Actually they plan to do that at first, take a break a week and change the characters into fictional. but all…
Ahhh, ok. I didn't realize that they had already planned to do that before the loss of of sponsorships. Seems like a massive waste for the sponsors/location to not even let them attempt to fix it first.
Ok, I can kind of understand being upset that a drama would make positive historical figures bad and being concerned that foreign audiences would get the wrong idea about historical figures, but if that's the biggest issue with the drama...
Why not change the names to fictional ones, go back and dub over the names in the dialogue, and rebrand the whole thing a work of fiction/fantasy to appease the public and investors? Add a disclaimer at the beginning of each episode of good measure, too.
If River Where the Moon Rises can recast and reshoot hours of footage because of a single actor, I feel like dubbing over the names with some new voice acting would be a simple solution to most people's concerns...unless there is something more that I'm missing.
I feel like he likes her as we can see how he gets jealous when she is around Vincenzo or at his place, also remember…
I'll have to go back and watch but I think I vaguely remember something like that. If he did suggest that, I wonder what his motive was? Did he want her far removed so she was less likely to find out who he was and reject him? Was it a ploy to see how faithful she was to the law firm? His interest in Cha Young is one of the things I hope they expand more on.
I think Jang Jun Woo (chaotic evil) makes a great villain and foil for Vincenzo (lawful evil). I personally like…
I think on some level she knows the truth and is choosing to believe his lie, which will allow her to gradually come to terms with the truth rather than be shocked when it all comes out. Plus, she also seems to get a thrill out of the fact that he was former mafia. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up being completely cool with his past. haha.
I think vincenzo figured it out who the real Babo is, by calling the number... we might have missed it (not shown…
Honestly, I think Vincenzo had his suspicions that Jun Woo was Babo loooong before the end of episode 10. There have been several scenes where camera angles/zooms have made it seem like Vincenzo picked up on the fact that the lawyers were subtly deferring to Jun Woo on decisions, which wouldn't make sense since he is supposed to answer to them given the hierarchy of the law firm. For example, at the beginning of episode 8, when Lawyer Myung Hee and Jun Woo are meeting with Vincenzo and Cha Young, Myung Hee get's mad and says that Vincenzo and Cha Young can file their lawsuit, but Jun Woo stops her and says he doesn't think the chairman would want that. Vincenzo, who'd had his back to them, turned around at that moment to look at Jun Woo.
I think Vincenzo figured out Babo's identity for certain when Jun Woo called Cha Young to meet him. Vincenzo already suspected that he would be attacked that night, so when Jun Woo called, it confirmed that Jun Woo was aware of the impending attack and was pulling Cha Young away so she would be safe. He then called the boxer to have him go with Cha Young as protection because he figured out from the apartment invasion attack that the boxer can actually fight.
We need a stronger and smarter villain who is up to par with Vincenzo than the psychotic Jang Jun Woo.
I think Jang Jun Woo (chaotic evil) makes a great villain and foil for Vincenzo (lawful evil). I personally like the dichotomy of watching Vincenzo, who still has a system of principals he lives by, going up against someone who ruthlessly plows ahead, killing and eliminating anyone in his way. While Vincenzo has outwitted his foe and won most of the battles, which seemingly makes Jun Woo appear weaker, we're also seeing Vincenzo gradually becoming more and more like the "monster" of his past, which he has been fighting to leave behind, with each face-off. So even while he has been "winning," there is a pattern of escalation on both sides that makes you wonder what price Vincenzo will have to pay to finally win the war.
I feel like he likes her as we can see how he gets jealous when she is around Vincenzo or at his place, also remember…
Jun Woo didn't order the hit on her dad; it was Myung Hee, the older female lawyer. I got the impression she was working alone on that one, but on the other hand, Jun Woo didn't seem upset at her for doing it either. Maybe in some twisted way Jun Woo thought that HCY would turn to him for comfort or at least be more solidly on his team of lawyers without her father to try and influence her?
I don't know...Don't forget that the series began with him watching the building being blown up and everything…
I like the idea of him getting pardoned, but I very much believe he is going to kill Jun Woo, unless the half brother does it before Vincenzo. If Vincenzo kills someone, and we know he's ruthless and pissed off enough to do it, he won't be able to get a pardon for murder. So, I see this ending with him faking his death and running off with the gold. But who knows, that government agent is low-key crushing on Vincenzo, so he may be able to lie or pull some strings to get Vincenzo out of trouble.
This Drama honestly gives me vibes of the ML being killed in the end. Especially if you don't consider all the…
I don't know...Don't forget that the series began with him watching the building being blown up and everything else that has happened has supposedly occurred before that moment. Given his demeanor in that scene, I think he got the gold out of the building before it collapsed, and I don't think he will get the gold out of the building until after Jun Woo has been defeated. Although, it could be possible that his adoptive brother from Italy shows up at the end to kill him, but even so I think he will fake his death and go into hiding with the gold.
I absolutely love this show! I wonder if there is any chance that Hanseo and Vincenzo would actually have the…
Sorry, but this theory doesn't check out because...
One: Vincenzo's mother was never the mistress of the Babel CEO. She was the maid for the deceased chairman of the bank that Babel tried to get a loan from (a.k.a. the gay guy's dead dad).
Two: She wasn't the bank chairman's mistress either. He sexually assaulted her (touched her but no rape) and she pushed him away, which caused him to fall down the stairs and eventually die. During the trial she was accused of being the bank chairman's mistress to cover up the fact he was a rapist and an asshole.
1. Hong Joo is a major character, at first she lures the girl telling her father is injured ?? Who is her father…
Is it confirmed that Hong Joo is the girl at the beginning of the episode? As I watched episode 1, I thought that the little girl was the kidnapped/missing daughter of the policeman who had been tracking the Headhunter. The newspaper article revealed that the daughter's body was found several years later after she'd died, so I was assuming he killed the daughter after she witnessed him kill the woman. She calls out for her dad as the woman is being murdered, but due to the subtitles I read, I'm not sure if she was calling the killer her dad or if she was calling out for her real father.
I am so confused and reading some reviews from here helps me a little. Some doubts that I have not read if you…

Isn't the younger cop you're referring to also the one who "accidentally" used the instant coffee that was evidence? If so, it may not have been an accident then.
I think there was a scene early on in her marriage where she said something about not wanting to get pregnant,…
That's what I thought, but since being the favorite would naturally progress to sex, I wasn't sure how that would work out. I imagine if she gets pregnant in a future episode the stepmother will try to cause an abortion.
While the latest scenes were cute and funny, I am getting a bit irritated. Idk what is going on with Shiyi but…
I think there was a scene early on in her marriage where she said something about not wanting to get pregnant, probably to avoid producing an heir that would compete with her dead sister's son that she's supposed to be protecting. More recently, though, her stepmother seemed to be pushing her to sleep with her husband to secure her spot among the wives, so I'm not sure what's going on unless the stepmother would encourage her to abort if she got pregnant.
