I totally get his Qiao Family mistrust. I totally get his late brother wish for his betrothed but she married Bianzhou - there is mistrust there too. Im not expecting him to treat Qiao Ci with niceness at all. But neither do I buy his out of characterness being rude. You dont trust her brother - you investigate , you dont suddenly be an a**hole. what has his martial skills nor his academic resume have to do with the mistrust that Lady Yulou claims. Some poor half a$$ writing inconsistent with the capable, clever & kind Lord Wei that they previously fed us with. I look at it as a version of Juliet and Romeo and this plot , this character inconsistency just think he is being dumb rather than strategic
Sorry not buying Lord Wei's rudeness to Qiao Ci. I dont care what sway Lady Yulou poisoned him with. I know eventually he will come around but this just ruins it for me, his gullible-ness , noble idiocy being so easily scammed by a supposedly capable Lord. im now on 2x speed now coz im tbis close to skipping these 2 episodes. i hate misunderstandings and not a fan of lazy setup
wow ! I just marathoned the first 3 episodes. This is unexpectedly Good! Cast, Production, script, storyline especially the ML & FL dynamics. Totally swept into this drama. The Foursome Handsome Bromance is icing on the cake ! So far im hooked! Cant wait for more episodes. Im also relieved it is on IQIYI as I could have sworn not too long ago it was only MangoTV, had me so worried with bad eng sub reputation. And Song Wei Long is hitting all the notes brilliantly as the Prince. His fight scenes were superb too. This drama is the dark horse between Legend of Zanghai & Prisoner of Beauty. I guess we are in for a drama feast
So far so very good. Every episode hit the mark. Love the chemistry, the lovestory, the setup - its clever and the tension in every episode is riveting. Can't wait for more

Xiaozhou really irritated me right till the end. He is like a stalker *rolls my eyes* When you just witness the calm headed street smart cool supermum lose her sh*t when Daer was found after he ran away and what does he do when he was rejected the next day ? Xiaozhou goes and coerced Daer to approve their love relationship to win her over - doing exactly what she hated using her son's love for his mum as a weapon. That's some immature, cant read the room, still not understanding ManLi nor thinking of ManLi but only thinking of himself mentality. so selfish. They are not right for each other. He is forever the one she has to rescue. She already has a son , she doesnt need another child nor another burden. Right till the ending scene still waiting, stalking , didnt even ask her that he joined her to work at Blue Ocean. So annoying. I prefer ManLi with Mr Li. He is rough round the edges , clearly loved his late wife and daughter but a capable businessman. They would make a power couple and he would definitely appreciate her wit, tenacity and capableness. Her high EQ would be an asset to him just like his ex wife was. Her daughter clearly approves and encouraged him. I was hoping after some years ManLi getting back on her feet, they would be together but we get this ending.
Tang Ling - so satisfying that she was humiliated by the CEO publicly. Karma is a b*tch but I didnt get showdown or payday for what she did to ManLi - repeatedly destroyed ManLi's career. The knot wasnt tied & unfinished and left me only wanting...
As for the recycling aunty , im still upset at xiaozhou, it was all his fault. He ruined her daughter's life and her biggest worry came true which is that the son in law gets half of the marital inheritance. I dont know how Man Li can be so saintly , I would have ended all ties with Xiaozhou right there and then. im still bitter about this.

The positives- absolutely adore ManLi, wish her vlogs were real lol I love the stories of ordinary people and how insurance done right can be materially and even emotionally provide the security that can cater to individual needs. The scriptwriter and story telling weaved it well throughout the show. Just wish they never introduced the love part and if they did , did it better for ManLi- she deserves the best partner , a good husband who loves and supports her. A husband that appreciates all her qualities which are abundant and not some puppydog weasel like Xiaozhou. Surprisingly love the catchy intro song just the right tone to encapsulate ManLi's go getting character. All the cast was superb. Ex husband got what he deserved and his development arc was satisfying to see. Confessing his regret must have been hard but how Manli handled it was top class. The ex finally grown up was good to see. Lisu however , I kind of wish there was some comeuppance that made Xiaozhou father's inheritance property or business forfeited to Xiaozhou in tact not in flames - that would have been a nice karma but this Xiaozhou Lisu knot wasn't nicely tied up as well as I would like. I feel they could have done better. I would have given this a solid score if not for all the negatives of this drama. Such wasted potential

Because her old boss is not asking her to sell insurance but to handle market promotion and outreach activities for their new elderly care insurance division. That does not require a insurance license and this job would be a salaried not commissionable position.
