Likely A Moment But Forever. And btw, I'm currently watching the A Moment But Forever donghua (anime) on iQIYI…
Thank you so much for making me aware of the donghua!

You’re absolutely right:
It’s utterly beautiful, has great voice acting, such pretty environments & music, character design, good humor, and I’m loving the story.

I haven’t seen many 3D animation donghuas I felt were on part were more traditional types of animation.
But this one really is.

I’m very much enjoying it🥰

I wasn’t familiar with the story before and only found out about the drama because I love LXY, but now I’m really excited for it to air.

This is not a diss at you at all, just literally stating fact, if you want ANYTHING to make sense here.... turn…
I was also
😳👀🤔
about some of those scenes passing censorship.

Same with a couple scenes (esp a VERY 🥵🔥 one in the first ep)
in Kill Me, Love Me.

This new level of steaminess isn’t what I’m accustomed to in most of the CDramas I’ve watched over the last 6yrs or so.

Not that I’m complaining😅

Just was a bit surprised.

Still, I do hope Cdrama never devolve to the same level of graphic sexual content & explicit nudity as western/European/US media.

The focus on emotional intimacy & romance was one of the main reasons I originally became so enamored with CDramas.

I don’t mind when shows & movies have a bit of graphic content in them….but the tendency to use nudity & sex (particularly full female nudity & nothing-left-to-the-imagination sexual activity designed with the male gaze in mind) to convey romantic feelings/connection in lieu of emotional intimacy, actual romance, and the development of attraction/love has really put me off most newer shows & movies.

I have the Same issue with the horrible habit of writers incorporating graphic SA/physical abuse as a way to increase dramatic stakes or to give purpose & depth to (mainly) female characters😞

I can handle it if it’s tripe pertinent and done as tastefully as possible.
But that’s usually not the case.

I saw one person mention Outlander in a comment above.
I had to stop watching after S3 because I couldn’t take yet another of the frequent SA scenes.

Censorship isn’t great, of course.
But if there’s one thing I appreciate about censorship in CDramas,
it’s the exclusion of extremely graphic sexual & violence.

I’m good with the ♨️ level in
Love in the Desert
&
Kill Me, Love Me.

Hoping the censorship doesn’t allow dramas to get too much more explicit than that🤞🏻

What are u watching now?

I’m almost done with Rise of Ning (🥰),
1/2 way thru Snowy Night, Timeless Love (🥺❤️‍🩹)
1/3 thru
Kill Me, Love Me (😳💜)
and i just started
Fangs of Fortune (😍)

All are very good so far, imo ☺️

Highly recommended!! Enjoy! (I might try 'Romance on the Farm' for Joseph that I overlooked in 2023)
Omg, most of th elders in that family made me see red with their horrid actions.

Some scenes actually caused me to throw my pillows at my tv in rage😤😅

But despite that, it was a pretty good drama, imo.

I loved Joseph & especially TXW…individually they each were very likable, clever, resourceful, & playful characters.
And together they were a super Cute couple🥰

The softer, almost lullaby-like song Joseph sings (You, Me) is one of my favorite OSTs.

I love the other version with Song Yuning too.

If people can handle the AWFUL family politics/fighting etc, I think they would generally really enjoy this drama.
The slow burn romance is very sweet, all the acting is on point, has fully realized characters & world/story,
and very pretty music.
I particularly liked the smart, capable, inventive, & confident FL.

But mrrrrrr, those elders were unbelievably infuriating & terribly abusive.

The drama did an excellent job showing how abuse warps people and how it’s passed on generationally.

At least some of the worst fam members improved somewhat over time.
And I’m glad the worst ones got their just desserts.

Watching them get a taste of their own wretched medicine was very satisfying
😌😅

Ahahaha I’m 💀st your “what in the vampire diaries is going on here”

😂
So accurate.

I dunno, for being a soapy bodice ripper type story that leans heavily on aesthetics & steaminess at the expense of character development
I found it decently entertaining.

It’s def not a realistic, well written drama.
But I enjoyed it for what it was.

Not terribly keen on all the rape attempts tho.
I might have liked SML if he wasn’t such a total creep.
I found the rest of his character fairly interesting…unfortunately his predatory behavior ruined him for me. 😒😞

All the actors did a good job with what they were given…but, I hope all the main cast gets to be in some higher quality dramas after this pretty mess.

Thank you so much!

I dont think I ever written a review for any drama,
But perhaps this will be my first with your encouragement.

