Title Jazz for Two
Why there's so much hate for this show? I have not read the webtoon but I liked the show.
The leads had chemistry. I thought the pic of Ji Ho Geun here looks a lot like Lim Ji Sub who played Jae Won in T8S, but there was much more similarities between the two. Ji Ho Geun's side profile almost looks like Ji Sub. And his eyes and smile seems to be exact replica of Ji Sub. Besides that, the characters Taeyi and Jaewon had a lot in common - both of them lost their brothers, both attended therapy and both of their trauma was cured by their respective lovers.
Seheon seems to have chemistry with all the cast. I thought Jooha really liked Seheon and it was heading towards a love triangle, but I am glad there was no such trope. Off the topic, but the actress playing Jooha's sister has really big ears, which sticks out. And good that she backed off when she knew Taeyi wasn't interested in her and she even felt bad for Seheon when Jooha was making him uncomfortable.
The title of the show is for the side characters and that makes this show unique. Tae Joon's character was so dreamy and I loved him. Se Jin and Tae Joon had chemistry, but poor Se Jin!
I have some doubts about the show though since I haven't read the webtoon, so could someone clarify it? I have asked the queries in the below spoiler.

I finally decided to watch after putting it off for so long. I read the webtoon a long time ago, but I may have…
I haven't started to watch this yet, but yeah I also thought the actor playing Taeyi looks so similar to Jaewon.
On Cooking Crush: Uncut Version May 21, 2024
I really agree with all of the comments. OffGun are a power couple and one of the strongest ships of GMMTV. But, Cooking Crush was not just made for them. I rewatched TOL, I rewatched Not Me. But I don't think I would rewatch CC. Yeah, the acting was good, I laughed at many scenes and cried at some scenes, but something lacked despite this show being the one with greater number of kisses between Off and Gun. I don't know if its the story or something else but OffGun should have been given another project.
I must say I loved the second couple more. Neo's duality in OF and CC makes him an incredible actor. Aungpao is a rookie but he slayed as Dynamite and I hope to see more of him in future. Much like anyone else, I shipped Unky and Metha and was a bit disappointed when Unky and Pang started dating. UnkyPang are cute but I felt UnkyMetha would have made much sense, since they had this insane married couple chemistry.
One thing I liked though is the fact that Ten's dad and Fy's mom weren't homophobic. Ten's dad was just worried that his son might have been scammed because he was learning cooking from a culinary student and he had paid large amounts for it. Next, he was concerned that Ten would get distracted from his studies because of love, which is true because Ten's grades had fallen. He never expressed his anger or concerns of dating a guy. Fy's mom was a over-protective and ever-controlling mom, and imo, worse than Ten's dad. She reminds me of my family and I can somewhat understand her, she wants her son to be a good gentleman and praised in society. Glad that she finally came around.
The OSTs Baby Crush and What's Zabb are very good.
Now, I am just concerned that OffGun's next show The Trainee might turn out bland as well. People are already done with school-based, university-themed and workplace romances. We already have a bunch of workplace romances like Step By Step, Bed Friend, Middleman's love, etc. and I am fearing The Trainee's plot might repeat the same common story. It would be better to give OffGun a series that involves action, mystery, paranormal or anything else that keeps the viewers hooked. I would be even okay with The Trainee having a supernatural or mystery backdrop.

Tae started opening up to Shin Woo when he saw the unread text messages in his phone. And Da On really liked Tae,…
Shinwoo is first love to Tae because they were dating. Da On remained as a crush to Tae till the end...since they never got together.

Uncut has more steamy scenes compared to cut version. I watched on kissasian.
Yes the one on kissasian is an uncut one.

Title Cheat The Series Spoiler
Some are saying because Dong's love was stronger than the spell, it broke Jen's love speel but I don't believe so. Vee is a demon baby. The Sister was his own mom. Back when she was young, she did the same stuff as Jen and was pregnant with Vee, which means the love spell she cast on someone didn't work because that person didn't love her. Since Vee is a demon baby, the Sister tried to be harsh with him, because she knows Vee is capable of harming others. But then Jen's mom knows the truth about her past and the Sister was afraid Vee would know about it, so she left him for the convent. Jen performed the baby spell, but since Vee doesn't love her, she will carry a demon child. But the mom passed the curse onto herself and died, so that Jen is alive and doesn''t have the baby. So, there was no need for Jen to die, but Vee killed her. So, in a way, Vee destroyed the family. My theory for his revenge is the Sister must have performed the love spell on Dong's father, but failed. Vee knows that he is a demon child - since he is always bashed by the Sister as sinful. If only Dong's father loved Sister, then he would have been born as a normal child. So, he is destroying the family that would have been his family. In a way, Dong and Vee might be half-brothers, but if Sister performed the love spell without getting intimate with Dong's dad...I don't know what to call it.

