But in general it’s not something I’m fond of.

Not a fan on AI in general… and I’m especially not keen on people seeking advice & validation in their relationships from it.

Thankfully I haven’t really seen it much in shows, but most of the dramas I watch (outside BL & GL) aren’t modern ones so that helps me avoid AI nonsense.

I can easily overlook it here since it’s not been a big part of the story. Hopefully it stays that way!

Damn, actor for Big Jane made my hair stand on end with what he conveys thru his eyes in some scenes.

Just now I got head to toe chills from him in the necklace scene.

Incredibly sexy and charming at one moment but the next he inspires a primal fear response.

Feels very similar to experiences I’ve had with mountain lions watching and stalking me in the woods.

Cant let your guard down for a second. Have to make sure the predator sees you a threat not worth it instead of easy prey to devour.

I thought she played a very nuanced, believable character in Whispers of Fate.

I also liked her a lot with Cheng Lei in Footprints of Change.

Looking forward to her role here.

I instantly recognized him because I first noticed his hotness in Sword & Fairy with Xu Kai & Esther Yu.

Back then I thought he was super hot and hoped to see him more often in dramas.

Since then I recall him in Dashing Youth, Whispers of Fate, and Love Beyond the Grave.

All but DY were pretty small roles.

I think he’s quite attractive and a decent actor.

Would totally love to watch a whole drama about Riyan and him as ML. Even a bromance type would be good, esp with Mr Yan as one of his companions.

Misogynistic, narrow minded, dogmatic old men running their so-called righteous sects who love to pat themselves on the back after committing heinous biased acts of cruelty that go against the laws of heaven.

I always want to throttle them through the screen when I watch these types of xianxia 😅

At least the ones in TEF (so far) haven’t been as eager to extremely torture or heap abusive punishments on the female characters, especially FL.

Some of the older xianxias made me see red with that nonsense.

They could deal with crazy high ep count by breaking it into 2 parts/seasons.

Sadly, I think Yu Menglong playing a prominent role as part of the main cast is a much bigger obstacle in the way of us ever seeing its release 😔

I never subbed to Youku before but I didn’t want to wait or gamble on Netflix maybe picking it up so I gave in and got a month’s subscription just to watch TEF.

Still, I’d be happy if it does well enough to come to Netflix.

I’m loving the old school xianxia vibes!

I also think JJY is doing a great job as FL.

Editing has been kinda wonky in a few spots but like you said, really not that terrible.

Mostly it’s been very enjoyable so far.

I just finished a rewatch of LBFAD a few days ago.

Immediately had the same thoughts about TEF after a few episodes.

I’m enjoying it, but then again, I’m always a sucker for this type of xianxia.

He looked so cute wearing his apron trying to give her food he made.

He’s made every effort to become a better man on her behalf.

One of the most swoon-worthy MLs ever.

That’s so funny, I can’t believe I’m watching and enjoying a modern drama with LHF…I almost exclusively watch costume & fantasy/wuxia. 😂

Rosy Clouds is generally a super silly and light romcom. I read subtitles so the dubbing hasn’t bothered me much. I don’t really like the VA for Li Yitong here, but it’s become tolerable after a few episodes.

I’m mainly enjoying the eye candy of Deng Wei, Joseph Zeng, Tian JiaRui, Riley Wang, and Cheng Hong Xin.

There are lots of funny moments and cute ones too.

It’s not too heavy or serious.

Dai Lu WA’s character is really funny.

It’s not the best drama but it’s def not the worst either.

I’ve been putting ep 30 and following eps because they’re so heavy.

I’ve loved the show up til now but I’m dreading it rn.

LHF and Rosy Clouds have been my stress relievers.