Where did you see the ending? iQIYI seems to have quit at episode 30, and the last 6 don’t appear on the MDL…
I don’t know either! They’ve been so weird with days where they don’t drop any new episodes.

It’s been frustrating, to say the least.

I feel badly for everyone in the drama.

This could’ve been one of the all time great xianxias for me if the production hadn’t been rushed & so choppy in places,
it had been promoted much better,
and if the writers gave proper time to fully explore all the tantalizing mysteries/backstories that explain how the characters got to where they are now and what happened to the previous generation.

I would love to see a drama being made of the older generation’s stories.

I prob will begrudgingly wait til IQIYI drops the rest of the eps on their platform.

I don’t have a working laptop or PC right now.
Mostly watch CDramas on my Tv on
Netflix, Prime,
Roku apps
( IQIYI, Viki, YT).

I don’t really like watching on my tablet or phone unless I’m traveling and can’t use a tv.

So waiting is what I’ll be doing until IQIYI gets their act together and releases the rest of the episodes🥹

Title Love’s Rebellion Spoiler
guys spoilers please.when do they get together?when is the breakup/misunderstanding/amnesia? how long does it…
Together right away, think around ep 8?

Breakup is due to “death” of ML
Ep 14

They’re not apart for long at all, but ML has no memory of his previous life or self.

Reconnect with each other around
Ep 17-18

No misunderstandings or toxicity.
Ml has amnesia but still starts falling in love first time he sees FL again.
Fl doesn’t care he has no memory.
She loves him no matter who he is or what he remembers/forgets.

No love triangle.
Just 2 other SMLs who are like brothers to FL and best friends/younger annoying brother to ML.

The friendship between the 4 of them is one of my favorite I’ve ever watched in any drama.

MC is die hard fully there for one another, tho Ml has habit of sometimes leaving without explaining his reasons in person to FL.
He does leave letters for her tho each time.

This habit of his causes a slight separation and breakup for 1/2 episode or so around ep 28-29.
Fl feels hurt he won’t trust her like she trusts him and include her in conversation about him feeling need to leave her behind.

I think it will have HE.

Really love this drama.
First 4 eps or so are super comedic and kinda silly.

But it gets more serious & romantic soon after.

I love the MC, 2 supporting SMLs, and all the other supporting cast.

Story is interesting with lots of mystery and unknown pasts of both ML & FL they each need to figure out to understand themselves and what has happened to bring them to where they are now as individuals.

ML does suffer a lot, but not because of lies or misunderstandings.
It’s his choice.

Fl also does lots for him.
They each give each other material things/gifts.
Both of them each try to benefit & help one another whenever they can.
The relationship is very equal, imo.

ML & FL are mature, trust each other, usually communicate, and work together to solve things.

Great music, skilled acting, gorgeous costumes & scenery,

Kinda choppy editing in some parts.

This could’ve been an all time great xianxia, but production seems rushed and drama was not promoted at all.

Needs more kisses….I forgive lack of kiss scene’s because the romance is so tender, sweet, full of butterflies, and solid everywhere else.

Chemistry between ZLH & JT is so good!

They’re both lovely looking, sounding, & acting….together their good qualities are magnified & intensified.

No annoying sniping jealous support antagonists.

Villains seem mostly mysterious so far.
We don’t know who is pulling the strings behind the scenes.
Too many possibilities.

There is one blatantly self righteous asshat in Great Path sect (Elder Zhu) who makes me want to slap him every time he comes on screen😅

I give it 8.5-9.5
for how it makes me feel, great friendship, excellent MC, strong and smart but believable Fl,
sexy ML with multiple different versions,
& beauty throughout.

This may be my favorite ZLH drama now.

Just finished ep 30.
Excited for the rest!

I’m wondering too…I thought this was an IQIYI exclusive production?

I’m only at ep 30 because that’s all that’s been released on IQIYI in US, far as I know.

I really wish they’d do a s2 of this drama instead of cramming so much story into the last few episodes. It seems like there’s so much left to be explained and explored.

It’s an interesting world and story for me with excellent characters, beautiful scenery, great OST, and lots of good humor & friendship between the 4 friends.

A fairly mature and healthy romance too…makes a nice change from most xianxia in that regard.

this show is so refreshing. no unnecessary misunderstandings. no stupid love triangles. no annoying side characters.…
I agree with everything you wrote.

I’ve rated every episode….. which is rare for me.

I don’t understand why the drama has such a Low rating here☹️

It deserves to be much higher, imo.

Honestly wish more dramas were like this one.
It’s very refreshing.

I also love The Starry Love.
Both TSL & L’R
have many of qualities I appreciate.

