Title Color Rush Spoiler
The moment he went to the store to buy the products I was laughing cause I took it as a joke at first and then…
My jaw dropped and started laughing out of shock! How Yeon Woo's stare changed! And when he asked the guys if they thought Yoo Han was okay with getting kidnapped! It felt like a complete 180 but one that wasn't out of place which was nice to see :)

praying that korea will start making full length bl dramas this year ??
Literally was think about this earlier today! I also have a feeling that they might not come out this year sadly :( I'm really hoping that at least one can start on production this year and air next year. I wonder if a full length one would even air on TV :/

Title Color Rush
Does anyone know why the Mono counterparts are called "Probes"? Like I get "mono" since they are only able to see in one spectrum of color... any guesses for "probe"??

Title Color Rush Spoiler
Imo I don't think so. Monos rely on probes to see colors, but probes don't rely on monos for anything, so there's…
Glad to see I wasn't mistaken about Yoo Han having prosopagnosia since they mentioned it so briefly in the drama T-T Also I feel like Yoo Han is a bit obsessed, granted far less than Yeon Woo, especially when HE'S OUTSIDE OF YEON WOO'S HOUSE UNINVITED (like how did he know where he lives) and when he talks about how he likes to see Yeon Woo's eyes when he's experiencing color rush. I think they both get a kick out of participating in their Probe-Mono relationship. To be honest, call me crazy, but with the way things are looking right now it might benefit both of them to be obsessed with each other so neither of them get hurt (especially Yoo Han).

It is interesting to have someone review it from the camerawork/editing point of view, since I don't have any…
I just took a look at Ep. 3 to refresh my memory and now I'm mad at Rokkaku again for interrupting Kurosawa and Adachi (I digress). I noticed the indoor and happy scenes tend be color-graded to appear more warm (which might explain the yellow filter) while the sad scenes are color-graded to appear more cool or blueish. A lot of times, the color grading of scenes from films/dramas are made to match the mood of the particular scene. During the first couple of episodes, the very warm color grading also caught my attention but I think it got toned down a bit later on. Either that, or my eyes became accustomed to it.

In the elevator corridor scene I didn't really notice a difference in the skin tone from their faces and hands. I haven't heard of that filter preference in Japanese media, I also wonder what the reason behind it is. I plan to look into it.

Because of the advancement of our technology (wow I sound annoying) sometimes it can be hard to spot when a face filter is applied with higher-budget projects compared to, let's say, a celebrity instagram post. Though I don't think CM used any with the intention of trying to "correct" parts of the actors' faces. If there were any filters affecting their appearance it was probably the hazy one used in Kurosawa's daydreams. Since I wasn't able to watch the drama with the highest resolution, it can be hard to see specific details like filters especially if they are very well-done. Though I remember thinking to myself how natural Akaso's facial appearance looked at the rooftop scene in the final episode. In fact, you can see both Machida's and Akaso's skin texture in this scene. And JESUS CHRIST, you're right, Machida has a gorgeous, glowing face! Both Machida and Akaso's visuals are out of this world!

ok, Kurosawa and Adachi are great & we all love them, Tsuge and Minato are also adorable......but, did we just…
Nope! You didn't dream it! Check out this earlier comment that has a link to a translation of an interview with one of the show's writers (They talk about it here, and I believe they say she is aromantic/asexual on the 3rd photo though the whole thing is an interesting read). https://kisskh.at/69463-30sai-made-doteida-to-mahotsukai-ni-narerurashi#comment-4856867

It's interesting that you say you felt like there was more chemistry from the actors who played Minato and Tsuge…
I think it was probably the writers who wrote Kurosawa's character tbh. I also felt the same way - that he lack a bit of depth. I understand that he is literally supposed to be the depiction of the "perfect guy" but it would have been great to see him (Kurosawa) break that character especially since Adachi said it was okay for him to make mistakes. I feel like the writers missed the opportunity of making Kurosawa more 3 dimensional in this sense. He did show his emotional side throughout, though. I think that it might all stem from the fact that Kurosawa is very selfless which in itself can be frustrating to see from an audience's perspective. I really don't think it was because of the actor, Machida. In fact, I think his performance in the drama was almost flawless. I think most of the critics I have with CM lie in the writing of the drama, especially for the last few episodes since the pacing felt a bit off.

I'll start by saying I freaking loved this! It was so wholesome and funny. My favourite parts were when they played…
It's interesting that you say you felt like there was more chemistry from the actors who played Minato and Tsuge since I think most people are saying the opposite. If I think about it more carefully, sometimes it feels like there's something between Kurosawa/Machida and Adachi/Akaso that's stoping them from getting closer to one another though it might be intentional to show how different the characters are and how they're from 2 different worlds. Is this kind of what you were feeling or was it something different?

Me too, I watched ep 7 the most
I agree, Machida is such an incredible actor! Episode 7 really showcased just how talented he is. He always gives such a convincing performance. Though, I'll have to disagree with you about him solely carrying the show's success. I think that Akaso also did an amazing job! About the crying scene at the rooftop, I agree that it wasn't very convincing. However, I have a feeling that filming for those scenes (and for episode 12 overall) was rushed because of other (technical and other) "mistake(s)" I noticed so I think that there's a chance Akaso wasn't able to perform to his best ability because of this. Regardless, I think that both actors did such an amazing job. Machida particularly shone through!

I dont think there are specific requirements for a review, maybe you can submit this comment as one?I'm not a…
Agreed! Haha, I was just being jokingly pretentious XD I think people are usually able to tell whether something is off or not no matter what, the real test is how immersed the audience is so CM definitely passed! If I'm being completely honest, the only time I noticed something was on my 3rd viewing of the last episode. More specifically, with how one short shot was framed (it was literally just tilted a little too high for my liking) and that's only because I was being overly picky. The fact that this small thing is the only thing I spotted out of the entire series says a lot about CM. I'm so happy that such great production was paired with an amazing story.

It's hard to find dramas (especially BL dramas) that are so well made! I'm not a film geek, so I can't talk production…
I have heard such great things about I Told Sunset About You! I haven't watched it yet but I'm so happy to hear of another LGBTQ+/BL drama that is so well made! I know there are cases where some shows aren't able to be produced flawlessly (i.e. small budgets, environmental circumstances, etc.) but when watching one where you can tell a lot of effort was put in, it makes watching them such a special experience, for me it makes me feel like the creators really care about the project and the message it puts out.
