And soooo impressed by NuNews way of pronouncing all of these languages! I speak and know a lot of these languages…
I can speak for the french bit as it's my native tongue, and his french was uncomprehensible. But he did seem to do well in other languages and French is really hard anyway π
I never foresaw having this problem (maybe because i didn't think things would evolve this way) but Khanin ordering Charan to sit next to him and to answer him made me really uneasy. Unless I'm mistaken, Khanin is basically Charan's boss. It felt like Charan couldn't say no and Khanin was using his authority over Charan to get his way in the conversation
You're not the only one who wondered. My hypotheses are either 1) the actor's acting is terrible, or 2) living…
But what would need to suspect Khanin's father of ? Unless he attempted to kill his own son, i see no point in shrouding his motivations in mystery. On the contrary, as the story is just starting, I think it's critical to establish your characters and their motivations in a way that the audience can comprehend and engage with.
Besides, this script knows how to make someone look suspicious. They did it perfectly with the King. Whereas I just feel like Khanin's father's actions (or lack thereof) make no sense in the context we're given.
But that's just how i felt when i watched the episode. Obviously we can all feel different.
iβm only part way thru the 3rd ep so maybe this is addressed but how is khaninβs biological father not even…
You're not the only one who wondered.
My hypotheses are either 1) the actor's acting is terrible, or 2) living in the palace is like living in a nest of snakes and Khanin's father can't afford to show his anger at the King nor his grief at the lost time with Khanin.
But in that case, the scenes and plot should be written in a way that lets us know that. They had an opportunity when Khanin's father had some "alone" time with Khanin (without the King), and nothing changed in his behavior. So i'm still as confused and wondering as you at the end of ep 3, and for me that means the script failed somewhere.
You trying to figure out what went wrong with Kang/Sailom's romance gives me nostalgia for the Untamed. No kiss…
Agree completely! I blame the writing for 80% of this mess. I hope they do better next time if they decide to write another original script, or they favor adapting novels because they're damn excellent at that (they're scriptwriters of Bad Buddy and my School President amongst others)

My own 2 cents is that it's due to 3 things, which were done perfectly in the Untamed and Bad Buddy that you mentioned but failed here: 1- the actors' chemistry, which is not working for a part of the audience ; 2- the romantic acting which is sometimes unconvincing on Chimon's side ; 3- by far the most important, the build-up is not well done/the relationship is not well written. I have zero problem picturing PatPran taking a bullet for each other because, when put in various situations, they've been very consistent in loving each other and dealing with things together. The reasons they love each other are crystal clear and every step of their journey towards each other has made perfect sense. There's been no such consistency in Kang/Sailom's relationship so it's much harder to believe in the depth of it imo.
honestly compared to the rest of the show this ep wasnβt too bad i fear the last ep is gonna be extremely rushed…
You trying to figure out what went wrong with Kang/Sailom's romance gives me nostalgia for the Untamed. No kiss but you knew without a shred of a doubt they would throw themselves in front of a blade to protect each other (and they did). Might go and rewatch :)
The first time I saw Perth and Chimon together in a series was in Never Let Me Go. I liked them together in that…
Why would the fact that they might not wanna be shipped in real life translate to their acting in this series? Dangerous Romance is Kanghan and Sailom's story, not Perth and Chimon's. It's basic professionalism for an actor to try their best to do their character justice, including in portraying their love for someone else. Saying Perth and Chimon intentionally spoiled their chemistry/lacked chemistry for reasons that have nothing to do with the series itself is like insulting their work ethic (to me) ππ
while we're all here, can someone tell me if IFYLITA is worth starting? i keep seeing clips of it on Tik Tok,…
It's excellent. The acting is remarkable, the chemistry through the roof, and the story really well written. Definitely among the top BLs I have watched personally. :)
I get where you're coming from, even though I personally received this scene vastly differently. I think the key…
LOL! I see myself in some of their moments too π Everything DOES come together in this show in a way which is frankly astounding - writing, acting, story telling, sound, visuals - and makes it an almost flawless viewing experience. I just really hope the quality of the writing holds on til the end. I don't want an ending that feels incoherent with how the characters have been written and their journey. This show's realistic take on people's behavior is what made so relatable in the first place, and I really hope they keep it up til the end.
