If the screenwriter hasn't add Yi Yang character, it would have stayed an 8. She got a lot of flack for hanging out with him and it started to decrease once his character show up. His character was unnecessary.

Mango only sold the broadcast right to international market, such as iQiyi, Viu and Viki meaning only Mango is exclusively allow to broadcast in China to the Chinese market. The Chinese market is their main target while the international market are just bonuses.

She believe that his niece is the girlfriend that her ex-boyfriend cheat with in order to climb the social ladder. So if she successfully pursue the ML, she will be in a higher family status than the ex in which the ex and his girlfriend has to respect her.

She find him attractive but she mainly pursue the ML because of revenge. Him being the person she needed to interview was coincidental so killing two birds in one stone.

Absolutely agree with you that respectful negative reviews should be respected and shouldn't be label as anti. I have only seen selected few to label to do so. But I think their post is more directed toward the Chinese audience homebase such as the Weibo/douban situation. With any drama, there's bound to be a mixture of fan/anti/passerby. I have seen on multiple occasions when the score was 8.3, there are comments indicating that it's undeserving and should be lower and questioning of how can people like it. What's deserving or not when it is all a matter of opinions? But really no drama deserve a rating of 1 unless it promote sexual abuse or child exploitation. When the rating actually started to drop they actually come back to gloat just so they can feel validated. That is just distasteful to me. By any mean this isn't the worst drama till date. In my opinion Here We Meet Again that aired this year was way more frustrating than this but was way less scrutinized because of lesser popular actors/actresses. Drama with lesser popular actors/actresses tend to have more leeway.

:) No problem. I like Janice Wu but her character in that drama doesn't do it for me. Her best one/most noticeable one is probably Le Coup de Foudre aka I Don't Like this World, I Only Like You that she filmed with her ex-husband.

Oh then I guessed you haven't seen Here We Meet Again that aired this year. Lmao. To me that is the most frustrating drama due to constant work-place gossips that took place 50% of the time.

Let me be honest with you, I have read the novel 2 years back before I was aware of who was going to partake in this drama. It was a cute and fast read so I wasn't expecting thought provoking drama. I will definitely stick to the drama to see how they are going to portray it. If anything, the novel was meant to be a 24 epi drama adaptation. So far they has done pretty close as they kept the majority of the story line of novel with the additions of a few characters and business talk so I would say about 80%.

I don't mind the negative reviews but the problem I have seen quite a few times with the negative reviews is how they questioned the people that actually like the drama such as how can anyone like such a brainless, plotless drama, only the fan like it and blah blah blah. Some were even making personal attack such as if you like this kind of FL then you must be such and such in real life. It just came as offensive. You might not see the plot but others do as everyone has different interpretations and their own likes/dislikes. Everyone has right to voice their own opinions including the positive and negative ones. Let's all agree to respect all.

Anyone know the song that was played in the background in epi 32 when they took the mountain road then Xie Wei got bitten by the snake? It was fitting for the scene and pretty catchy that I want to listen to the whole song.

If you enjoy the side couples romance between QSY&YY, BRS&GJ, and TY&GST and some brooding/heartbroken moments of Shi Yan and Shu Yi then you shouldn't skip it. If you only care for the main couple's romance then you can speed it up as you wont miss out much.

yep. And the scene of Shi Yan heartbroken/frustration was portrayed very well by Dylan. He was in a pickle of wanting to confront Shu Yi yet also afraid of Shu Yi's rejection therefore he was unsure of what he wanted to do. But you will get a lot of cute scenes after they make up from epi 31 and onward.

You are heading toward the angst eps from 25-30 so it can get frustrating and draggy. Just hang in there if you have enjoyed it so far. lol

Even with people that are not in relationship, I have seen that they still tease each other by call each other names such as my great aunt or my great grandfather. Especially in Cdrama.

But seriously in all the BTS I have seen so far, I noticed that the crew and actor/actress loved to tease each other and making each other laugh. Just like the scene where Bai Lu were shaking cold in between scene, the director tease Dylan to put a cup in front of BL making it seem like she were begging in which Dylan did. Should we also buy into the hate that Dylan and the crew were bullying BL? No, as it was all done in light-heartedness.

Exactly, it is like once you hate something you will try to find everything that is wrong with it and even if it is not you will still try make it wrong. Even a little speck is a sword to the eye.

They are just following the novel script because that is how it went in the novel. Don't know why everyone is upset about it and blaming the production for it? You could argue that the production team could have remove that scene but it is not that like they suddenly thought of it and add it last minute? But seriously what is so controversial about that scene??? She lost the bet and she needed help as her hand were hurt. At this point I just feel like the people are just buying/flaming into the blackmarket to cause controversial for this drama.
