Upon further thought, the one thing that might be best to do is to ask CMC Pictures (which are distributing it in English-speaking countries) if they know anything about a French release and let them know there’s interest in the movie there, by writing in English in the form at https://cmc-pictures.com/contact-us/ – though asking local distributors about it in French as well can’t hurt.
Currently, at festivals worldwide and nationally in a few countries where it has already been released – and it's coming to more later in the year (too many to be more specific in one post).
It might also still be playing in some festivals. If you can find out what the distributor is for your country but there isn't a date yet, you might be best to join the newsletter or follow the SNS accounts of the distributor to find out what the date is (and whether it will be in cinemas or direct to VOD, which it will probably be in some countries) when they announce it.
Finally found eng subs of first two episodes. But I’m not at home and I didn’t bring my laptop. Naubos data…
All the episodes are now available with English subs on Disney+ and other Disney-affiliated services in much of the world. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/194852/watch can show what it’s on in a particular country.
Where to watch the episodes? I checked dailymotion but didn't have luck, I don't need subs, in fact I hate having…
All the episodes are available with optional subs on Disney-affiliated services in much of the world now. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/194852/watch can tell you which it’s on where you are. Whichever one it is, I expect they all have much better video quality than dailymotion.
There are links to videos under “Services” if users have added them. You can also https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/194852/watch to see which service this is on where you are.
If it’s a choice between thought-through and quality-checked translation and timing done over a few weeks and the rushed-out same-day subs you’ll find for anime on Crunchyroll and K-dramas on Netflix, I know I’d prefer the former, But I tend to be in the minority on any issue, at least compared to other people writing about such things on the Internet.
It’s out now with English subtitles in at least the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. https://cmc-pictures.com/someday-or-one-day/…
I’m in Europe (the UK, precisely), and it’s been playing in a surprising amount of cinemas here. If you’re in another European country, I can only think your best chance is to find out which distributors have released Chinese-language or other East Asian live-action movies in the recent past, let them know that you’d like to see this one and follow their social accounts or join their newsletters in case they make any announcement about it.
Also, let CMC Pictures https://cmc-pictures.com know you’d like to see it where you are; they might be able to have some influence regarding that.
Here’s hoping! I don’t know where someone is if they don’t mention it in their comment or their profile, so I can only link to what I know about in case it’s relevant to them.
You might know about the scene in France more than me, but it looks like there are several distributors that frequently release East Asian live-action movies there (including a great many movies that go direct to video or aren’t released at all in the UK). Some of them might be worth following in case they announce anything about this movie – and maybe it would be worth letting them know that you’d like to see this one in France to encourage them.
In the UK and Ireland, it’s on the Icon Film Channel and coming to cinemas on 10 March.
