I came to watch this for Gong Jun, but his talent is not really put to much use here, instead i discovered many other good-looking actors - just saying. Most of the time Gong Jun just walks around fanning himself and smiling mildly.The plot gets hard to follow sometimes, too many names and secondary fantasy actions for non-chinese viewers to remember.
The few fighting scenes are nice.
It should've been half as long a drama to keep the initial pace.
Nice watch all in all for the fans of fantasy stories.

a comedy turned bad
It starts as a very sweet romcom, with nice faces and funny encounters, mouth-watering recipes and everything... The mature ML has great chemistry with the FL, but the writers decided otherwise, and despite the reciprocal love and tenderness of this couple, they make some twists and pair the FL with the immature younger ML ! Honestly, i didnt like this, it's like saying that being hard-working, dedicated, sensible etc etc values nothing on a personal level! Also, it's nothing funny when you pull out the amnesia trick and make the ML forget the love of his life.My guess is that the director was biased and wanted to give credit to the popular korean ML...

korean drama school at its best!
This drama is really excellent in all aspects... I cannot recommend it more! Eye-candy actors (totally!), entertaining plot, nice camera work, perfect details, reality check in place!!This one gets on top of my romcom list - with some melodrama thrown in the mix.
The ML is so handsome and so loveable! He is just Prince Charming at a young age! The FL is almost as good... The secondary cast? Tremendous!! I'm in love with everybody, from the adorkable friends to the shallow office colleagues and those two dummy plotters!! Even the slow moments are enjoyable.
The ML is SO lovable - energetic, passionate, loving, bright, innocent, playful, kind-hearted, hot tempered... I'm at a loss for words. He is just loveable and perfect! The FL is lacking as a character, but relatable (I'm sorry for not liking the women who fall drunk in the street). Every character is interesting and gets enough screen time. Even the Tin Men of the series have got a heart.
So many funny moments, most carried by the ML, but everybody is good in his/her own way.

very funny lakorn... first half
I have to thank all the reviewers for recommending this, it's totally funny - well, at least the first half, after that it takes the usual turn.Based on the trope of forced / accidental marriage / cohabitation, with some action/ crime/ suspense thrown in , it's really a good watch. The ML is not a complex actor, but he is so handsome that we cant care less, as long as he keeps smiling through good and bad. The FL is very funny and such a cutie. The settings are luxurious and the cinematography is great, with no signs of getting old.
Being a lakorn - and quite a typical one - you can expect some tropes, but i guess we're here for those already. Like, everybody is rich & handsome & successful & not even the servants seem to work much... Dont expect any kisses though, just a few pecks on the cheek. We also get to meet the bitchy clingy villain woman that we all want to slap.
I would totally rewatch the funny moments anytime.

it has a kind of unbeatable innocence
As many viewers pointed already, this teen movie is quite tropey... Well, maybe we should use some other word instead, like - conformist, standard, predictable or whatever. But this is not at all bothersome, it is just what we expect to see from a teenage romantic movie, so it meets our expectations somehow.The saving grace of this movie is the fresh approach - genuine young actors, ordinary life events, relatable series of events... All in all, a nice journey towards growing up.
It's hard to point the magical charm of this movie.
One thing i personally dont like in dramas is going down the memory lane... I mean, the past is there, just find another way to relate to it - if necessary - than opening this bracket.
Not sure abt rewatching, but glad to have spent a relaxing afternoon over it.

a record for portraying so many easy girls and boys
Though the dynamics of the main couple is pretty good - despite some dragging and some nonsensical moments - i'm totally in awe to see SO MANY easy people at once! Students too! The girls are pretty but they literally BEG the guys to bed them and keep changing partners over some concert tickets! The boys are no less - they pick up a girl every time they go out at the bar, proceed with kissing in the bathroom and soon they end up at his or her place. Just like that! Honestly, it's nothing realistic abt it. At this rate, everybody gets to sleep with everybody. Is this a hippy sex-liberation camp or something?The two ML's are off sync for most of the time. Either one or the other keeps chasing his partner without being reciprocated, then the roles are changed and this goes on almost till the end.
It could have been way better.

how is this even a drama??
One of those fast-paced chinese stories that dont even count in the film industry... I'm not saying the actors are not gifted or the director not good, it's just the format they chose addresses a public of its own. Like something to watch on the train or waiting for your laundry to be done. The drama is really good in its category, but nothing more.Plot? As if... A young sweet actress falls in a coma and her twin sister, who is a tough simple girl, has to fill in, thus meeting her high-school crush who is now a rich businessman. Of course, all the people who matter know abt the substitution, while the villain girl is trying hard to take her down.
End of.

