Okay. I was confused reading people calling Ritsu's brother, step brother. Im like aren't they both coming from same father. It should be half brother. And Gaga is translating it right. Turns out Viki is translating it as step brother. It is 2023 and some people still cannot differentiate between step siblings and half siblings. SMH
Everything about this drama just fall short. Not enough eps I guess. They were funny in ep1 but then they just cringe. Like ... aren't ML is just another stalker? just because he is ML and handsome, they escalates him to friend status so he get a pass. 5/10
Great tearjerker drama overall. The only thing I dont like is how there is no remorse shown in her cheating. Like just because u found ur fated partner doesn't mean it is a ticket for u to cheat. so that is why I wont give this more than 7.5/10
I already knew the culprit after 1st quarter. Did not expect some of the plot reveals. That is a good thing. But ... the pace can be a bit slow and the main character didn't really have the charm of detective much. 6/10
The mom is still crazy and Kahoko still mostly relies on her mother without she realises it. It just same from the drama. Not really a growth in character. But still watchable. lol. 6/10
LMAO. watching this I was thinking. Did I have watched this already? turns out most of it is just a flashback of season 3. This is just a way for them to fiill up the gap in season 3. But I was confused between season 3 flashback and the real story of this SP. 4.5/10
Wow, REALLY different from Senpai, this Can’t be Love!! I’m surprised this was put on Japanese tv. Very curious…
This is late night drama. aired during 12am/1am slot. Drama in this slot tend to be more risque in production because most Japanese kids and household sleep before 11pm anyway. They can have topless scene/profanity/gore shown on TV during this slot. Midnight slot is also the slot where production company can produce more unconventional plot drama and one of them is BL. The only BL I know aired before 12am but after 11pm is Ossan Love. So BL is never aired during prime time. When I was traveling in Japan, i was shocked too on what kind of drama/movie they aired after 12am on TV. Also collab with streaming platform also offer them more freedom
The drama starts with interesting plot. Then when zaizen comes with survival game plot ... it just turns into yet another survival game. The drama lack a good villain and toward the end it turns somewhat generic. also 90% of the characters are just useless. 6/10
A slice of life drama about 17 y.o part timing in OBGyne clinic. She witness a lot of thing about pregnancy such as abortion, abuse, birth and death. At first I didn't like the MC cuz she looks clumsy, easily distracted and act weird sometimes. But as the eps go by and we learn more about her life, I start to like her. This drama can be a bit slow and boring at a time but my biggest complaint is the timeline. Sometimes they switch to flashback but we didnt get the feeling it is a flashback. Still a great drama. 7/10
This is basically a group of foreign investor leading by Japanese going against Japanese Business monsters with old school thinking. The pace can be a bit slow and boring but the business plot is actually really good. 7/10
Okay. For a psychological thriller killer drama, leaving aside what is justice what is not, the plot is actually really good. However, the execution of the entire drama leaves something to be desired. Like instead of using the fake blood and fake flesh cutting, they went with a total low quality CGI for all those thing. Everything looks very bad and amateurish. And plot execution definitely can be more tight. Still I kinda enjoy this weird drama. 6/10
Japanese long runs drama (drama which is renewed every year) usually is trapped with repeating the same thing over and over again by switching the villains. It very fit Japanese culture "If thing is not broken, why fix it". Some people enjoy watching same plot over and over again. Some people like me might enjoyed 1st time, will be ok for 2nd time and gonna be bored by 3rd time. I remember liking 2nd season less than 1st season. So going in season 3, I was not expecting it to be much different. Well I was half right, half wrong. Superintendent annoying characteristic is still going strong and I keep hoping someday his antics will have some repercussion but it never happen. And they still continue his usual banter with Torami senpai loveless life. Some thing will never change in this kind of drama and this is their signature. The cases are like usual. Not too bad, not too good. Some have good twist. Some are predictable. So it is still enjoyable. But I must say, I found this season better than season 2 because they are featuring the character Bunpei a lot more then other supporting character this season. Bunpei was introduced in season 2 but he was not featured as much as other supporting cast. I thought his character is very funny and in season 3, they really utilized his character a lot and I was laughing the whole time. Bunpei is basically one of the main reason why this season doesnt feel as generic as season 2. 6.5/10
I understand that Japanese romance is dry but this is too dried for a drama that the main plot is romance. And the direction ..... whey everyone so stiff particularly ML and FL. and WTF is the ending? I like nothing about this. Truly one of the worst. 2/10
The female lead is very unlikable. She is very painful to watch. She is trying to escape her ordinary love life by having romance with teenager who is not mentally matured. She felt that her ordinary life is boring. She never properly communicate with her boyfriend too. There is no remorse from her part and her indecisiveness make it worst. TBH, her ending was meh. The kid ending ... i dont really care. At least her bf got better ending. 4/10
Okay this is actually really good. This is when Japanese dry romance makes sense. I like the family relationship shown in this drama. Both 1st half and 2nd half of the drama are good on its own way. my only complaint is that despite portraying her character really well, age wise I dont think Ayase Haruka fits the character age. I think actress who is in her late 30s or early 40s at the time will make it more believable. That is my only complaint. 8/10
Okay, I was confused with the plot in ep1. I dunno how each characters are related to each other. But I decided to continue and after3 eps, it all make sense. The suspense and dark undertone was good. And twist at the end, didn't expect that. But I do wish the suspense is a big bigger. And This drama pace is quite slow and the ending is a bit rush. I wish the concludes this more proper. 6.5/10
This drama is short and simple yet it is really interesting. There is a lot of tense, suspense and regret. It is a bit slow and moody and might not be for everyone but overall I enjoy the drama a lot. I didn't expect the twist. 7.5/10
I have mixed feeling wanting to watch this drama few years back. I like mystery drama and the premise seems good but then im not keen with idol/ex-idol as lead cause most of the time their acting are less then desire. And I never like Watanabe Mayu acting. But when i saw Furritsu had subbed this (thanks Furritsu), I decided to give it a go. But that 4 years waiting to watch this is just a disappointment. If I can sum up this drama in 2 words, it will be generic average.
This drama is using same trope that is already been done in a lot of other dramas before:- 1 - Childhood crush bounds by red thread 2 - Obsessive and manipulative characters 3 - NTR 4 - Damsel in distress lead
and it was subpar. The mystery too was subpar and you can already deducted the truth halfway through. Japanese mystery drama have going downhill since 2010. They just rehashing old trope and tweak the mystery a little bit. Sometimes, it makes you lose hope that they can going back to their glory days of the 90s/early 00s but then again, there is Saiai. So the hope is still there ... maybe. overall im giving this 5/10
