Soft subs are out in 2-3 days after hq video on http://j-raws.me/chugaku-seinikki/ is released. Hard subs are…
Yeah the raws are still not out. They are usually released by Saturday or Sunday but there may be some problems because of the delay in broadcast of the ep.
sad to know that he will stop all his activities starting 2019. he is becoming the top executive in johhnys (probably the biggest agency for male artists and actors in japan). They are prepping him up to be the CEO of the agency i guess after the current president passes away.
I was thinking about all the possible endings to the story and came up with some of my own
The best ending : In the last shot we get to see little hijiri and little akira running around the house with papa akira taking over his mom's business and mama hijiri coming home from work where she teaches elementary school students. (If this happens I can die without regrets)
The happy ending: They get together in the last scene of the show but their future together will be left to our imagination.
The sad ending: Hijiri will move on from Akira and choose the other sensei thinking it will be better for Akira's future or some shitty excuse Japanese dramas like to come up with so they can screw the audience.
The worst ending: Hijiri finally realizes that she wants to be with akira and tries to find him but he ends up passing away in an accident leaving his diary with hijiri. (If this happens it will scar me for life. I will never be able to watch romance dramas again.)
even i feel the same. k-dramas are just not going deep anymore. The love in recent rom-coms feel superficial.…
yeah a lot of people gave shit to hammurabi because of some issues but that drama is gold. I learnt a lot while watching it especially about how there are two sides to every story and are worth listening to even if the criminal is completely in the wrong. Pretty noona was good too and like you even I have put it on hold and havent watched the last two eps. I was spoiled about the ending and motivation is low to finish but I will.
Okada Kenshi reminds me of Lee Jong Suk in I hear your voice. I still have flashbacks to the scene when he wears a suit after the trials and is heading towards Lee bo young but sees her with the second lead and then he turns around sadly heading the other way. Man that shit gave me so much feels that even after 3 years I still remember that scene so vividly.
I have watched a lot of kdramas but this is totally on a different level. I have never been so invested in a kdrama…
seriously thinking about it they took a massive risk making okada the ml. he has no previous acting experience in a drama or a movie. he has theater experience though.

I found long vacation very close but honestly I cannot compare since I binge watched long vacation and feelings came and went. However with chugaksei Nikki since we are watching weekly, with each episode the feelings build up and fester inside me. It's like it has invaded me and I keep thinking about it atleast once every hour throughout the day
There is a new k-dram coming out next week called encounter featuring Song hye kyo and park bo gum. The story is about a divorced single mother falling in love with a much younger man. I am hoping for similar feels to chugaksei nikki filling the void left by chugaksei nikki when it gets over
This drama is a masterpiece!!!!! being a kdrama fan I can say this has much more feels than the recent kdrama…
even i feel the same. k-dramas are just not going deep anymore. The love in recent rom-coms feel superficial. Also most of them are trying to be fluffy and sweet. Though there were some exceptions this year like my ajhussi, pretty noona and miss hammurabi. However even j-dramas are going the other route and abandoning melodramatic romance altogether in the past decade. Except the ones which have involved extramarital affairs most of the romantic j-dramas have focused more on comedy and other stuff making romance a subplot. Chugaksei Nikki reminds me of the 90's/00's era when romance dramas used to play with your emotions and kept you hooked until the end making you wonder will they end up together or wont they.
Also there is an official streaming site for Japanese dramas in Japan called paravi.com . Chugaksei Nikki is also available there to watch live. Many people use that service I guess.
seriously i am trying to study but all l i can think about is ep7. my mind is going through all the permutations as to what will happen next. this sucks. i want to watch ep7 with subs nowwwwww

Long vacation is more about mature romance. It's good if you haven't tried it out.

This show is not that similar but the chemistry between leads is good