outdated and weird
I read other ppl described this movie as a sad one... Thats not the word for it, its just tragic and weird.The movie is abt two men fated together: one who doesnt accept his sexuality while being gay, the other one being too pretty to not awake the beast in the men around him (yeah, it is as weird as it sounds - and if you ask me, the actor is not up to the challenge). After secretly undergoing sex change, the "pretty" guy comes back to his love, but he cannot be happy with him either as a woman or a as a man. The ML doesnt even recognize the love of his life - and he is a cop too! So much abt spiritual connection and all...
The movie is outdated on many levels - video quality, editing techniques and even ideas on life! It's more like an 80's movie. A few side plots complicate the main one, like the femme fatale surrounded by a series of murders. Oh wait - this should be the main plot. The director seems to favour some sensational elements too, as in many mass-targeted productions: hidden identity, ambiguous sexuality, a lot of blood, promiscuous partners etc.
I would recommend it only to ppl with a lot of time on their hands and out of choices.

rushed & manga-style
The two ML's are handsome and watchable, but the plot is way too rushed, like watching on fast-forward! In one episode, the ML - one of them - gives his 1st night to the boss, breaks up with him, gets back with him etc.The cold overbearing ML is a tad creepy, he seems to be AFTER the new intern, not INTO him. Like a predator going after his incredulous prey, and playing with it before biting.
Luckily its a short series...

it makes you ask yourself a lot of questions
I'm still watching it - but i feel like it's already meaningful... I read spoilers and reviews though, so im not an "innocent" watcher! It is surely worth watching, it says a lot abt loneliness, sadness, and mother love and survival... Even for people who dont usually fall for these topics, it still conveys a lot! The actors look too good if you ask me - i shrink from commercial things, and unnecessary beauty is one of them. But i'm still easy to fool, so these beautiful faces grew up on me.I read abt this film being "realistic" - it certainly is, but drama-realistic, not docu - realistic. The art factor added to it is obviously important.
It's such an expressive movie that it makes me dig up ideas and feelings that havent crossed my mind in a long time. If this is not a proof of its value - than what is it??
Highly recommended.

cheesy & light-hearted
Little to NO action in this drama, just a lot of flirting and 2 or 3 kisses, all in the scenic landscape of Thai mountains. This drama is like a longer commercial to promote tourism. Young actors' clothes and hair-do's are always neat and fashionable with a traditional touch, and everything looks idyllic...The handsome faces save the drama. Otherwise the usual tropes, but i wont point them out, just enjoy this relaxing ride.
Rewatch? Maybe to fill the space while looking for something new.

tragic fairy-tale
It totally IS a fairy-tale, since the pieces of puzzle put together are utterly unrealistic... BUT if supposedly it ever once HAPPENED so - or it might ever happen, the outcome is marvelous. There is this retarded father who falls victim to a cruel society, the compassionate guardian who hasnt always been like this, the cellmates who are more humane than the people outside, and - of course - the brilliant daughter played by an impressive CHILD ACTOR... Just these and it's enough to have a unique movie, brilliantly played by everyone, from main actors to supporting cast.What we can see here is not just a moving story, but also a top product of the drama-school of Korea. You know, when it's too good to be true...

quite funny!
I enjoyed this a lot, and i wouldnt have dropped 1 point but for the dragging ending. If you havent watched something entertaining lately, with good humour and action too - just watch this! It's really something i'm glad i found. Quite niche too i should say!The ML has a powerful scene presence and he is so versatile that i didnt recognize him at all, though i saw all his other important work. Every character is so much on point! No unnecessary drama for most part...

chinese lakorn
The actors are excellent, the plot is entertaining, BUT all in all it's so OVER THE TOP that it cannot be seen other than a lakorn... Coincidences are crazy! Two girls look identical, their fate is intertwined, the shy art student becomes a top businesswoman over the night, the cruel CEO is in fact a traumatic soul etc etc. Tropes are never ending and also the filters make faces look so unrealistic! A lot of symbolism, most of it bad taste. Fashion is weird too...Still watchable, the main leads are nice, extended cast too, cinematography - no flaw, settings are quite expensive.
Worth a watch, dont know abt second one though.

light-hearted action series with prettiest faces
And i mean, from main leads to passers-by/extras, you can just see some of the most attractive ppl around. I really cannot tell who is the most handsome guy here, they are all such eye candy. Action is just for fun, not much tension to keep you on the edge of your seat, the good guys always win, but this is also a good thing, since you can watch before sleep lol.The female cast is still weak... Very plastic-like, no personality. Except for the police woman and the police bunch - they are totally funny!
It could've been a great BL drama, the two main leads are very nice together and have a lot of chemistry, WAY BETTER than male lads + their respective girlfriends. Too bad it didnt go that direction.
You can watch in-between other dramas, then drop if seems too long, then pick up again...