Agree, Spark by A.C.E is a BOP that hypes you up, has a beautiful guitar riff and the lyrics match the characters.…
Oh...I haven't paid much attention to other songs, I will look into it, thanks!

Rewatched this now and I must say, I love the OST Spark and the illustration at the end of every episode more than the series itself. There's something magical about this OST. Namgung and Mr. Seo were my favorite characters, if only we all get a friend like Namgung and a teacher like Mr. Seo...life would be bliss.

But then Da On picks up courage and confesses his love to Tae. Tae became confused a bit. Later, Tae pities Da On because he had underwent a lot but he doesn't change his decision of loving Shinwoo.

i just finished to watch the series and i really loved it but i am still a bit confused cause i didn't understand…
Tae started opening up to Shin Woo when he saw the unread text messages in his phone. And Da On really liked Tae, but since he was a people-pleaser and don't want to disappoint his parents and friends, he gave up on his love. Unlike Shinwoo, he cares a lot about what people think about him and he wants to maintain his image.

Title Not Me
Just finished rewatching and I must say there had never been any other series like Not Me. No other series can compete because this is one legendary series with zero flaws and absolute perfection. Imo, the rating should be higher than 8.5. They don't make series like this nowadays.

Did anyone else find it odd that they gay baited in that one episode and then did NOTHING with it. That felt so…
Which one are you talking about? In the last episode, that evil senior of Theia who was stabbed by culprit comes to the wedding and they show a kind of bromance between him and another senior guy. Or are you talking about Tae Hee, vice captain of Theia and Yoo Min, the former captain of Theia...like Tae Hee saves Yoo Min from falling down when they are in Busan at the captain Jung Woo's home?

I think this is the first time that I shifted gears from one male lead to another male lead in a love triangle. I was Team Sun Ho till 7 or 8 episodes. I was supporting him because of his genuine first love and his persistence. But after multiple rejections from Hae Yi, I wanted him to give up - because at this point he seemed to manipulate her with his words and he was a bit pathetic begging for love. I wasn't rooting for Jung Woo either but once he started dating, he became so adorable and it was hard not to fall for his charms. So, yeah, I ended up being Team Jung Woo. Poor Sun Ho tho -
Hae Yi was funny, but she was bit annoying and overreacting at times. What upset me the most was the fact that despite knowing the danger is lurking around wherever she went, she wasn't serious about it. Even after the light falling incident on stage and the fire accident, she was very calm. I don't think any jovial person would be very calm in such a situation, it was unrealistic. She was stupid not to inform others or Sun Ja when she is going out alone. Everybody ended up searching for Hae Yi - she seemed irresponsible.
Imo, I loved the cheer squad, I loved the stage performances and their attires and their songs. I feel like I haven't cherished my college days the way I should have done. I was such a boring person and all I remember around academics. This show made me feel like I was one among Theia. I enjoyed the college life at Yonhee. I believe college days can be colorful, if we look beyond the black and white. Last two episodes made me cry...and I rarely cry while watching dramas.
The culprit reveal made me confusing but now that it ended, I think the culprit is an idiot to believe in those prophecies and he really needs therapy.
Overall: 8.5/10.
On Oh! My Sunshine Night May 6, 2024
Title Oh! My Sunshine Night Spoiler
I think I get the negative comments. 18 episodes were a bit too much for this show. They could have nicely wrapped up within 12, but they stretched and brought it to 18. The plot was too predictable. We knew within first few episodes that Kim and Sun had already met in childhood. And around 12-14 episode, everyone had already guessed that Rain is living in that secret basement. Despite all the dragging, they rushed the ending. Like was Sun cured of his heart condition? Can he finally be with his parents? Santi who seemed a bit disapproving of Payu's relationship with Rain...did he finally accept them? What is Payu's ambition - to serve Rain or does he have his own ambition?
Guess the writer and director gave OhmFluke the roles because "the soulmate" story worked for them in UWMA. There were too many unnecessary characters like I don't get in what way Ryan and Peat were contributing to the story, except that Ryan's character Oh kinda started liking Shun in the last couple of episodes. Kim is an introvert and still they showed him having a bunch of friends.
I thought Payu was mature and would act wisely. But then he suddenly called all of Kim's friends to the safe-house. Of course, evil Doctor will know their location. Payu could have called Baibua and Sun alone since they were more close to Kim then anyone else.
Out of three couples, I only liked Payu and Rain's story. Sorry but I couldn't get what was the deal with Pie and Petch. One moment they are fighting each other, next they are teasing each other using Kim and Sun as excuses. And all of a sudden, the two are doing it out in the open.
This show had potential but they failed to deliver with the right pacing.

