From the reviews Im scared to start this drama because there is something wrong with the ending. Whats wrong with it? open ending? abrupt ending? bad ending? Its fully okay to spoil it for me because i refuse to finish a drama feeling unsatisfied. hence I need to know lol I chose not to watch legend of Yanxi because of this.

Second male lead actually isn’t soo bad but it drove me crazy how he kept on pulling and dragging her (man handling). I could smack him for it lol but he actually has some cute sides to him.

Its low ratings because its sucks. All the great dramas currently being released im surprised someone approved of this production.

My favorite dramas overall are
1. The Legend of Lu zheng
2. The story of Ming Lan
3. Nirvana in Fire (only because I enjoy romance as a central part of my drama so it doesn't rank so high
4. Palace Lock Heart

The romance I have enjoyed are in the legend of Lu Zhen, Schemes of a beauty I liked how both male leads in these dramas while powerful they respected the female leads a great deal. Legend of Fu Yao was I thought was very steamy and I love the chemistry. I especially LOVE POWER COUPLES!!!

I dont like noble idiocy in a drama. I hate misunderstanding that drag for longer than 2 episodes between a couple.

Oh and I HAAAATE lol a second male lead that gets too much spotlight. Examples of this is

1. Ashes of Love
2. Princess Agent
3. The King's woman
4. General and I
5. Virtuous Queen of Han
6. Princess Weiyoung
7. I will never let you go (for now)

Yeah I loved the Korean one but wasn’t a fan of the Chinese one. Definitely a big fan of Palace lock heart.

Also How are the the romances in the two dramas?

I do feel like the ending of the drama left more to be desired. I personally would have loved to watch the evil people suffer a little more. 1st Evil step mom should have lived the rest of her life watching GTY and ML live a happy life while punished to live as a commoner with her son. Killing her was too easy of an end for her.

Evil Aunt should have had the same ending ans Concubine Lin.

One of my favorite Chinese historical dramas after Legend of Lu Zheng. First of all the level of acting in this drama is top notch and I haven't seen this level of acting since Nirvana in fire. If anyone has seen a drama with better acting or even on the same level please please recommend. I am now in need of a good drama to watch.

This drama is just okay to me. The female is not as bad ass as I expected her to be. I actually prefer the lead couple from Legend of Dugu because there was chemistry there.
