I think people are really harsh on the FL to call that 'blind date' cheating. It was just a little misunderstanding since they were keeping their relationship a secret and she couldn't really get out of it. I think her intention was to just meet up and clear thing up since her colleague already arranged it and she was too embarrassed to not go. Her colleague was with her at the restaurant.

I have a feeling that the production didn't have them married is because if they were going with the 'abortion' story line. If they were actually married, they don't want to encourage married people to have abortions since right now the birth rate is not that high. That's just my theory since it makes no sense to change that from the book.

I'm shocked on episode 7 when she was kneeling between the ML's legs, that suggestive pose passed China's strict censorship WOW!

I'm not debating whether the man has a right to know. Just wondering if the Gov't is really that intrusive. That they will be able to obtain your phone number to call you when you were only browsing for abortion clinics. That's really far-fetched. And accidental pregnancies do happen even with contraceptive methods used.

Goes browsing online for abortion clinics, in a panic. Those clinics somehow have a way of tracking who visits their sites (WTH China??) and start calling her phone number.
Interesting...I wonder if that is actually true in China. They can invade your privacy like that and get your phone number? as far as I know, abortions are legal within a certain time period of the fetus so it's not really a taboo.

How can she be a Mary Sue and dimwitted/damsel in distress at the same time?? isn't that polar opposite.

Just finished episode 1. Damn he's HOT!!

It is what it is. This is what is selling right now. If you don't like it, watch other genre or Western dramas. And it's not true. There are varieties - I'm also watching Dashing Youth and Snowfall. Nothing like you mentioned above. You just choose to watch dramas with the exact same stories you dislike and take pleasure in complaining about it.

You can check out Have a crush on you or some Taiwanese dramas - the MLs tend to be more liberal. I haven't watched any recent ones but when I first start watching Chinese dramas, it was from Netflix and there were lots of Taiwanese dramas with non virgin MLs if that is your thing.

I haven't watched that episode yet but unless they are in a committed relationship or confessed to each other, I don't consider it cheating to go on a date or have your options open.

Overall, a decent and entertaining watch. Everything wrapped up nicely 8.5/10

Love both the ML and FL characters! They trust and respect each other. So refreshing to see 100% trust each other with no misunderstanding.

Su Heng is so annoying. I hate it when sml is still so pushy even after the FL told him he didn't have a chance. This is the most annoying and know-it-all character in this whole drama. I didn't even find the villains as annoying.

Also I find the main leads have no chemistry. They didn't seem comfortable with each other, not even in the end when they were supposed to be married for 10 years. They were so polite and shy, like first dating.

This was quite a boring drama when it was only 14 episodes. They were 28 when they first got married. So after 6 years, they've never discussed children and just made assumptions?? so nothing has changed and they don't communicate just like before. The production is really cheap. They were wearing the same clothes, same hairstyle, same looks in 10 years time (at the end) when they were close to 40. At least put a bit of effort to make them look older.

It bothers me more when the ML did nothing when he was jealous of the SML. He was so passive and didn't even try to talk to the FL to find out if she likes SML. At least the FL tried to talk to him but was interrupted or misunderstood what he said. And when she terminates the contract, he didn't try at all to talk her out of it but readily agreed to it. If I was the FL, I would think he has was not interested in her at all.
