Oh really? I had high expectations on this show because the Youtubers did a good job with those fan edits. Maybe I'll just watch for the sake of Fort and Peat then.
I am waiting for this show to end so that I can binge-watch but I have seen some FMVs. All I can tell by the looks of it is that LITA comes across as an innocent BL compared to Love Sea. LOL.
I feel like this show is the perfect romcom. Often, romcoms tend to side heavily on one side - either romance or comedy. Or else some other factor will make the romcom fall through. But this had a perfect blend of both comedy and romance. Let me speak of Moo first. He is a complete package. Yes he might come across a carefree boy like any other teenager. But he clearly knows what his desires and doesn't hesitate to achieve them. He is matured too - he wants to communicate and sort out things rather than leave things hanging in the air. He love physical touch, affectionate and doesn't shy away from showing off his love to Kang in public. Imo, I have never seen a young character so much in love and so much flirty. Kang is a shy matured guy. I love Sea's facial expressions when Kang is shy. He had never been in love and suddenly here comes a schoolboy flirting with him left and right. Even my heart would have swayed with Moo around. He is also a selfless guy. TaeYos chemistry was also very good. Theirs was a slowburn romance. The OSTs are ofc perfect...IT'S GMMTV. The cameo of (You Know Who) had me screaming my heart out. The series gave us a good social message - Celebs are humans and have every right to date whomever they want.
I don't know why they ask if he is Korean, it is not the first message regarding this and others asked if he is…
I have clearly stated I meant no offence. I am not asking he's Korean because he is handsome; I feel that his face has features that closely aligns with Korean people. And I don't know about others, I find all Asian people equally attractive.
I haven't started watching this show yet because I want to binge-watch after it completes. But I have been seeing a lot of Shun and Dai edits, so I am curious: is Shun really Japanese? He looks like Korean to me, that's why I am asking. I mean no offence I just like to know his birth origins.
Can someone tell me if there is romance in the original novel? Please spoil it for me. I want to know whether the characters had a real relationship or was it just bromance in the novel.
This is obviously a show from a small production company. But, still they did an amazing job in my opinion compared to shows from other small production companies. The story wasn't unique and was filled with the usual tropes, the locations of the scenes and the cinematography wasn't great because of the small budget. Yet every flaw disappeared because of the acting of the leads and the insane chemistry they share. In fact, the main couple in this show had the best chemistry I have ever seen in a Korean BL. The way they stare each other and them being together in close proximity itself gives me butterflies in my stomach. I had never seen such sexual tension in a Korean BL before and I have watched a fair amount of Korean BLs so I know my facts. Seung Jin shared incredible chemistry with the other male leads. The cinematography isn't high-end, but I liked it very much. It was natural and realistic - it felt like the characters were our neighborhood boys; the show didn't seem polished just to please the eye. And the OST...damn, they were all incredible and really fit the storyline and scenes. Overall, I enjoyed the chemistry more than the story and I am eagerly waiting for the spinoff Bad Guy which is about Tae Ha.
Sorry but I couldn't feel the chemistry between the actors. I have never seen the FL on-screen before but acting-wise she was good. Kyung Ho had always been my favorite actor after I watched him on Prison Playbook. I was shocked by the age gap. Honestly speaking, the FL looks aged unlike other aged actors who look young. So obviously the chemistry faltered when FL and ML were together. And on top of that, the fashion style of FL wasn't helping.
I felt there were too many subplots packed into this show, which made the show cluttered. Like the flashes of the decade old suicide of the girl student and her mom was poorly explained. And the same goes for Sunjae's brother. The show tried to capture the plight of all students and their families and while doing so, it messed up the main story. Moreover, till ep 5 or 7 the show was at the right pace but then they keep dragging the story. Imo, the show could be wrapped up in 10-12 episodes.
The biggest plot twist was the culprit. From the beginning itself, only Sunjae's brother was shady so I couldn't suspect anyone. Only after the 10th episode, the culprit became predictable. Though I must say I teared up a little at his ending. But that doesn't mean he could be excused from his crimes. And cheers to the detectives - in most of the shows they either cover up or make foolish assumptions; here they were heading in the right direction.
The most important thing highlighted in the show is how the students are pressured for the exams, how parents could go to any extremes to make their kids ace their exams and how no one gives a shit on what the students feel. And one more lovely thing is the trio as a family along with Yeong Ju. They were a heart-warming family. Haeng Seon was selfless right from the beginning till the end.
Is it true that Ek Villain Hindi movie is a remake of this movie? I saw this fact in the comments of YT and wanted to confirm. Because by the show description, it doesn't seem similar to Ek Villain.