READ THIS BEFORE YOU WATCH CHEER UP OR WHILE WATCHING CHEER UP!

Came across an interesting article - Yonhee cheerleading team is inspired by Yonsei University's cheerleading team. Find out more here: https://www.kpopmap.com/korea-explained-similarities-between-kdrama-cheer-up-korean-cheerleading-at-yonsei-university-ft-interviews/

So, those who are saying that the shows of the cheer squad looks like it is from a national sports event, hear are some key points from the above article, if you could not access the whole article:
1. Cheerleading culture is very big in Korea as Korean people are much interested in sports like baseball and soccer. So, cheer squad shows are always done magnificently, especially in big universities.
2. Two of the three big universities, Yonsei and Korea, have cheer battles as shown in this drama.
3. The campus of Yonhee was shot at Yonsei. Many kdramas are often shot at Yonsei.
4. Both the cheerleading teams, Theia and Ignis, are inspired from the cheerleading teams of Yonsei and Korea. The color scheme of the outfits, the costume design, the symbols and logos associated with the universities, the cheer songs, the dance sequences - everything is heavily inspired by the real universities.
5. Often, the cheer battles or festivals are attended by famous celebs who sing songs to honor the university. You can find such videos on YouTube.
On The Eighth Sense May 1, 2024
Now that I watched this masterpiece several times(I have lost count), I have more deeper understanding of the story. T8S is in a league on its own - you can't compare it with any other BLs.
First, both Ji Hyun and Jae Won were attracted to each other right from the moment they met. It was evident - their body language said it all. It was love at first sight. I am not much of a believer of love at first sight. I always thought one might get attracted to someone and they might label that attraction as love. But this drama proved that could happen. The Eight Sense is all about following your guts. Your subconscious mind knows what it wants more than anyone else around you, even including yourself. Ji Hyun and Jae Won acted upon their instincts. They didn't say 'I had always liked girls' or 'I don't like others. I only like you' or 'How can I like a guy?' or 'This is wrong. How will people judge us?'. They only cared about each other's feelings. They were true to their emotions and didn't disregard them. They never doubted why they were having such feelings. In fact, they never confessed love to each other - they both knew they were in love and started dating.
Unlike other dramas, there was no dramatic scene to make them fall in love - like clumsily falling in the arms, one main lead doing something that impresses the other, etc. They met, they tried to avoid(ep1 Ji Hyun goes to his dorm even after seeing Jae Won is having a hangover; Jae Won avoiding Ji Hyun after the incident), they tried to approach(Jae Won approaches Ji Hyun with an excuse of an lighter when he had one; Ji Hyun joins surf club because Jae Won was there), they became intimate, they got separated but then their hearts couldn't bear it and they end up together.
In most BLs, the main obstacles would be homophobic family and friends, society judgement and pressure, ex returning suddenly to reunite with one of the guys or one of them already being in a relationship. But, internal trauma becomes the backdrop in this drama. The fear of losing another loved one haunts Jae Won and he tries his best to let go off his feelings for Ji Hyun, but couldn't. They didn't 'Fight the world to be together' instead they chose to 'Be together and fight the world'.
Ji Hyun being an introvert was courageous than Jae Won when it came to love. He did things that he usually wouldn't do - he joined surf club, he went with Jae Won to the beach not knowing any details, he put Eun Ji in her place. He was determined to win Jae Won back. After watching this drama, I have started believing in my guts more. I think all we have to do is trust that inner voice and believe that it will lead to the right path. Be bold and listen to your heart. No matter how you are treated badly by people for your guts and decisions, trust that you are doing the right thing.
I know many would be annoyed by Eun Ji and Tae Hyung. But, don't we all have one or two people who annoy us in our lives? Don't we have people who are ready to laugh and mock when we fall down? Don't we have people who don't regard our own happiness? So, don't drop or avoid this drama because you don't like the side characters. At least the couple has got Ae Ri, Yoon Won and Joon Pyo who didn't judge their love.
The song choices Ben Goldstein's I Can't Lose It All and Conan Gray's The Story - they were just perfect choices for the couple. I hope we all get a love as pure and magical as Jae Won and Ji Hyun's. I don't get why the ratings are dropping for this masterpiece. Why nowadays people aren't appreciating good stuff?
