Started watching this drama. The FL is very dislikable.

Finished rewatching it. Such a lovely drama

Loved the drama, such a pleasant watch. Lifted up my spirits. There were some inconsistency and weak plot points, but overall it was well written and I actually could believe the characters to be part of the written arts. Gorgeous!

On Viki and iQIYI I think

Chu Li did such a good job in handling Cocoon after CL’s initial mistake. Well done!

Haha, sometimes you might need to teach those things to your boyfriend. I did and my husband (then boyfriend) was willing to learn. Just need loads of patience and faith 👍

The ML doing the newlywed shopping in preparation for her living there lmao. It’s too sweet! He knows how to spoil her 🥰

What I really appreciate about the ML is that he realised he liked her very quickly and isn’t scared of committing like the trope in so many dramas/films/novels/manhua etc. When he hears marriage, he’s all wistful, instead of apprehensive. It shows that he’s quite mature in certain ways. That’s a great quality to have in a lover/spouse.

Edit: The unconsciously uttered love declaration using Natsume Soseki’s words is so on point!

Another thing from the drama that happened to me irl, my landlord also asked me to leave within a few weeks, because he wanted to bring his cousin to live in my room. If you don’t have a contract through an agency, some landlords will literally chuck you out whenever they want 🥲🥲

Yeah, I know, but this is the first time I was accused of being somebody’s else fan just because I criticised a script.

This situation with Chu Li signing something without double-checking reminded me of something that happened at my company. I work in finance, and this girl from my previous company, approved something without checking because she was too busy gossiping. She sent tens of thousands to the wrong account, and was going to get heavily penalised if we didn’t get the money back.

In true-Miao style, she approached me to have her issue sorted out as I was the only one available to contact the account holder (all the others were newbies) 😒

Thankfully, I got the money back because the guy was reasonable. But seriously people, be careful with what you’re signing, approving, etc.

Zhou Chuan, for all his devilish teasing of her and slight manipulations, is a very consistent character and has given her the benefit of the doubt over and over again, even bending over backwards to help her out. It’s an ML I definitely support!

I only wish he pointed out to her when she’s wrong, improving their communication. However, as a recently fallen in love guy, it’s natural that he gets easily hurt by her thoughtlessness toward him, even if unconsciously done by her.

The FL is such a strange character, development-wise. At times, she is smart with her decisions and I’m really proud of her, at others she makes the most foolish of mistakes! Why would you sign an invoice on somebody else’s behalf without checking and double checking? Why would you put your very important client on hold and then be surprised when he’s upset with you for it?

Her character is not very consistent and I really wonder what the script writers were thinking about? Smh.

The other characters are much more grounded and better defined in their behaviour and actions. I wonder why is it hers that keeps being so untethered.

Btw, I’m not saying she can’t make mistakes, I’m saying that her mistakes are not consistent with her other actions when she made the right choices.

I’ve never given anybody flowers, so you don’t have to worry so much. I don’t care about Esther or Lin Yi or Shen Yue, or any actor for that matter. I just like good dramas. 👍

I work in a company. If I behaved like the FL did, I’d get fired. How is that spreading hate? The scriptwriters have obviously written something subpar, at least for ep 1 & 2. Don’t even get me started on the jokes they gave the FL 😵‍💫

I didn’t even write anything negative about anybody but those who wrote the plot & script. People are way too triggered.

Yeah, and it’s normal for that to be the case. I was looking forward to it actually, but the script is just… 😔
