Title Devil Sister
This will go down in history as the worst noona romance I have ever seen. Never watched anything worse in my life. I won’t be rating it since one cannot rate a drama -10 which is what this drama will be getting from me. At this point I am an absolute hate watcher. And since I have zero objectivity at this point, on principle I will not be rating this drama.

Title One Day Off
This story seems so similar to the “Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries”. A book which is all over book Tok these days. The setting and the world is different but some things seem so similar… it’s interesting to me. Especially when I see synchronicities with book world and k drama world. I wish someone adapted a good fae story into a k drama setting.

i still dont get why people dont like this
Because the character arcs don’t make sense. Also the author has glorified the cheators. The cheating couple got a lot of screen time and they ended up as the one who were like the advice gurus that the lead couple would run to. Very weird. If someone cheated on me I would not run to them for advice. That would be very spineless of me. People could not understand why the author went crazy like that. Also, The lead couple despite having good chemistry have very few screen time together.
What was done well was the science behind weather forecasting and the angst children face and the damage to their lives when parents fail to do their responsibilities.

The age difference in the show is closer to 3-4 years, he's 42 and she's 45 or 46
Yeah it’s no biggie at all… but it’s the difference in life stage is decades. In witches romance with park Seo joon they appeared similar in maturity levels and I love that pairing. Here this drama seems more about self healing to me 😊

Which is why I liked this drama. Because the writers showed it exactly how it is in real life and the heroine…
Me too I wanna be a rich guy (I am a woman). Life is so so so easy for them. Next birth I surely will be … I can hope 🤷‍♀️

the good guy are treated like a shitt because he is poor and the bad guy are treated like a god because he is…
Which is why I liked this drama. Because the writers showed it exactly how it is in real life and the heroine was a spoiled woman. And women do behave with double standards when presented with a rich or a powerful guy. This drama seems like a very modern telling of taming of the shrew.
I mean see Elon Musk he keeps firing people left and right and left many jobless and people still flock to him for his thoughts.
Donald trump has been found guilty of sexual harassment and still finds women willing to marry him and have his kids and vote for him too.
We are getting angry with the characters in the drama beucase they embody the toxic traits we see in people in real life.

I usually really like noona romance. It’s something very refreshing and not cliche. In fact witches romance, by the same heroine is one of my all time noona romances.
Having said that, in this instance I am not 100 💯 shipping her with doctor Roy Kim, even though technically the age difference is only 5 years.
She is jaded has undergone years of misery from her in laws, husband and her kids even. It’s important for such a person to maybe focus on themselves. A new relationship is also demanding of one self, you have to feel romantic, starry eyed about this new person and this new life you both create and she is too hurt and too much baggage. Plus I feel pity for any man who has her horrible daughter foisted off on him as a step father. Maybe once that horrible girl goes to college it would be easier to pursue a new relationship.
I hope she divorces that loser husband of hers too.

This show reminds me of this Indian soap called Anupama. It's similarly about a neglected wife who put her life…
I have watched the Bengali show Sreemoyee. And the Marathi show now Aai Kuthe Kay Karte (i understand both the languages). The Marathi one is closer to the original one Sreemoyee. Maybe the Hindi one will turn out to be different. I haven’t watched any episodes of anupama I am not aware of the characters. I just know it’s based on Sreemoyee.

I have a spoiler for you… only read on if you want spoilers for Anupama.

*******
in sreemoyee indrani halder her new husband dies… she sinks into deep depression and she leaves everything and everyone and disappears. That’s literally the last episode. Like a said the show creators don’t not want to see women happy in second marriage.

I literally thought of anupama… so many similarities. Anupama itself is a remake of Sreemoyee a Bengali serial. Same horrible ungrateful kids and horrible husband.

In my humble opinion the husband is most at fault. Women when they are mothers do become selfish (even if it’s not morally or ethically correct, moms make decisions focused on best interests of their child). So even if not justified it makes sense that doctor Choi is holding on to the loser guy because she wants acknowledgment of her child.
The doctor is the worst person. He has not stepped up for his wife, his mistress or any of his kids. But because it’s an Asian drama one knows that at the end of 16 episodes he will be the one with the least collateral damage.
The demonised other woman will have the most damage and the leading lady will also probably gain nothing.
It’s how almost all Asians (East Asian, west Asian Turkish and South Asian Indian Pakistani) dramas end.

Because this is an Asian drama men are forgiven everything. And the drama world is harsh to a woman (she loses…
An old movie? This used to be a pretty common theme for all 1970s, 1980s and 1990s movie. The movie 1992 Damini (a woman goes against her rap@st brother in law) finally changed this regressive mindset. Even then until 2012 at least all women who were molested were shown to either be sold off to brothels or commit suicide. Like I said nothing like Indian movies. It’s straight out of the 1600s medieval world.

Not even garbage. Indian shows treat women like a used female hygiene product. I have not seen anything worse than that including Pakistani dramas.
When I watch Indian dramas I am like “why don’t you the show creators just kill her off. At this point even hell would be better than what you as a show creator are making her undergo. “

Only one imagine where the woman does not go back or she does not end up lonely and along and sad (even though she is the one who did not cheat). It’s the perfect wife. The female lead did not go back and her boyfriend was this cute weirdo. She also ended up having an amazing relationship with her ex husband. Very nicely done.
Korean dramas have been harsh with women. They have a very strong religious take and always punish women and men go scot free. Examples where the woman suffered terribly
1) secret love affair 2) VIP 3) village achiara and many many more dramas like that.
Chinese dramas are better less preachy less religious undertones, so more example of women leaving their cheating husbands and starting a new life.
At least be thankful you are not watching Indian dramas which are the worst. Women go back to cheating husbands (even after physical abuse 🤦‍♀️)

I am still confused why everyone here is thinking that Dr cha might not divorce Seo inho at the end and will end…
Because this is an Asian drama men are forgiven everything. And the drama world is harsh to a woman (she loses her health, wealth, social standing) if SHE does something wrong. People are basing their opinions based on what they have always seen
