I just started ep 22 and got teary. Sang Yan really did find a way to be there for Wen Yi Fan while they were in university.

I was just thinking that I will likely end up docking this drama a half or whole point because of the side characters. The side stories should fit with the lead story in some way, but lead couple has very little to do with grandpa.

Not a popular enough topic to get funding. He wants to study how to ease suffering of cancer patients while others think he should be trying to find a cure.

She stepped over the line in his personal life and it's obvious that she has feelings for him. It wouldn't be right for him to be her mentor. Anyway, if he didn't get funding, he likely won't be mentoring anyone.

Oddly, I really liked today's episodes. More emotional depth. I like light and fluffy romances, but I usually get a little bored with this drama and want to fast forward or do other things. Today was different. Maybe there was more He Su Ye and he's the more interesting character to me.

It’s a small role in The First Frost so far, but I wish they kept the same actor for Qian Fei. He’s so cute and funny in Hidden Love.

The stepsister looked about 10-12 when she threw a tantrum at dinner and wanted Yifan out of “her” house. That was still Yifan’s last year of high school.

I was thinking during that scene as they're leaving Overtime that they suddenly look more youthful and vibrant. More like how they were in highschool. Their adult selves in the earlier episodes looked a bit dull and tired despite their obvious good looks.

I mostly watch modern dramas, esp light and fluffy like this one. However, I was a little bored by today's episode. Was only saved by ZLH. I've never watched him before

But it took so many days from that scene on the couch after Yifan took over Sang Yan’s bed to the scene outside the noodle place! Thank goodnesss the director chose a time lapse.

It's actually more of a B than a P. Sounds similar depending on accent but it's Baba.

Xi Fan's parents are actually very good to her. She's the one keeping secrets, lying to them and causing misunderstandings. She can't even feed herself if she moves out since she can't cook. Her dad does all the cooking for her and even gets her medicine ready.

That female intern should mind her own business, but the kid was great at putting her in her place!

They’re good to watch at the same time. They’re so very different that you can’t get confused. The look and feel of The Best Thing is light and fluffy.
