Well I think Yang Mi is one of the better actresses and brings all her characters to life distinctively. Though I don't know what you've seen to make such an assessment coz none of her dramas are on your list.

A good actress should be able to play any role and I think Yang Mi and Li Yi Tong have good range. But I'd rather yang mi acts in a more serious role and skips both Jiao Zang and Si Ming.

There were a lot of disturbing things about the drama but I was especially put off by the acting of the foreign actor. I think overall it had a solid plot but was hindered by the creative vision of the director.
