I don't know the rules. but when your boss displays inappropriate behavior of a sexual nature towards you (golf scene, etc) and then would fire you even though you weren't the most deserving to be fired, but then changes his mind when you make passes at him (bar scene), even though it wasn't actually the case (not his intention), I can imagine how that could have come across to her as pressure. Yes, she walked into it herself, but i couldn't shake the feeling she was manipulated and taken advantage of. seriously the whole thing was just uncomfortable to watch.
At least it's a good sign. High quality dramas don't allow reuters or indulge in excessive promotion. Let's just wait for the official announcement. This drama doesn't even have a single poster lol.
A heroine focused political drama is rare. Most of the previous big heroine historical dramas have been mostly about women fighting each other, fen wenming on the other hand seems more popular for actual political achievements. If Li xueyi was actually approached for male lead, that means the male lead role is for son or grandson and this drama will be more focused on events after the female lead becomes the empress dowager. She might even have her own small harem 🙃 I'm looking forward to a real and rare powerful female lead historical drama role for yang mi, and I hope the team can be upgraded, because without a good team there's no point shooting this drama.
Yes I've heard about these dramas. Yang Mi seems very interested in Jiangshan Datong but nothing has been finalized. If she's going to take it, the team needs to be upgraded. I heard it's been moved to tencent from youku. The double heroine one is less likely to be picked up.
There's also Iqiyi's 12 episode short drama "Thelma and Louise", with the same team from https://kisskh.at/26978-peace-hotel. A double heroine drama about a thief and a female cop teaming up to solve a mystery. And there was another short drama "She who is lonelier than fireworks" based on yi shu's novel. Female lead is an actress.
But "Jiangshan Datong" seems to be the most stable and she probably has another movie to film.
