That yellow car at the end was me, resetting to save the bromance. I loved the romance in this series though but I'm crying about the detective. The end-scene was cute but I could see the tears in the detectives eyes since they have to start from being strangers again and he just recently saw her die. I wish Ga Hyun could've been the one to survive to be honest since she's been the most mentally stable one.
Initially we had this theory in the discussions that the mirror reflections foretold who was gonna reset. Well it used to be Ga Hyun and Lee Shin getting the multiple reflections but finally it was the detective in this episode so it was cool to see that reflect his new fate to reset.
Coffee-dude being this evil didn't suprise me to be honest but it was interesting to see how far involved he was. Glad the daughter of Lee Shin got to live through 11:11 this time. The mysterious box just held another card but yeah that death-card would trigger me too at that point.
Sun Ho.. Well what can I say? There was hope for him left but we got backstabbed again (as I worried about in my previous comment). I just didn't think he would LITERALLY backstab the characters. RIP sweet bromance.
So now that BL is banned China is mimicking Korean crossdress dramas? Edit: I regret posting such a short comment now. I didn't mean to say that China copied the entire crossdress genre from Korea. I just saw the synopsis and immediately thought of the kdrama Sungkyunkwan Scandal. Anyway, sorry about the misunderstanding.
i'm telling you, there's something fishy about this dog :D i still think about that scene when Maru recognised…
You missed your calling as best endings-writer. Thank you for giving me such joy in reading about a good ending for everyone. I know it won't happen but in some alternate universe somewhere they will probably be blessed with this ending. Saving both the bromance and the romance with no perma-deaths. That would be amazing and yes my favourite reset-candidate is also Ga Hyun.
If we actually live in the specific timeline where this actually happens then I'll be very happy. I know it's unlikely though but I hope they do give us a nice end.
Basically now that I've watched the English sub I'm wondering about a few things.
-Will Sun Ho backstab us bromance-lovers one last time? I like to believe he won't since he now knows the detective saved him now. In my heart I knew there was still love for his partner present. I know he likes the whole ''fate-killing'' but he definitely still has some major problems with killing his bro. I know I said the bromance died for me this episode but I believe a revival is possible. He has to save the detective in some way as his last big act. If Sun Ho backstabs me next episode I'm going to be so dissappointed.
-What is going to happen before the next reset? Lee Shin warned the detective about something major that happens right before the reset. The detective is clearly aiming to prevent the reset but I think he will find that difficult to accomplish. Likely the major event is another death and Sun Ho will probably also be present around that time considering coffee-dudes plans.
-Will our leftover resetters reset again and who will live to do it? I have Ga Hyun as my number 1 resetter and the detective in second place. I kinda doubt two of them will reset since I do expect some casualties but it's possible if they are extremely lucky. Although another good ending at this point is the two main leads surviving after stopping everyone and never resetting again.
-Can coffee-dude just chill? I mean we all knew he was suspicious and that he was the professor. I think he's a delusional ''philosopher'' who just kinda likes to play with peoples lives. His cafe is named 36,5 degrees Celsius which is slightly below human body temperature. Mayby its a reference to a newly died person when their temperature drops? Likely it's just the 365 days reference in a year though. I hope for Lee Shin that he isn't playing a cruel joke on her since he might be one of those believers of unchangeable fate (no saved daughter in his plans).
-Whats in the box? Whats in the box guys? They reacted so fast to seeing it that I truly wonder. An invitation to the next reset perhaps? The date of their deaths? I don't know what else he would want to give them.
I was ready to fight for the detective at the start of this newest episode, he's suffered enough. Seeing him cry made me tear up as well. Ga Hyun and Hyung Joo have become such a good couple though and I loved their interactions.
This episode marked the official end of the bromance for me. Sun Ho bugged Ga Hyuns room but luckily our couple outsmarted him. The power-moves of this episode were all from the detective. Like walking by Sun Ho without exchanging a look and just casually opening his secret room. My theory of Sun Ho just being a serial killer for fun was correct but my theory that he still had some empathy for the detective was luckily also correct. When Sun Ho shot him in defense I thought this was gonna be the end of the detective (since I do still think that if someones gonna die, it's gotta be the detective). Luckily it wasn't his time yet but that moment also proved that Sun Ho still cared for his partner although not in the correct way.
The coffee-dude turned out to be the professor to absolutely no ones suprise. I loved how our Ga Hyun got the evidence to free the detective and fixed everything. I knew the moment when the bus was in view that Sun Ho was gonna be a problem again. Who knows what will happen next episode? I'm worried for the detective but also trust the show to do things right at this point, even if it's different from our expectations. I was slightly interested in the amount of Maru the dog shots we got in this episode considering the dog is such a background-character normally.
Full series with multi Sub: https://koreandrama.es/watch-multi-sub-365-repeat-the-year/episode-21-22-sv1.htmlCan't…
Thanks!! The site I use always posts episodes way too late and I like watching the episodes in Korean first and afterwards with English subs. Unfortunate that it's one of those videoplayers where you can't rewind/skip without moving back to the beginning.
