Title Reborn Spoiler
About the ending...
Got abit boring & slow the last few episodes. The only reason I didnt fast forward was because she deserves happiness after all she has been through. I felt the prolonged angst was for angst sake , having no contact the years they were apart and that ending Ming Sheng declaring he will always be there for her ( paraphrasing ) is conflicting. I dont understand why in this modern technological age they had to cut contact whilst they were apart. Also i dont know if im missing something but what happened after Ming Sheng provoked that scum of the earth thug? Did he get hurt by the thug's knife ? What was the consequence of that. They jumped around the scenes that I dont know what happened. Another critic - jumping scenes to drag out the story. I think 20 episodes would have been enough if they just gave us 2 minutes of bliss kiss scene for a Happy Ending. Beautiful as it was it was not enough for the hunger they put me through 22 episodes long with such heavy themes and then expect 2 minutes of food is enough to satiate my hunger. That ruined it for me

Title Reborn
I am thinking about stepping into the world of cdramas. Do you think this drama would ease that? The premise does…
try Hidden Love. I think this might be heavier, slower than Go Ahead so i think its best to try Hidden Love first.

Title Our Unwritten Seoul Spoiler
Did we watch the same ep.? 😭 What do you mean "back to square one"?
that was before i watched the last 10 minutes. Yes I should have reserved my rant befode finishing the episode i give you that. the misunderstanding trope still lazy overused to drag this drama. The going back to square one is that im still disappointed mi rae learned nothing with the time she was given by mi ji and the experience she had knowing sejin. it would be more consistent and in keeping if it had. mi rae's development because of recluse so yeon is not executed well, whether she was a recluse, her sense of right and wrong shouldnt have wavered especially after the switch home.

Title Our Unwritten Seoul Spoiler
Annoying! Them both not communicating, not telling the truth, the lies, the noble idiocy ( pet peeve) and I dont buy Mi rae cowardice, didnt time away with Sejin give her a new perspective? Didnt Mi Ji help Mi Rae take a break so why not give Mi Ji a break too ? The hell is wrong with these two depressing dumb dumbs. Where is this development arc going but back to square one. I love this drama but today's episode seems like the same misunderstanding overused trope...first time feeling incredibly disappointed with the writing.. trying to drag this , sick of such storytelling tactics. **ps** this was written before the last 10 minutes.

Title The Litchi Road Spoiler
Yes!!! All episodes are out for express. Binge fest begins!! Li Shande I'm rooting for you
Ending is Brilliant ! Why? because it was a nail biting, edge of my seat, clever writing & twist right until the last episode, i didnt skip at all because every character loved or hated wasnt left hanging although not tied up in prettiest way I would have wanted. Inspector He - loved his ending whoever written it weaved it in like so naturally with attendant Yu's schemes. To me, the villian Inspector He's ending was the most satisfying. Of course the ending for Li Shande was the most satisfying for me too. My favourite scene was his scolding of right Chancellor & attendant yu infront of all their colleague. i was up from seat loving his tirade. yes the meek subservient patient Li Shande exploding was sooooooo satisfying. The ending for Ping'an - I really came to like him, rooting for him so the way it ended for him - felt kind of surreal. Gou'er really deserved Ping'an beating, i think when you watch it you will understand. I admit I cried when Li Shande found out Ah Li died & how he died. It was really heartbreaking. I think what wasnt very satisfying was how Hu Merchant was basically betrayed & never had any justice - not the kind that I wanted. I guess thats what in real life happens. The Dong community , Ah Li, Ping'an , the chicken fighting boss ( forgot his name ) , Amita the sea sail fund and in a way Li Shande didnt really get 100% payoff that I would have loved to see. Yet I found the ending befitting the time period, the history, the consistent pattern throughout the episodes. The villians like the Shanglin colleague of Li Shande , the 3 right chancellor co-conspirators - i didn't see justice or comeuppance which I know in real life not everything can be put back right. but still i did hope. i am abit confused about Right Chancellor & attendant yu's punishment from the emperor whether it happened as the rumors said however left chancellor said don't believe all the rumors - not sure if its a subtitle issue or something missed, same with library lady in lingnan, the coin was it just one side? & didnt she flipped the coin & left shawn dou ? im confused. probably need to rewatch or was it a subtitle lost in translation thingy again ? Overall I really enjoyed this drama from start to finish. I cannot emphasize how irritating people who loved the book are dissing this drama. I didnt read the book & had I listened to the book naysayers i would missed this incredible drama. its refreshing that there is no idol, no hot male star, the writing was superb, the story so clever, no episode was boring or slow, every episode hit the mark. What was most impressive for me is this depressing story based loosely from the history books come alive with such deep moral, historical, wisdom, characterisation, humanity, human connection, human fragility, corruption & greed all weaved so colorfully for a story so dark & depressing. I riled at the frustrating moments, I longed for their redemption, I cared for so many of the characters. I felt the love from the production. It didnt feel cheap and didnt need fancy sets when its trying to convey vividness in the pain, suffering & hardship of the litchi envoy. So much I want to say because that's what profound dramas does to me. This clever drama is a rare gem and watching it was time well spent.

Ep 26 im pulling my hair out !!! ...
Now it looks like Attendant Yu is going to take all the credit for Li Shande & Dong & Merchant Yu collab in this. I'm so riled up Ive started cursing these Vermin ! Now even his house deed is the cursed moneylenders hand. I cannot take it anymore this colossal corruption. I wouldnt survive 1 second in this time period. Now I truly think Li Shande should have followed Li Bi's advice

I always believed he will play a pivotal role in helping Li Shande but I'm gutted to see him male the ultimate sacrifice in order to save his master. I ugly cried. Why couldnt he have a happy ending 😭 Too real. The good ones die earliest. By far the character I rooted for the most after Li Shande. Im not ready to say goodbye
