Production team deserves all the respect for pulling this off and the actors too!! They made the impossible possible…
For real. They probably got zero sleep in order to edit and reshoot some of the scenes in order for this week's episodes to air. It's not perfect, but they weren't given a lot of time.

The issue I am having is that in the Chinese version, the FL was one of the top players on the server, but in…
I prefer the Chinese version, too, but I don't think the Japanese version portrays her as being weaker. Admittedly, I've only watched three episodes so far, but in both versions she was ranked among the top 10 players on her sever (She's ranked 6th in the Japanese version, so I don't know why you think she has a low ranking.), and in the Japanese version we see her standing up for another girl being sexually harassed, which is pretty strong to me.

Title How to Be Thirty Spoiler
Really like the character of the FL, she's cute and daring... but up till now the ML is rather unlikeable...
I think they are either setting him up to already have a girlfriend or they are trying to mislead us (and the LF) into thinking he has one. When he had her on speaker phone, there was a woman in his car, but that could have also been his female coworker who he didn't want knowing his personal connection with FL. Hard to say, but I'm definitely more interested in the director right now.

The beginning of episode 15 was hard to watch. I'm a fan of Song Ah's character, and while I understand the logic of why she ended the relationship, I'm not a fan of the fact that the writers had her come back to South Korea two years early. If the writers were going to make her someone who put work first, then she should have stayed in Europe the remaining three years after the breakup, and either the couple reconciled because he got a job in Europe or after she completed her five years and returned to South Korea.

The situation they have set up makes her character seem wishy-washy when she has been a fairly consistent throughout the other episodes. Personally, I would have preferred if they had gone long distance, and then rather than breaking up with him because she was being unfair, she chose to return to South Korea to be with him because she got to where she wanted to be professionally after two-three years and realized being away from him for another two years wasn't worth it.

I really need this trend of having leading couples breakup before a time-skip in the last 2-4 episodes of a series to die. Overall, it's just a really bad trope that has yet to be successfully executed.

If the ex is with sigma group then why didn't she report and catch them earlier while she gave treatment. She…
She wants the key, which he didn't have on him. She needed to let him leave so he could get the key, and she was hoping he would have it on him when they caught him at the party. That's the way I interpreted it, at least.

Have you seen the Chinese movie version? I think it's my favorite of the three so far. The game CGI is great,…
It really is a pity this Japanese version didn't have a bigger budget to back up the character development. I'd kind of like to see what would happen if they made a Korean version.

Basically, ever since Song Ah decided to be in relationship with Hyun Seung after breaking up, I already don't…
She was definitely in potential rebound territory, but she was aware of that fact, which is why she initially rejected him. Also, it's hard to say for certain since the passage of time isn't clearly noted, but it appears as though months, rather than days/weeks, passed between when she dumped her ex and when she started dating Hyun Seung. Additionally, I will say--from personal experience--it's also A LOT easier to get over your ex when he's a cheating asshole. Given all of those factors, it is entirely possible she wasn't just trying to fill the void her ex left and was actually ready for a new relationship.

I'm only on episode 3 and I'm kinda disappointed with the game elements but I think I like the relationship dynamics…
Have you seen the Chinese movie version? I think it's my favorite of the three so far. The game CGI is great, and I think they did a better job humanizing the leading characters than the Chinese drama, despite having significantly less time to do it in.

exactly... when i read the comments before watching the drama i though she broke up with him just for the job…
Exactly!

I also agree that it's likely that she broke up with him to "set him free," so to speak. If that's the case, I wonder how the Song Ah haters are going to spin it. haha

Honestly, even if she had broken up with him because of the job, I wouldn't have taken issue with it. I think a lot of people are so invested in HS--he is a gem and I adore him, too--that they forget that the couple had only been dating a month or so before she got the job offer. Because they have a longer history as coworkers, it makes sense for them to try long-distance, but had they met and dated all in the span of two months, breaking up before she moved to Europe would have been the logical/realistic choice.

Everyone on here acting like they would reject their dream job because of some guy that they have been dating for barely a few months. Pfft!

To everyone being all, "She doesn't love him enough/as much as he loves her." Well, duh! He has been secretly in love with her for years, but she has only been romantically interested in him for a few months. Of course his feelings are going to be stronger. Of course he's going to want to jump through more hoops for her because he's been investing emotionally in her for a lot longer. It sucks, but the fault here isn't in SA or HS.

It's timing.

They didn't fall for each other at the same time, so he's miles ahead of her in the relationship, waiting for her to catch up. Unfortunately, she can only make decisions based on where she is currently at emotionally, and where she is at is not a place where she can give up an amazing career opportunity for a man, no matter how perfect he may be. Trying to make long-distance work is the logical next step. The likelihood of it working out is slim, especially since they haven't been dating long, but the lack of a strong foundation is exactly why it makes sense for her to put her career first in this situation and compromise by trying long distance.

Ugh, I was really hoping this drama wouldn't follow the trend of having a breakup time-skip right before the last two episodes, but here we are.

Isn't 5 years is huge time to maintain and keep long distance relationship .
Maybe I'm extremely practical, but I don't take issue with something like that. The only person guaranteed to be around for the rest of my life is myself, whereas relationships come and go whether I want them to or not. And for that reason, I don't fault my partner choosing his career over me.

first five minutes and I'm already cringing at the absolutely awful video game effects. Still, I usually like…
I'm more put off by the costumes. Japan is the epicenter of cosplay, and the fact that these are the best costumes they could put together just makes me sad. I'm guessing this drama had a really, really low budget.

5 years!!! long distance!!! I don't think it works ....maybe only IN Kdramas
Haha. I said in another comment that if they do the long-distance thing, it probably won't be for the full five years. That's how long the project is projected to take, but it could wrap up early, she could decide to return to SK early, or he could join her in Europe after a year or two.

Five years is definitely a long time, but he has the luxury of coming from a wealthy family, and being able to afford the travel to Europe several times a year will certainly increase their chances. Haha.

That said, I don't think we're going to have a five year time skip. I'm kind of wondering if she will decide Europe isn't for her and come back after two years or something. Or maybe he will end up joining the European team at some point.

I was thinking the husband/doctor was bi, but after episode 13, it's looking more like he's gay and in denial about it.

Still loving the Director, and I can't wait until he finds out ML is his girlfriend's brother.

Looks like our leading couple is going to try and do long distance. I really hope that the the writers don't break them up and do a time skip, which happens far too often in K-dramas. I'd actually like them to see them portray a successful long distance relationship, and I think this couple communicates well enough that it would be believable if they stayed together somehow.

My heart really breaks for Yun Seung! Her scenes were especially heartbreaking in today’s episode- only her…
Her siblings picked up on the fact that something was bothering her, but when they asked, she said she was fine. They didn't press the issue because she was already channeling her pain into anger and they sensed she didn't want to talk about what was bothering her, which is also why they didn't follow her.
