So, I jumped into this right after reading the description, not knowing it was tagged "comedy". I thought the show would be pretty dark, but it turned out to be dark comedy and I absolutely loved watching the show. I am not much of a romance lover unless its a BL, so I was fine with this drama having zero romance. Tbh, I have seen shows that try to have to the romance factor on top of the storyline and often it messes the show. So, big thumbs up for no romance!
I am a great fan of Yoon Shi Yoon ever since I watched Hit The Top. He is really built for these comedic roles. As for Jung In Sun, I had already seen her on Eulachacha Waikiki. For the first time, I had witnessed Park Sung Hoon's acting and seriously, he made me believe that he is a psychopath...that's how good his acting is. And Yoon Shi Yoon when he was turning as a psycho...like one moment, he is a cute, little puppy and then next moment, he is rolling his eyes and is giving killer vibes.
Like many, I was annoyed by Bo Gyeong's character. Yeah, she is a cop and needs to suspect everything but its sometimes creepy - more than the behavior of the psycho. She snoops around someone's house she barely knows, she wasn't a better cop or profiler - even Dong Shik seemed witty in front of her and unlike other female cops I have seen in dramas, she isn't strong. On the other hand, I wasn't annoyed by Dong Shik's stupidity or him being a naive pushover. As a person who is considered a pushover in most cases, I was able to relate to him. The reel recordings and film references were chef's kiss. And for Seo In Woo, I want to hate him, but I JUST CAN'T WITH THAT HANDSOME FACE. But, I was impressed with his taste in music. Happy with his fate though!
But the real MVP of the show were Alfred, Dong Shik's family and the 'suicide note' friend because they all believed with no doubts that Dong Shik is innocent. Other co-workers of Dong Shik, the Team Lead and Bo Gyeong's coworker cop were the other people I liked. Actually, I was shipping Bo Gyeong with that co-worker. And I loved Bo Gyeong's dad - especially the delusional Holmes dad.
Overall, its a very entertaining show. The OST 'I Just Wanna Be Bad' is stuck in my head. I loved how Dong Shik's new career and as a escape room enthusiast myself, I would like to work on that field as well. Everything was wrapped up and nice ending in my opinion. Will re-watch when I need a good laugh in future.
I saw the trailer for this months ago and was excited since ladyboys are rare topic. But, the comments are not helping. I don't want to watch that is something that is offending the LGBTQIA+ community. I don't want to support such a series.
How this series could be so under-rated? And how come this series is rated 7.9? Imo, it clearly should be above 8 if not more. I loved every moment of this show.
I am currently watching Psychopath Diary and I haven't yet watched Queen of Tears. His acting impeccable and I really want to see him in more projects as the hero. He doesn't deserve any of this hatred. Why people are judging actors based on the fictional characters they play? Morons!
Ok. So, in S1, at the end of ep 6, they showed a guy called Cal living in Rich's house and Greg and Tupe confronted him saying he doesn't love Rich and he is a conman. Now, in S2, there was no explanation to that scene. And did Rich just got intimate with a young guy and then next day he was with Dominic planning to go Japan? And got married to him like after a week? Isn't that too fast? And what's with Tupe dreaming of being intimate with Rich? OH GOD, WHAT A MESS!
I am a non Teume, but I loved this show. Like there wasn't much of story or message, but I still enjoyed it. And guess, I can watch more episodes with all of them just being silly.
I am recent fan of OnlyOneOf. Sorry to say, but the actors weren't much good at acting...I have seen many kpop artists on-screen with amazing acting. The story was rushed and scattered here and there. I didn't understand the motives of Hyunbin towards Jihoon. And I really don't get how Eden fell in love with Jihoon when he felt so repulsed by two men being together. The only thing I liked was the manager of Lion Heart. P.S: Mill looks like a lost sibling of Thai actor Net Siraphob in some camera angles, just my opinion!
is kim shin immortal yet again? So is there no way for him to die? he will basically See eun tak die thrice and…
Yeah, I guess Kim Shin is immortal now. He won't die at all. Eun Tak might have not blown the candle for nine years...she is not exactly the 'birthday celebration' type. Also, she made a wish while blowing the candle - she said she wants to know what had happened and why she is forgetful about her memories. Since, Kim Shin was the source of her losing memories, he turned up.
No matter how many I times I watch Goblin, I end up bawling my eyes out. The heartbreak is real..this show just wrenches your heart. Goblin was a show that made kdramas popular worldwide and it is a legendary drama - even after centuries Goblin will remain in all our hearts. And damn, every OST in this show just hits you differently.
