SML is no different than stalker, he was following her since childhood and she don't even know him, he is weird.…
It’s not about career since you can see that she is not even that involved at her job and keeps taking breaks. It’s about her mental health which is extremely bad at this point. She is struggling very hard. If she was also a woman who was intentionally neglecting people , husband and kids, people (viewers) would still hate her. Here though Something is wrong and maybe we will know in subsequent episodes… maybe there is a conspiracy and someone is intentionally drugging her or maybe she is schizophrenic in addition to BPD… there are possibilities. I am suspecting there is an evil human force which is master minding everything. Or it’s schizophrenia (though I have not seen her hallucinations yet) and she maybe locked up by the time the episodes wrap up, Let’s wait and watch
PS: but one thing I agree, she should not get custody of the child,,,

Thank you! I don`t like romance in dramas they just make it cringe and ruin it. maybe very few were ok? but like…
I read a lot of young adult fiction which is usually young girls with old heroes (vampires, faes, elfs etc) and sometimes cringy ones with boys their age and I am tired of this genre in both print and video format. I prefer mature romances if I see, noona romance, else I prefer thrillers.

Maybe because could be a spoiler? There are enough hints that the female leads likes him but feels it’s against her social conditioning to do so …

Please open Soompi. Do not read Koalasplayground, since she always reports half baked statements. Her agency says (Soompi quoted) she was already questioned by the prosecutors in Feb 2023 and was cleared of these charges. The judicial system of Korea has already investigated her it seems. Let’s not create another Lee Sun Kyun case :)

This sounds like kulin pratha. So upper class men in east India, used to keep dying so at any given point upper class families used to have lots of young girls to be married off. So often they would be married off to old men and sickly young men and were left widows pretty soon. Then they were shipped off to hostels in a city called Benares to live the rest of their lives as beggars, wearing only white and shaved their heads. It was heartbreaking. Then a social reformist called I.C Vidyasagar came and made remarriage legal in 1856 (he even made his son marry a widow to set precedence) and things started improving very slowly from then on. Kulin pratha was also put a stop to.

Yeah I remember reading about Ghana and widows and thinking “oh my gosh sounds just like Asia”. Worst part is how these conservative society mistreated widows but still fooled women into thinking it was good idea to marry men much older than themselves… it was almost like men should get young and pretty girls and their suffering as widows afterwards is so not an issue… no one cares about middle aged widows let them suffer.

I just can’t understand this tradition staying chaste and mourning a husband you never met?😳😳I come from…
This is similar to south Asian mourning. A lot of African, East Asian, and south Asian traditions were pretty harsh with how widows were treated.
As far as I remember reading books from authors (Isabel Allende for ex) Latin America and Europe (Italy, Spain etc) were also the same. Up until 19th century widows were expected to wear black with a heavy veil and were often sent to a convent for penance.
Problem is since women married much older men back in those days, majority of women in these countries had to face these inhuman conditions at some point in their lives once husband passed.

I'm really happy at the start of 2024 k-dramas. For the first 2 episodes I'm giving this 8.5 stars, The Story…
What I like the most is that despite being quirky and hilarious, at some scenes she is able to emote her inner pain and longing very well too.

That’s wonderful. But many women I know are suffering a lot. It’s stress related too. Google endometriosis it’s actually not uncommon and it’s quite bad. According to world health organisation, this affects about 10 percent women of reproductive age so almost 200 million, globally. So one in say 15 girls may have severe periods. https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/endometriosis

Yes and India was just the same until ban of Sati Daha in 1829 and widow remarriage act in 1856. But practices continue even to this day.
Problem is these online girls don’t think.
Being a widow has consequences in parts of South America, South Asia and Africa even to this day. Their lives are severely restricted. In parts of Africa widows cannot even wash themselves daily and are victim of abuse. In countries in Middle East, widowed women can be at the mercy of their fathers or sons. In many parts of world these women and their children fall into deep property. So yes I agree with you, why should women not marry younger men, reducing the chances of these things happening.

Why is every drama portraying women having their period like it's the end of the world? Maybe I'm the odd one…
There are women like that. One of my college friends used to faint and keep vommitting the whole day. Another one of my school friends had really painful periods, she fainted and fell straight into the glass table of her living room and destroyed her face leading to months of surgery and hospitalisation. Another one of my friends has such bad ones she needed emergency hysterectomy. The symptoms can bad if they have 1) thyroid 2) PCOS or 3) endometriosis. They did not mention it (I have not watched this episode yet) but maybe the person has endometriosis

We literally seeing a drama about what happens when a woman is left widowed young. In Asia, south and east Asia, men married women much younger than themselves and then the younger woman was left bereaved very young in her life usually by late thirties. But women live much longer than men. So literally the girl was left to be a widow wearing white, eating few meals, restricted and confined to home, not allowed to go out for decades of her life. There was something called “Kulin Pratha” in India, where upper class men married much younger women and these women were left widowed and shipped off to hostels forced to wear white and shave their heads for their whole lives. Being a widow has consequences for many parts of the world even now. Having less age difference with your husband or if you are a little older is literally the only social insurance against it.

I think girls have a problem when they see older women with younger men. This is wonderful news for men like Harvey Weinstein, since why do work to prey on unsuspecting girls, the girls will do it themselves, I want to understand if there is a evolutionary need why girls do so. But the cruelest joke from Mother Nature is that life expectancy increases by 10 years for every new decade one is born and women live very long. So all these young girl being vicious will be very old one day (100 plus at least). Trust me I know since I am an actuary. Then these girls will definitely NOT HAVE THE LAST LAUGH as super old women living in retirement homes themselves. What goes around comes around if not today then tomorrow for sure.