Tho I hope we get a happier outcome this time🤞🏻💜
Replying to fizzySafa Aug 17, 2024
how come everyone in the cmnts is loving this drama but the rating so low ???? help
I’m curious too.

I honestly love this drama.
I think it deserves a Higher rating.

Maybe some people were expecting more of a
typical xianxia and are downvoting it?

I’m enjoying the MC & their super sweet trusting relationship,
all major supporting cast (esp Lil Fox & Dragon Prince), and I appreciate how there’s many mysteries that all tie in together.

Smart, determined, witty, empathetic, wise, mischievous, skilled, strong but still tender FL.

ML is green flag extreme but also has a Devil May care attitude in his second version.
Roguishly charming but 100% all in and willing to do anything imaginable he can
for FL no matter what.

No painful, angsty, lingering misunderstandings or lack of trust between MC.

No ridiculous, vicious, petty, & jealous SML or SFL.

Instead we get healthy friendships & romance that are still exciting and entertaining without the toxic aspects.
I’m so happy🥰

It’s a visual and auditory feast: beautiful scenery/costumes,
beautiful couple/actors,
and beautiful music.

First few eps are much more comedic in tone.
After the beginning,
I like the balance between happy n sad
it’s mostly maintained throughout.

Story is simpler than other xuanhuan/xianxia in certain aspects but still layered and creative.

I recommend it if you like the things I mentioned in your dramas.

She seems to get paired with male leads looking way younger than her. Like a mismatch, then it feels like something…
Although Follow Your Heart fell a bit flat in later episodes/got a bit draggy in some parts,
Song Yi and Luo Yun Zi make a cute couple and have good chemistry in it.

I liked that they seem closer in age than some of the MLs she’s been paired with in other dramas.

Personally, I loved Destined.

I wasn’t into it at first, but I think after 4-6 eps I was hooked.

Haven’t watched this one here. But I’ll prob check it out.

Wow, it has been 5 years
Unfortunately very true about the CCP having ultimate power and say regarding what’s released, censored, or left to he void to be forgotten.

I don’t watch many KDramas anymore because I much prefer xianxia, xuanhuan, wuxia, & historical/costume dramas that China tends to make more of.

I loved Alchemy of The Soul and several other similar fantasy type KDramas….but most just don’t satisfy me the same way as the CDramas I watch.

Mr Queen, Memories of the Alhambra, It’s Ok to Not Be Ok, Black, Goblin, Tale of the Nine Tailed, Hotel De Luna, A Korean Odyssey, & a few others are on par.

AOTS is by far my favorite Kdrama tho.

I do hope this one is released one day. Same with all the BL titles that were permanently shelved after the CCP changed their laws on that.

Watching Love’s Rebellion rn.

It’s really good!
If you’re in the mood for
heartwarming relationships,
comedy (a bit slapstick/goofy),
a good supporting cast,
pretty scenery & music,
simple but pleasing fantasy story,
great chemistry between leads,
and/or
you like Jing Tian
& Zhang Ling He
I definitely recommend it!

3 years after a painfull grief. I think that Nan Yan's change is justified
Right?
I don’t understand why someone would be confused about how her personality has changed after what she experienced and after her trials on the pagoda/3 yrs of heartbroken training with the driving goal of eliminating evil.

I think JT is doin a great job as Nan Yan.
She and ZLH have beautiful chemistry.

This drama keeps getting better and better!

ZLH obviously worke on his voice and I am glad they dont dub him anymore if he is dubbed rhats his own voice...…
His voice is so sexy! And I love these he murmurs those sweet lines to NY with such gentle smiles and warm looks.

I’m fully swooning every time he’s on screen😅

Already was a big fan, especially after SOKP, MJTY, & TPR.

But gotta say, his acting and looks in this drama has ramped up my adoration to whole new levels💜

JT is a lucky, lucky girl to have this gorgeous man as her costar and so blessed to be the object of his love here.

Just got licensed May 28, 2024 China time!!! Please release it anytime now! Please!
Is there a site you can check for dramas receiving their production licenses?

I’m in the US and not familiar with many sites where I can get good/somewhat reliable & up to date news about CDramas.

Ty for any recommendations.

Wow, it has been 5 years
I hate, hate, HATE that so many dramas seem to be finished years n years ago but still are not released.

Why do they do this?

I would think repeatedly doing this would end up hurting actors and studios popularity, reputations,
reliability, & trust from fans.

But maybe I’m missing something and that’s why I can’t understand why this is the fate of far too many Chinese dramas?