Now that I have watched insane amount of times, I feel like the ending should be an open sorta cliffhanger one. Like Goblin stays around giving miracles to all living beings while hoping that his bride will once again meet him. So, we viewers can just hope he met her someday.
I would have loved to see the backstories of Shirube - who Shirube wants to protect and why he has become so indifferent? And Seigi, because he is so handsome. And then Yuuki - how he ended up in debt and why he gave up on his life? Btw, the actor Yuyu kinda looks like Ryota - his acting was so good.
This is my first Death Game tagged drama(yeah, I haven't yet watched the popular Squid Games till now). I enjoyed the show...though my head was spinning about all the math that was involved. Yet it was a thrilling show and I loved the characters. Zero and Shirube were the intelligent folks, one very compassionate and another, ambitious. But, Shirube was way more intelligent than Zero - considering that he was just a schoolboy. Out of Zero's friends, I only liked Hiroshi - because unlike other two, he never wavered and was loyal to Zero till the end. Seigi and Yuuki became my favorite when the end was nearing - I really wanted the backstories of Seigi, Yuuki and Shirube.
I actually did not get, what exactly did Zero do to that Mitsuru guy? Did he take a picture of his gilfriend and…
No, Zero had no interest over that girl. It so happened that Mitusuru submitted his gf's photo which Zero had taken, thinking that he was the one who took that photo. He won the award, but Zero and the gf didn't disclose the truth to him. A company approaches him to publish his photos as a photobook after his success. So, Mitsuru sells his pension house and decides to do photography full time. But, suddenly the company cancels the photobook since none of the photos were as good as the one that won the award. He figures out the truth and blames Zero and his gf for everything. He and his gf accidentally fall down a cliff after he storms out of the house. The gf loses her memories and Mitsuru loses his legs. He escapes before Zero could help him out of the cliff and everyone thought he had died. In the end, Mitsuru and his gf get back together after tells her what had happened, though the gf doesn't recall her past memories. They both work in a studio.
Tbh, I was skeptical about this show. I was wondering whether this show was over-hyped. After many years of BL watching, I have grown numb I guess. I no longer know how to choose a good show to watch. I was in the verge of avoiding this show because of the plot. For me, the plot was a mixture of Kiseki: Dear To Me(the gangsta part) and History 4(brothers not related by blood falling in love). But, decided to give it a go. And what a masterpiece I would have missed!
Chris is such a good actor. I don't know but his face gives a mysterious and sorrowful aura and guess that was an advantage for him in this series. Chris and Kurt had amazing chemistry. And all actors were good, I was even appreciating the handsome features of Le and Xiong. And there was Sam Lin...he was just gorgeous and his screen-time with Le was like five minutes and I WAS INSANELY SHIPPING THEM.
I love Wei Qian. He is so selfless. He even wished to save his abusing mother. He took care of his siblings so well. And he could have just ignored Yuan, but even at a young age, when he was in a position where he was struggling to make ends meet, he was such a compassionate person. I have not read the novel, but Yuan's guts led him to a family and love. Yuan is so lucky. And who would be okay with three boxing matches that might possibly kill you to save an adopted kid? I am just impressed by Wei Qian. And even when he was ill, he worked his ass off and throughout the show he was like "I am okay" when he was not. Such a brave character.
Yuan was a hopeless romantic and his eyes and his actions all showed how he cared for Qian. He had such beautiful lines like 'I can summarize my whole life in two words, Wei Qian'. He was like a glue that held up the family together. The suffering of loving his brother and trying to suppress those emotions, I bawled my eyes out.
Though there are many favorite scenes(including that particular "Aren't we moving too fast?" scene), the scene that made me fall in love with this series is: A sleepy Qian babbling about the various places where Yuan can study further in abroad while Yuan was widely looking at his brother, wishing to stay with him forever like this. And on top of that, each episode name about the family - that was just chef's kiss! Also the scene where a pregnant Lili kneels down and all the three men immediately lift her up...she is everyone's princess..such a lucky girl!
Overall, its a pretty good show. I will re-watch again for sure.
I am about to watch it for the bromance but i read some comments that one of the ML is married to the FL. Nah…
But the bromance is pretty strong. The ML gets married in last episode only. You get a cheek kiss between the male leads(also in last episode) and there is even a scene where the male leads kinda have a romantic dinner with music and all and one male lead gives a watch as a gift to another one. Watch this FMV to get a gist of how their relationship would look like: https://youtu.be/b6K5h-SYTiI?si=AsutrkmlHOYQP_wv

Rating: 9/10.
