Yes i go into this drama with minimal expectations so i find it a fun watch.

Just watched 5 episodes, though its not some ground breaking amazing drama but its quite a relaxing fun watch, the lead couple is quite cute

I am wondering any of the other streaming platforms like wetv iqiyi going to pick this up? Quite a bummer that i can't watch this via viki coz its not available in my region

It is after his demotion which id around episode 10 if i do remember it correctly

Beautifully presented the visuals in this movie were awesome, i have no idea how director Zhang Yimou does it even only with white, black n grey colour scheme, whether you like his movie or not but can't deny he is a visual maestro, his creativity in using colours to tell a story is just on another level

I do feel like there were a lot of scenes cut out. The ending was a bit flat, didnt give the euphoria feel like yes finally they are together. It would have been a great fan service to show at least a wedding , just my opinion

Part 1 had a stronger storyline compared to part 2, coz felt like the last few episodes of part 2 was rush n lacked the climax it requires. That said its still 1 of the better quality costume cdrama in recent times

I got annoyed with Shaosang in these episodes. She totally brush off Ling Buyi warnings & thinks she knows better without realising that Ling Buyi was raised in the palace n he knows better on people intent n heart. Shaosang didnt realise how much he has done for her, silly n immature of her. I am so glad Qiqi knocks some sense into her head n reminded her how much he did things for her

Leo Wu sexy gazes exudes some crazy sexual tensions, even i cant take my eyes off him. Not to mention his fit n strong physique suits this character to a T

Was putting off this drama despite its high ratings due to the number of episodes, finally decided to check out n so far i am liking it. I am impressed with Leo Wu acting, the range he has and he does know how to give out sexy gazes there. Zhao Lusi is solid as usual, love Niao Niao upright, smart n cunning character. On ep 12 , Still long way to go but i am loving it thus far

I appreciate the recent trends of drama heading towards strong sisterhood relationships n female empowerment, thats the strong point in this drama. Though the romance is secondary imo but i do like how 6th, 5th n 7th prince treated their wives with love n respect. Seriously dramaland needs to do away with annoying black belly male lead characters who bullies the FL

Li Wei is a sweet girl but she can be frustrating at how oblivious she is towards Yin Zheng affection on her. On episode 10 i am glad that the eunuch knock some sense into her as viewers will also feel the frustration whenever she says she wants to leave. Didnt know why the scene was just funny n satisfying as eunuch just cant stand anymore li wei being unaware of yin zheng feelings

Just started this drama n i am loving the theme on the sisterhood & women empowerment the most. Baifu is the most adorable pet ever just want to pickup the cute thing n hug it.

Usually in the olden days the ceremony to seal the couple as official husband n wife are done in the morning. Its normal for the bride to wait for the groom as the groom will entertain the guest. Though they didn't consummate the marriage legally they are married

I love those unexpected kisses from the ml n he did it so smoothly

Somwhow kiss scenes in miniseries like these are better than some of actual full length drama n they do not shy away from implying n discreetly showing the couple does have make love session which should be the norm for any newly married couple. I can't stand how some drama showing how chaste the couple is though they are a married couple. This drama kiss scenes are pretty good n cute too (i like how the ml will use food to steal kisses from the fl)
