Hey Tine-Chan, good to see you again! Thanks for telling us your background story!
My story is pretty similar except everything happened in a different timespan. I discovered the internet, found shoujo anime and from there discovered all genres of anime. Started reading manga, manwha and later on manhua (wuxia stories). I did randomly encounter 1 kdrama but it was a low-quality video on Youtube. Then on one very fateful day in 2019 on an anime site I noticed a shounen-ai (BL) tag on a donghua. This is pretty rare so my curiosity got the better of me and I watched MDZS. I didn't understand it so checked out the manhua and I began to understand. After the MDZS anime was over I wanted more (the next season was gonna take a while) so I watched The Untamed drama.
This is where everything changed. It became an obsession and I watched Guardian, Yanxi Palace and Coffee prince shortly after based on MDL recommendations. Due to my love for bromance I was ready to discover BL and started with Tharntype which was a pretty big step for me but I grew to love the drama. Now I watch cdrama, tdrama, kdrama, jdrama and lakorns.
I give you credit there, it could happen in S2 but if we look at Bright and Win.. Bright seems apprehensive about his BL-role and it seems like he would much rather do straight roles. They've said things like that they kept acting after the camera went off but do you honestly see them doing that? Because from what I've seen Bright would not just let that happen. Yeah they kissed in public for fans but that's just easy advertising and not actually part of their acting-job but just marketing.
I could be wrong but without some extensive skinship workshops I don't see these guys ever hugging comfortably or even kissing normally like a couple would. Only time can tell though, right?
I get it you’re a Tharntype fan, i can smell the bitterness
I'll be sure to keep in mind to do my daily sacrifice to my favorite companies. Seriously though, they're not perfect and will make mistakes. Nothing wrong with acknowledging that. My Engineer is good though, have fun!

I've never been one to feel the need to personally respect companies. I'm grateful for the series they bring out but they should expect to be called out on mistakes like anyone else.
I do like your consistent positive outlook. I love BrightWin too despite everything that happened. If you wanna love 2gether then that's fine. But do you understand that this ending is a slap in the face for many people who expected to see some representation of a gay couple? All people wanted to see was a couple loving each other. A highfive would've been fine if they did actually show something like a hug in their home afterwards.
Okay I like positive people! It's just that there are issues in the BL-community that are being addressed right now. Just like when they tried to do straight romance in The Untamed, we need to show when we disagree with certain things in BL-shows. If we don't, no one will. People are not happy with the highfive-ending and they just want to express that.
Don't know what happened but sending love regardless! Many people still love the show and that's okay. However, the criticism that has been given by the BL-community takes priority in this case considering that 2gether might set a standard for future Thai BL. Remember how far SOTUS brought us in 2016? This show feels like its regressing back in terms of showing love, especially in comparison to other shows from this year. We've always been a community that has had to give active feedback to get what we want. Remember The Untamed? BL-fans had to cause outrage to have the straight romance removed from the show. We are just doing this to make sure people know we don't approve of highfive-endings.

There's rarely been any infighting between BL-fandoms because we are one community together. You'll understand if you are around in the BL-community longer. We need to stand together to address issues and save our shows.
I appreciate the good things 2gether did with their mainstream exposure but we can't let the producers get away with that lackluster final episode. If you love 2gether that's fine, the BL-community is reacting this way to make sure we don't get stuck with highfive-BL's in the future.
The scary part about the new normal, is that now more and more those "pay-for-gay" actors seeking to get super…
Well.. my standard for acting is already pretty low so that's not a big thing for me. But yeah BL is definitely going to be used by more new actors to get themselves popular and eventually into mainstream media. Now that 2gether proved how easy it is to get away with no intimacy as long as you have a cute face there'll be more cases. I refer to this development as the highfive-BL era.
In my humblest opinion, I do think this series got popular due to the two lead's good looks. It's all people talked…
Definitely true, their looks attract mainstream attention and there were probably even a lot of non-BL fans watching. I respect 2gether for the attention it got for the BL-community but its lackluster ending is worrisome.

What if we highfive in public? Haha just kidding.. unless...? ?
