Ok, a little surprised to see so many negative comments for ep 4. I mean, I was pretty indifferent to anything happening for the first 3 episodes. But now, I got some OPINIONS ABOUT STUFF and mostly it's wanting some really painful and humiliating and bad things to happen to one certain character. That might not be emotionally healthy for me, but at least I'm feeling strongly about something. That wasn't the case before.
And cosign all the positives comments for Jo Soo Hyang. She rocks.
Personally, prefer not to binge - 1 episode per day even if the show is fully available. Have made a couple exceptions, but I want the experience of a good show to extend over a longer time.
First show in quite a while where I did not have particularly high expectations that genuinely positively surprised me. It's not breaking any new ground plot wise, doesn't have any particularly notable acting work and it probably wouldn't function nearly as well in a longer format, but it's smartly executed, shrewdly cast, crisply paced and does a marvelous job of bringing out some of the lovely humanity of the rural and elderly citizenry (an item that other shows have butchered badly).

I would suggest "Insider" as an addition to the list.
While I was not a fan of the show overall, I am a fan of highlighting the best part of it - Cha Joo Young's scene in episode 1 where she brings Hee Woo back.
I have to get potential girlfriend out of an RV that is engulfed in flames. I have a large rock. Do I: a. break glass window on side of RV in front of my face b. break glass window on front of RV just to left of my face c. move to my right seeking other glass window to break with rock d. hit my own head with rock hoping that will spur a synapse in my brain to fire and lead to me pursuing obvious solution to RV engulfed in flames with potential girlfriend inside e. give up and figure I'm a pretty good looking guy that can find another potential girlfriend in short order f. give up the shaman charade and join a monastery and go legit as a spiritual guide g. pray even though I have no belief in prayer h. bang on a thick metal chain with rock because I'm pretty sure that potential girlfriend is probably already toast
Bonus question: My brother is searching for a serial arsonist/killer somewhere nearby. I see a fire erupt. How long is the conversation with my new girlfriend where we stand still and wonder what might be happening?
Guys I want to share how I feel about the ending. I really wanted woong to be the end game. I love Jinyoung but…
1. Two full episodes is also a lot of time to just wrap things up on a happy ending. 2. One of the best episodes of season 1 involved a false flash forward. Not out of the question that the pieces seen in the preview were something similar. 3. Despite that, if I were betting $, wouldn’t be on Woong and Yumi ending up together. I think you’re probably right. But I don’t think it’s totally game over.
I acknowledge that it's likely that Ba Bi told Yumi the truth about the car accident and the hospital at the end of episdoe 12 but there's something that doesn't make sense here.
He works in the same office as Ruby and Yi Da who are Yumi's two best friends. And he gets in a massive car accident when he's going on an overseas business trip and spends several days in the hospital. And the two women in his office that are BFFs with his girlfriend don't hear about it? I can't imagine that his accident and hospitalization wouldn't be immediately circulated throughout the company. Or Ruby and Yi Da (or Control Z for that matter) do hear about it and they don't say anything to Yumi? There's no way.
Again, it's probably my Detective Cell being extra paranoid and the story is a stretch but legit.
Agreed that it certainly did decline after the halfway point.
