No wonder he is so busy these past year - released Netflix movie Sweet and Sour, this drama we are enjoying so much and filming Now, We Are Breaking Up with Song Hye Kyo. He does look like a ahjussi in this drama, You're right. Haha. Yes! Hyeri and Ki Yong pairing is genius, you're spot on . I can't see Lee Dam or Woo Yeo played by anyone else but them! True, by the looks of the behind the scenes, the cast seem to be really close and having fun. It's nice to see when people actually enjoy what they are doing for a living. I am a fan of Ki Yong after watching Search www not long ago so I'm glad to see he is getting good scripts. Agree with you about the action scenes, seemed effortless to him. He positively surprises me all the time. Kudos to the production and casting teams for this drama.

Jang Ki Yong is the most underrated K actor. If you watch him in My Mister as the gangster money lender you will appreciate his acting chops. He can deliver angst, tortured soul, cutesy, ceo, gangster, action star - a versatile actor. I find his eyes expressive and his smile intoxicating. What I love about him is he doesn't take on safe roles eventhough with his 188cm chiseled runway god looks, he certainly can. He has been in this industry since 2012, close to a decade. In 2013 he was asked to be part of IU's MV...twice. 2014 he debut as an actor. He has thoughtfully honed his skills and repertoire as an actor. Not only is he brilliant professionally but he is multi-talented. He has won against his 1st mentor, singing a Ballad song. This guy can also rap and has a rapper's soul. He also plays the drums in his free time. In short, He has the whole package because his personality will take a new longer paragraph.

Me too. I do like the second male lead story, it's interesting and I can see the appeal. However I totally in love with the lead couple... the chemistry between Jang Ki Yong and Hyeri is undeniable. In fact it's more than that, it's off the charts and I'm loving it.
What I know so far about a Gumiho:- *Mythical fox, not human, no human feelings. *Possesses a red bead. *Can live till 1000 years. *1000 years deadline to turn to human. *After 1000 years still a gumiho, gumiho turns to a Maegu/evil gumiho(Murders humans to possess the red bead) *Their Creator is like a Gumiho God can watch over and warn you. Both the creator and gumiho can kill a Maegu? *Needs red bead to receive human energy which helps gumiho turn human? *human with bead gets weaker with time and can be fatal if transfer back of red bead is not done in time? *human with bead cannot eat chicken (gets sick - stomachache and energy drained?) *human with bead cannot touch or be touched by people born in the year of tiger (gets sick) *The transfer of the red bead is through the lips (how convenient haha) *if the red bead turns blue ( found only in humans )and is transfered back to gumiho, gumiho turns human *gumiho can teleport *gumiho can magically move objects *gumiho can wipe out memories except for people who possess a strong mind? *gumiho can transform to anybody he wants

Ya rejection sucks. To be fair I'm glad Lee Dam didn't lead him on especially when she is still in love with someone else. I actually love that Lee Dam came out early and and rejected Sun Woo. I really dislike misunderstandings that drag out too long which I've seen all too often in kdrama land. This is refreshing and makes me love to drama more.

I like this drama..but he doesn't really have to erase her memories...should have just confessed and told her…
The reason is Jang Ki Yong's character is not human. He doesn't feel like humans. He only can identify her as family. He doesn't yet realise how much he has fallen for her. Also he lied to her about the red bead and taking human energy from her. I think the guilt also played a part that he felt compelled to stop using and deceiving her. Erasing her memory, in his own way was his way to absolve his guilt and lies. Also in the beginning episodes, they showed his internal dialog that he wipes their memories once he takes back the bead. Another point is Jung So Min's character, I do not believe Gumiho actually had a love relationship with her. Just that he gave her his bead, taking her energy and paying for the mistake of leaving it too long to save her. Which is why he never does it again hence being super popular with the girls but stays away from them, never getting into a relationship with them. Of course Lee Dam changed all that. Anyway I also dont think Gumiho is in love with Jung So Min and in her dying scene she alluded to knowing why she is dying and yet not blaming him. He obviously cared for her to have the only portrait/photo in his 999 years of living. However, I believe he still hasn't fallen in love, in the human sense with anyone until Lee Dam. I hope this explains it. So the coming episodes should be showing how he realizes how much he has fallen for her. Exciting days... hence I c.a.n.n.o.t w.a.i.t !
How can I wait a week 😫 I need episode 9 now! This drama is my addiction 2021! Otoke? Love everything about it. This show wouldn't be the same without Jang Ki Yong !
