This series is definitely an outstanding BL to me. I binged-watched it and it was a rollercoaster of emotions and life lessons, carried by remarkable acting and chemistry - from the two main leads especially - and top-notch writing.
It successfully explores themes such as being a teenager, introvertedness, being gay and coming out, growing up, loving, death etc with a realism that makes everything incredibly relatable and moving.
The only thing I could see improved would be the pacing, which was at times slow, and the camerawork - very plain at the beginning - but honestly that faded in the background of everything that is great about this series, and didn't make much of an impact as I binged watched the show instead of waiting 1 episode a week.
This series is a solid 9 out of 10 for me and Cake and Seeiw will definitely stay with me for long <3 Thanks to Santa and Earth for their wonderful job bringing these characters to life <3

Interesting, maybe I'll try to read it too then. Thanks and let's see what the show has in store for us!

Thanks for the original material! I hope they'll translate it in the years to come, my experience with Google trans and thai isn't that successful 😂
The last two episodes really highlighted how much both Jang Uk and Mudeok have grown throughout the series. They…
This comment is GOLD. Thank you for pointing out EVERYTHING THAT NEEDED TO BE SAID and saying it so well <3 I love how this drama goes beyond the superficial in depicting so many things. It's really a gem to me <3
JU figured out what was happening and I think he stopped HIS soul from shifting, but the question is whether Gil…
Hmm I see. I didn't watch the preview for ep 7 that closely so that's interesting. My hypothesis was indeed that Gil Ju's soul didn't make it into JU's body, bcz everytime I saw JU in ep 8 preview his facial expressions and body language reminded of JU very much. Especially that moment when Mu Deok talks to him as if it's indeed Gil Ju's soul in his body. But I guess we'll see :) If he's indeed still JU, i cant imagine him not telling Mu Deok about it. In that case, tomorrow's episode would actually mostly focus on other issues, such Mu Deok's past and Ji Mu's schemes.
Also: Can anyone tell me who are the last 4 people who appears on the scene at the square while Hia and Nuea kiss?…
The four cameos are Domundi actors: the first couple to leave is Jimmy and Tommy, and the second couple James and Net. Their cameo appearance is to announce the coming of their respective series, Middle man's love (for Jimmy and Tommy) and Bed Friend (for James and Net), which will follow Cutie pie and take place in the same universe..
I have not watched it yet but have seen a few clips on twitter but the comments here say a different story. Even…
Cutie pie's fandom, Zee, Nunew and their couple's fandoms are extremely active on Twitter. They are definitely one of the main driving forces behind the trending of Cutie pie episodes each week. And like you, I love the OST of this series. By the end, I was only watching it for Nunew's music performances (and to me, they made it worth it). In my opinion, this series has nothing to offer in the script-writing, characters and plot development. The story, the pacing, the characters, the relationship dynamics are all terrible. It does have overall good acting, music, chemistry between the leads, and cinematography though. It all depends what you're looking for in a series I guess.
I just loved everything about your comment. Sorry if I laughed as much as I did reading what remains a rather…
Hahaha, agree so much! I still can't get over the 9 PM curfew thing, like WTH. And Nong deserves better! Thank God I still have Syn, Nuer and the krap gang keeping me sane alongside Foei, otherwise I might be asking you for coupons too.
I feel like a clown because just few days ago I wrote a comment praising Cutie Pie and... don't get me wrong,…
I just loved everything about your comment. Sorry if I laughed as much as I did reading what remains a rather sad analysis, but I felt some of your points deep in my soul OMG "Proposing to your partner is not a birthday present WTF", "I guess I should just grab a bottle of wine and furiously write fanfiction or something" This episode was a total mess, but for me everything was quite a mess prior to it already. I don't really have any hope for ep 12, but if I had, they'd be similar to yours, except I would want them to actually separate for a while. Ideally Kuea should grow on his own in an environment where he feels free to be himself, undergo therapy and reform his relationship with his family so that he doesn't feel compelled to put the "perfect Kuea act" up with them anymore. Lian should undergo therapy and grow out of his controlling ways. Then they might give their relationship another - hopefully better - shot, if they still wanted to.
I completely get you. After ep 9 (the only episode where I personally felt there was a bit of progress on the…
Not without significant changes in their relationship which, given that they havent happened in ten episodes, have little chance of happening in just the two ones left, and no chance of happening in a realistic fashion. So yeah, this will be Syn and Nuea for me too.
