You know she has acted with a lot of male actors other than Xu Kai and Zhang LingHe. According to your logic, she should have love scandal with Allen Ren, Zhan Ruo Yun, Joseph Zheng, Ao RuiPeng, Ou Hao and etc. But that is not the case, so far love scandal is only with Xu Kai and ZhangLingHe. So your logic of love affair promotion fail to hold therefore you are either just a bot or a hater or someone who couldn't think for themselve.

True. I don't actually mind it if they did it subtly or actually show proof of how they win so us viewer can be convinced. However it gets over the top when the PD suddenly changes/bend rules so the intended winner can win. Take episode 2 for example, that was really forced and take out the believability of the show. I understand that it was scripted that way because he was going be on hiatus but with all the odds against him winning the PD should have just accepted it then forced it.

It was great overall for mini drama. They were really bold and suggestive, sometime a litte cringy. However, the FL gets less likable as the serie continues especially toward the ending. She was too impulsive and self-centered.

I failed to like the FL personality. She was a hypocrite who think she is better than everyone else especially during the get together scene with her and a group of investors, then came an actress. The FL was on her high horses, belittling that actress for want to use improper mean (her relationship with an investor) to build her actress career while FL was doing the same, using the ambiguity of her relationship with that rich guy to better her career. Then she had to nerve to get mad and act like she is above the rich guy for belittling the actress which she herself also did too during their drive home. She was only angry because her tail was touched not because of the actress. She even demanded an apology from the rich guy yet she herself doesn't even felt apologetic toward the actress. Hypocrite and self-serving!

Yeah drama tend to take a lot of leeway with their adaptation but based on the original source Xiao Long Nu was 18 while Yang Guo was 14. I've seen the TVB 1995 adaptation with Louis Koo and Carman Lee where Xiao Long Nu was 18 while Yang Guo was 16 and the 2004 adaptation with Crystal Liu and Huang Xiaoming playing as 16y.o Xiao Long Nu and 10-12ish Yang Guo. Anyway, it was a combination of problem that created the lack of chemistry between the ML and FL. I think it would have worked if they have either keep FL in her fox form when she met/interacted with the young version of ML, get separated for fews years and meet again as adult or make the FL more naive and less matured.

The problem was the Master and student relationship between Yang Guo and Xiao Long Nu worked while this one doesn't bode well with other because Xiao Long Nu was portrayed as young and naive 18th years old girl when she met Yang Gou who was 14th. They basically raised each other as the age difference was only 4 years. Yang Guo has more life experience and wisdom than Xiao Long Nu who was basically trapped in the cave. Here we have Tushan Hong Hong who is too matured with decades of life experiences. Definitely raised some eye brows to be falling for a kiddo she basically raised.

She just released 3 hit dramas last year and her most recent one just aired 6 months ago. Give the girl a break. Plus she has 3 pending dramas to be aired with one scheduled for this September/Oct. Totally the opposite of not getting any new dramas. In fact, she is so busy and booked that her fans wanted her to take a break to rest.

Just like the title of this drama, it has made me cry throughout every episode especially the heart-wrenching revelation of the ultrasound..

Since this project generate a lot of noises during conception, a lot of investors flock to this project which create problems in which the story has to be alter to satisfy the investor. I heard rumor that the story was altered halfway during filming to include the addition of Yi Yang character and such. And in regards of returns, I think they did pretty ok, they were ranked 1 in many charts during the first week of airing before SOKP came out and were altering with SOKP for top spot in some chart during its broadcast period. It became Mango top viewed drama of 2023 so it did pretty solid commercially.

Haven't watched My Boss neither so I couldn't really comment on it but like you said part is due to the differences in audiences between these two drama. With this drama since both actor/actress are pretty famous, the audience are expecting more so it is under more scrutiny than drama with lesser famous actors. Many had exaggerated expectation for Only For Love of being any other than rom-com due to it rumored/advertisement as being an S+ project while the My Boss, lesser budget just came as a surprise. And in part, because of the noise Only For Love was making during inception, investors has somewhat added to the problem.

The red outfit wasn't really noticeable in the drama as it was more of a dark red velvet top and the drama pretty much didn't really emphasize it. I think the drama is leaning more toward the Chinese wedding dress. The manhua will probably draw it in a couple of chapters. Yes there was lot of subtlety in the drama that you really need read the novel to understand what they are hinting at. Their text convos are hilarious. Shu Yi is a flirt in text while in real life she cant even hold the candle.

Both are in the novel.. There is a double meaning for the red dress when Shi Yan answered that he likes her in red. First, is that during their first exchange when Shi Yan took Shu Yi to his uncle horse riding ranch for the first time, Shu Yi changed into a red horse-riding outfit which has left a big impression on him. And the second meaning is that red dress is worn in Chinese wedding, hinting that he wanted to see her in Chinese red wedding dress and marry her.

For the "making cake" scene, Shu Yi was piss off that her ex keep on texting her and asking her what she was doing. In the heat of the moment she wrote "making love" as a reply however before she hit send, Shu Yi noticed that Shi Yan saw what she wrote so due to embarrassment she changed to "making cake". However in Asian culture, making cake can also be use as innuendo for sex depending on the context lol. Pretty much anything related to cooking can be use as innuendo for sex such as cooking rice, pounding cake, and etc. Therefore you have the scene of Shi Yan ordering cake to tease Shu Yi afterward. The prior "making love" text can't be shown in the drama so they probably cut it to follow censorship rule.

yes so far so good. They did a pretty good job on also translating the text too not just the speech box.

I was fortunate to come across a novel translation a few years back did a great job translating their text messages convo so it was an easy read.

To the novel reader and those who are interested, Only For Love was recently adapted into manhua. So far just only 5 chapters has been released on Jan 17. The artwork is beautiful.

Just to get the fact straight before you lead other astray, you are confusing the screenwriter with the actual writer of the novel for both drama you mentioned are based on. That's doing a disservices to the actual writer. The novel that this drama is adapted from is Accidental Love aka Cuo Liao is written by Qiao Yao while The Legend is actually written by Jiu Lu Fei Xiang. The only common between these two adaptions is the screenwriter that you mentioned. However, the screenwriter didn't developed these characters as these are to be attributed to the actual writer. I would say, the screenwriter has followed the major plotlines from the material book with few additional characters and storyline. Could the screenwriter do more to improve the storyline? Absolutely! I disliked the addition of the character Yi Yang but that her creative choices. None of the characters in this drama nor the Legends had perfect characters so I don't know what you are talking about lol. They all had their flaws. FYI, the FML never stayed overnight with whom she was supposedly interviewed, she went home and slept after she finish writing the interview. At best you can call it overtime. And what does Yu Zheng has to do with this drama except being the Boss of Bai Lu? Yu Zheng didn't produce this drama.

You are right. The dating rumor broke out last year around September when Bai Lu was filming for Keep Running special season 10. Their dating rumor resurfaced again in September of this year when ZLH was seen wearing a similar bracelet that Bai Lu has been wearing for months prior.
