Can't wait. He's totally owning all webtoon character he plays. This is probably another hit after the weak hero. Now another fantastic webtoon comes to mine "Mercenary Enrollment" - can he play Yu Ijin too! I bet he can.
One of my favorite summary editor on YouTube just posted a mind blowing 50-mins video for POJ. You can check it…
Thanks for taking the time to share. I'm still unable to move on to another drama, so I come back here every now and again to read on comments. I luckily read yours .
After POJ. I'm stalking Director Zeng next project. I can't wait for another masterpiece. I like LYT and CXX. Both lead can act. Add Director Zeng magic, I'm confident this will be another storytelling masterpiece with impressive visual. He's keeping idol cdrama alive. I'll watch any cdrama with any actors as long as He's the director.
LLTG worked without the actions because it took place during a time of peace and works as a court politics drama.…
What i mean is. Writer doesn't know how to show on screen how mighty the so called general ML lead is. It's all praise and word of mouth. No credible action sequence to show this.

Sharing what I found on reddit a couple of months ago: Meaning and Themes of Zhu Yu (้็): Literary Meaning: The Chinese characters Zhu (้ - chase/pursue) and Yu (็ - jade) literally translate to "Chasing Jade" or "Pursuit of Jade". Symbolism in Title: "Jade" (็) often represents preciousness, nobility, or a person of high virtue/status, suggesting the pursuit of a loved one or noble status. Plot Significance: The story focuses on the charactersโ pursuit of love, justice, and the reclamation of honor (or status) after familial ruin and war. Symbolic Poster Clues: Hidden in the calligraphy for the drama title are subtle shapes resembling a butcher's knife, a hairpin, and a, hinting at the characters' origins and crucial plot points.

Lol. I get what you mean. I just feel sad for all the villains in this drama. I don't even hate them knowing their back story oh except for that Prince Changxin. Good thing FL beheaded him.
Let me say this with my whole chest โ Xie Zheng's storyline has Epic Lead DNA and they have him playing emotional…
I agree and disagree. The Zhu Yu - Chasing Jade pertain to Chang Yu. She is the rough jade the title pertains to. It's a female centric drama/novel but nonetheless this is not doing justice to XZ character at all. Scriptwriter to blame here. She failed to make the transition from page (novel) to screen (adaptation), lacking depth resulting to "too cool" without substance. I can't even imagine those ZLH fans coming to watch this drama with so much expectation only to see him relegated to mostly riding his war horse. SMH
So many unhappy comment about XZ lack of battle scenes. Only word of mouth about all his sterling accomplishments as Marquis Wu'an. I totally agree with the sentiments. The drama is unable to bring ML whole personna to life. I am reminded of scriptwriter Zou other series with the same issue of ML -LLTG. No credible action sequences only word of mouth.
the current emperor doesn't really seem fit to be an emperor
Actually every character in the book is writtten so well. Yes, even the sad emperor. You have to understand. He was installed as emperor when he was just a freaking kid, I think he's the same age as our FL right after the huge massacre and fire tragedy in the palace 16 yrs ago when the whole story started. So he was a freaking toddler. He has no strong maternal tie/background to support him as he was born by a maid or some lower status concubine. He was all alone with no one to guide him properly, picked by Wei Yan to exact his vengeance with the Royal line. I can't even fathom the trauma, the fear he was put under as a child. The thing he went through just to survive and still needed to do in order to carry on living. What do you think that will do to his fragile mind.
You read the novel? Can you spoil it for me whether Weiyan is the villain through and through or is there any…
When I read and finished the book. I thought that the author can spin another book just dedicated to Wei Yan life story, it'll be a cool read too. I love his back story and it's a shame it was relegated to extra chapters in the book. His story, I think is why we have pursuit of jade.
Doing a full blown war scenes is extensively expensive lol. ๐๐๐ Also in this regard, they are following…
That is correct that part didn't follow the book. He disguised himself and helped her deliver the final blow that killed Prince Changxin and she took the full credit in the book. As to why so many fight scenes and few made the cut. I can only make a guess. Too much time spent on developing couple pairing time which are not in the book but since this is an idol drama, they need to sell that part. So I will not be surprise if the last few remaining episode will be either flashbacks story or someone monologs to get through it. Such a shame, I was so looking forward to the proper retelling of Uncle PM story which probably will not happen anymore. I guess Director Zeng got so immersed into his impressively cinematographer and the writer's couple pairing story - Main Lead not enough so they have to create 2 more that they forgot the whole reason for the story. Urgh! so frustrating. I just finished ep 32. Up to this point, the only characters staying the course and getting me entertained is the Zhou couple. As we're back to 1 ep this week until the finale, I don't have that urge to really watch it anymore. I'll just wait till the next weekend and finished it in one go despite the leak that I have access to, It can wait. I rated this 9.5 halfway now I have to change that to 8.5.
What's the relationship between the current Emperor and Qi Min? Cousins? What's Emperor relationship to Grand…
Uncle and nephew Emperor and minister The current sitting emperor is a puppet of Wei PM. The Li clan wants to replace him with the son of the previous crown prince which is Qi Min.
I still don't know why Man Di survived in the one episode only to die in the next.
Well, as much as I like Director Zeng, I agree with the above comment that the editing became choppy starting ep. 29. The flow of the story is being rushed as we get to the ending. We are getting information overload as they crammed the political arc-side. I don't like it. They added the pig slaughter squad in the drama which was not even in the novel but as you said. One character dying doesn't make sense anymore as they're becoming collateralized for the bigger plot reveal as we get into the end of the main storyline. I actually like their addition into the story but since they added so many, they are being mishandled. I wish they didn't spend too much time with the other 2 couples storyline as they are not in the novel anyway and doesn't add or affect the main plot. I'm quite unhappy with pacing as I'm watching 29-30 yesterday and I don't have that usual enthusiasm as before coz I have a feeling everything will be rushed as we near the end. I bet you, the uncle PM storyline will be butchered to some sort of a storytelling within the drama as well. If it so then such a let down coz that was the part I was so looking forward too. The uncle story is central to the whole plot and it is being watered down coz we have to give way to couples loveline that doesn't matter in my opinion. Jeez, sorry for the random ranting but can't help it. I forgot that we are watching idol drama after all and nothing like a proper chinese historical drama like say nirvana in fire.
