Nah.. I’d bet all my umbrellas and my fishing net that’s not gonna happen. Kiho has to be either one of them…
Oh! you CERTAINLY can say that lol. I have seen it over the years about 20 times, and I own lots of cast recordings from various countries. ...and I read the book.
The 12-episode format is better to me (unless the drama is really, really good and you want it to last forever).…
I agree that it would be nice to have what is needed. And I don't mind that there is no set number of episodes or length. But, what is happening is that the overwhelming majority of seasons are short. That is not bad per se if the story actually end. But, what happens is that in the majority of cases the end is a set up for a new season, and THAT is the problem. They basically don't give you a complete story. You have to wait for years just to have one series. And I am not even getting in the cancellation that is hanging like Sword of Domecles. At any minute the series could be cancelled and all your time is just gone. Personally, I had enough of that, and I can't take it anymore, that is why I no longer watch American TV unless I am super interested in something. I pretty much stopped watching ANY series that I don't know when it will end. And, i am boycotting subsequent seasons of the shows that meant to be only one, but they get milked. Like Squid Games for example.
I find Kdrama contained one season format perfect, and I hope this is maintained as long as possible.

That was the old model. Nowdays streaming services dominate the scene, and their seasons are short. Britain has much more acceptable model. Majority of time they just end it quickly.
the first episode felt like a movie and was perfect the second one was a little bit ??? but i still have expectations
True, if they added maybe another 15 mins with a different end. For example, they reach Seoul, and they meet the manager. He takes them to a restaurant for all 4 to have a dinner, and we end there with an open and hopeful end. I think it would have been a good movie.
Very predictable, and quite unrealistic. You can figure out exactly what happened early on, and seriously after…
Once you watch lots of TV, I think 90% of the entire world drama is predictable and just variations of the same stories. True originality is VERY rare. That said, originality is not a guarantee for quality. Execution matters much more.
But, it is fair , and absolutely fine if you didn't like any elements. I am just commenting on the predictabilty.

I am in two minds. In principle 12 x60-70min is enough for the overwhelming majority of dramas. There were some dramas that justfied their 16 episodes or more, but the majority dragged by various degrees. However, my BIG worry is that Kdrama is slowly sliding towards the American model of short , but multiple seasons. I hope this will not happen, or at least not to every channel.

I don't understand their strategy. One of the reason a smash hit is created is the community buzz of mass viewing. To achieve that you need to make it available to very wide audience. That was one of the reasons why Squid Game became such global success (of course it need to be something good). It was avialble at once to the whole world.
What's being immoral of two brothers helping a woman? So far there's no romance tag in this drama. And if they…
I don't want to teach you anything. You are the one who accused an entire country to be immoral. (btw I am not Korean). Anyway. I am off this conversation, and will not respond no matter what you say. Have a good day.

The point is even if they both love her. There is nothing immoral about it. It is actuallly very common (all over the world by the way) for two close men/women to fall for the same woman/man. People live in proximity and they meet someone very attractive. It is very easy for both to fall for that person. There is nothing immoral about it.
Immoral would be if say one brother killed or caused a major harm for the other.
By the way. Loving someone and having relationship with that person are two DIFFERENT things.
well... iPhones were created in 2007 and she lived in a small island, in a lot of countries smartphone were not…
I think the more important point is that these were very expensive items even if they existed. Ordinary poor high school children didn't have them. The location matters a LOT. There is always big disparties between the capital and small places. Even today some people have never had a smartphone. Also knowing something existed and seeing it for the first time in your life after being away for 15 years is also different. All these factors make her reaction to the smarphone actually very believable.
I am more like @Heracin: I find it more difficult to believe that she wasn't found in 15 years, yet she had so much stuff. But, even that it is not a huge deal. It is within the limit of suspension of disbelief, and not something that would ruin it. (for me at least)
Wait why I didn't see this in the top airing list?
My guess is that Amazon Prime is not as globally available as Netflix (Prime is an additional Amazon service that you have to pay for). Also, I don't think it was avialble in all territories. Amazon also didn't promote it. As a consequence, much less people are aware of it. There are almost no reviews in English for it on YouTube despite the high ratings and the very good reception by those who watched it.
I seem to be in minority who is not that bothered who will turn up to be Ki-Ho. I am curious for sure, but it is not my main focus or biggest anticipated line. I am looking forward much more to the reintegration of Mok-ha into society and how her relationship will develop with Yoon Ran Joo.
E2 had so much emotions! The tickets lady handing 2 tickets after hearing the story made me chuckle and touched at the same time. Very strong first weekend.
NO Spoilers please. Does the story wrap up? I don't care if it is happy or sad. All I need to know wheter the story has an end, or do I have to wait for another season. Thank you.

I am much more interested in Mok ha- Ran Joon storyline and dynamics.
Is it really Park Eun-Bin?