It's time travel but it's done in a pretty interesting way (to say the least). Check out the first episode and decide based on that, there isn't any fantasy/sci fi besides the time travel method.
This went from: Cute switch between two unlikely people makes them grow closer together in ancient China. Love is in the air.
To plottwist: Sike, it was all an illusion. You developped feelings? That's called weakness honey and it doesn't belong on the battlefield. There can only be one winner in the matrix-game. GG no re.
To ending: I've made a huge mistake. Those dreams were too realistic after all and these feelings might be real. Can anyone truly win the matrix love-game? Is this still a dream? Do I want to be in a dream? Who is really real? What reality is real? Am I real?
Existential dread is an understatement but I'm sure they'll be kept together in a neverending cycle. I did have my suspicions with the lack of background-information the female lead had but this was some heavy stuff. Anyway, for those angry about the ending. Just look at it like this: The two spirit-deity people who liked to mess with them clearly saw potential. They'll probably end up together in any reality.
I hope we all learned some lessons from this drama. 1. Don't try to invade your worst enemies dreams with zero memories. 2. Don't try to ''reverse UNO'' your worst enemy by invading your own dreams. 3. Feed your worst enemy good food in his dreams, that'll do more than any flirting. 4. Don't trust old spirit-men and bird-ladies. 5. Never stop assuming you're not just part of a novel/comic-story in some dimension.
Yeah I don't think this is getting a season 2. I understand the opinions about the abrupt shift in tone of the last episodes but I don't share the opinion.
I loved the first part of the drama (the synopsis) and I was kinda thinking what more they needed to explain in the last episodes but then the plottwists came. Let me tell you, you are not mentally ready when it happens. I'll keep it vague so there's no spoilers.
At first I was torn in deciding which main lead pulled the bigger power-move but then things got even more confusing with 2 spirit-like beings who seemed to be using them. I personally love a drama that allows me some freedom to make up my own theories. My theory: The main couple just really angered/interested those 2 spirit-like beings and are in a perpetual cycle of emotional torture throughout lifetimes/dimensions to prove their love. Anyway, none of this is confirmed in the series but it's just something I thought of. This series becomes 10x more complicated within 1 episode.
I started reading this with hopes but now I'm wondering if we're all in an inescapable cult. Nah but for real though, kdramas give me life and I love it. I think converting people to Asian dramas is extremely difficult but anime-watchers may be a little bit more open to it. I myself got into dramas through anime without outside influence.
all of yous reactions are tempting me to watch this...
Most of this comment section is either discussing spoilers, shocked reactions about the big reveal, romance-seekers and those who just love the show. But yeah go watch it, the first episode immediately hooked me on the drama.
You have a good point about GH's evolution and I agree totally about how it would be more painful for HJ to keep…
Yeah i don't know about Maru, all I know is that it's an adorable dog. Although I remember getting annoyed at Maru a lot when GH had to chase the dog and risk her life. All is forgiven now though.
Also, there is no driver. It was an automated car with no one at the wheel. I'm still holding out hope for a somewhat happy end.
There is absolutely no problem with gay kissing. To me it just feels like the producers were relying on those…
Yes the story did suffer from the large amount of BL-scenes in later episodes but I don't think them choosing BL-scenes over story has to be bad. They weren't gonna be able to cover all the side-stories properly anyway so they might as well just do 1 thing really well. Why R U did something new with their artistic way of filming BL-scenes and built on the foundation that Tharntype created. Sure I wouldn't want every BL to do the same thing but since this is the first time we've seen something like this I think we should appreciate it for what it did right and move on. Comparing it to p*rn seems a bit insulting for the amount of work that went into the story of the main couples.
Well, the journey is over. I'd like to thank all the skincare and toothpaste ad-cameos for getting us here.
Did the show finish every storyline? Not at all, this show is a mess but I love it regardless. Those small BL-moments became more like small BL-movies at the end but it was art and I appreciate them for trying to capture their artistic vision. Fighter and Tutor honestly have such a unique couple-dynamic and I love them together. Zon and Saifah are complicated because their story was kinda cut short but I love them too. I ended up just thinking of my own stories for Zon and Saifah due to the shortage of followups.
BL-fan me watching Zon and Saifah: ''They're so happy and cute together!''
Conspiracy me watching Zon and Saifah: ''That single tear represented the last of Zons resistance to Zols influence. The Zon we knew is now completely gone.''
Anyway, it's been fun. I'm sure Zol is off creating chaos elsewhere.
Some side-notes: I'm so proud that necklace has now joined the BL-items list among the icecubes, pink milk and guitar picks. Though why did the show feel the need to remind me of Japan and the weird cat-scene? I may never know and am already denying the existence of that scene again.
Yes it crushs my heart when HJ knew the truth but at least it was GH who told him I really was scared that SH…
Haven't watched it yet but I believe you did a recommendation of the Guest. I love detective stories as too but only with interesting characters and either comedy/mystery. Bromance and Sismance are both cool to see as well. I'll be back when the next episode has been uploaded with subs!
