The director of the period rural drama "All things born" has confirmed that Yang Mi will start filming in April. YM's role will span 20 years and sounds challenging. The plot also gives me "Red Sorghum" vibes. So currently to be aired: Fox spirit matchmaker Harbin 1944 There's nothing that can't be undone by a hotpot meal (movie) Jiangyuan lane (movie) All things born (to be filmed)
Dirty water was poured in pots and basins, and I was too lazy to wash them off. I don't mind if you help me hide the truth. With these comments, I feel safe~ -Yang Mi-
so is she rumoured to star in a drama after filming this movie?
Lol I don't think YM herself knows what she's going to shoot next 🥲though I might be exaggerating. Everyone's saying she's finding it hard to organize her schedule. There's a rumor that a Hong Kong director is waiting for her schedule to shoot another movie. If she's going to shoot a drama I feel it will either be mid year or the end of next year. YM has always wanted to be a movie star now that she's left her former company I think she'll be taking more opportunities in that area.
Yang Mi has been confirmed to join the crew of the movie "Jiang Yuan Lane" directed by Peter Chan starring Zhang Zi Yi, Lei Jiayin, Yang Mi, etc. YM has been rumored to star since 2016 and at the beginning of the year the director followed her. However at the time YM was about to join the "Harbin 1944" crew so the rumor was refuted. Yang Mi also has "Assassination of the Novelist 2" since the movie will center on Tu Ling the villain character in the first part, but a lot can happen between now and the time it starts filming. There's also a rumor for Qing dynasty drama "Female Businesswoman" which has been going on for a while and hasn't been refuted so time will tell all.
That's definitely not what happened in this drama. Each of the women characters had distinct personalities with…
When you've searched through ten episodes at an interval of five minutes and don't glimpse a single woman, you don't need an expert to tell you there isn't a woman worth watching. I've quietly dumped many cdramas in this genre because there are either no women or all the female characters are written from a male perspective so I no longer invest carelessly. Even though it's historically accurate to have few or no relevant women in politics, it feels unnatural having to watch something extremely male dominant when there have been successful shows in this genre with equally relevant and interesting male and female characters.
Nothing that is true. These days you only know what's true a few before she starts filming. But she said during Paris fashion week that she's preparing for a new role so something's settled.
Finally wrapped up after six months of filming. Will check out because: 1. The director does well with complex characters 2. There's a female character with depth 3. Yang Mi is playing a villain 😜
Just read all the funny recaps on dramaswithasideofkimchi and it was like rewatching the whole thing ☺️ I don't think it's possible to forget this drama
