The editing and pacing worked really well, doing something I don’t often see done this well... presenting so many moving pieces in such a simple, clear way that in just 45 mins we already learn so much about Hao Wen’s life, personality, and how he handles challenges. His life awards were few and far below average....yet he always saw life as a half-full glass. He embraced the sudden success, tho not entirely the bad side... like the fake stats and paid "fans" backing it up, while still enjoying a level of success... luxury and lifestyle he’d never experienced before..Enjoying it all in his own way cause we were shown it mostly didn’t change his core personality. The fact that he bought fries, of all the food he could suddenly afford...shows the old Hao Wen is still there...or how he found his own inexpensive but thoughtful way to celebrate his childhood sweetheart birthday... Btw..Jia Bing is killing this role, so natural good actor.
The comedy is my kind....sarcastic often engh but delivered casually... like it’s simply part of the Hao Wen package. Like when he said as a narrator of his own life....how he was also into real estate business, only for the camera to cut to landlords chasing him for overdue rent😭😂 and to show absurdity of his words so casually....it had me dying😁
His first meeting with Bei Fan wasn’t the usual one where the leads meet in a way that immediately tells you how important their dynamic will be. Bei Fan was annoying with his camera, taking his perfect shots, only to proceed without any reservations or etiquette and stuff Hao Wen with his food. 😂 and while so childishly proud of what he saw as his extremely successful mission....Hao Wen brushed him off as an annoying paid fake fan and was even brutally questioning his normality🤣So nothing about this short ordeal gave any reason to expect these two .. each in their own worlds...would ever meet again... let alone how much they might change each other😂

This is what I liked the most... how the dynamics between them all as a group nd and on individual level within that little company were changing and getting intensified, the slow emotional buildup hitting hard in the end, as each met his own destiny. It's even hard for me to tell what dynamics hit me the most, many stand as equal, not only the ones all with Zhuo Yichen, but btw others as well..like Bai Jiu and Jing Lei,etc, even some alternative stories like with the fish demons Ran Yi, Lilun, Fei nd Qing Geng and one btw Bing Yi and Yi Long which was short but woow...
I'm glad that some of them are working together, like in Immortalis, which is the second drama I'm waiting for with Neo....since this doesn't seem to have romance as a major plot, like some others, which I usually avoid. I'm glad it will have XZX in it. I liked him in FOF. Then there's Aimi in BYP working with Yanan, and if the rumors are true, Rui might show up in a guest arc.
Btw, I'm so happy about his Yang Lei sci-fi adventure drama....where the other director will be Guo Wei. So, I might even start dreaming of seeing him in some sci-fi blockbuster movie one day, my fave genre 😄. He really is diversifying his roles, and to my joy... none are rom-coms or have some major romance plot, among which Jiuchuan is probably the most anticipated character for now..he reminds me there of some doungha looking characters...

Right now, the synopsis there doesn't really explain the anthology, but it gives a short story synopsis of SYLM and also has Rui and Jia Bing in the cast. I'll ask them about the anthology practice in general, incl the removal one, but if they tend to keep both, I'll ask about the possibility of switching places so that people might see the SYLM page first and then the LiR page where SYLM now is...

Yeah, removing it should fix this strange situation. So far.. I've treated the LiR page as a ghost page out of sight and tbh never thought things through. About RA...there have been some movements...the new poster, the change of the scriptwriter, I think....so it looks like it's still on the table. But I don't know how Rui's name came to be in the first place..
Going to the Lost in Road page made me notice how mdl also has a countdown to airing time. My guess is that at first there was info that Lost in Road was an anthology with multiple standalone stories, but it initially looked like they’d all be part of LiR drama with allocated episodes for each story arc. ...somewhere later it become clearer that each story would basically be a separate drama, this one first... Tho I wasn't involved in the submission..i remember this was the info, and I still don't know if it's possible to change it now...cause it's also unclear how MDL treats anthologies...
