I'm glad I dropped it before the excruciating scenes came in where the ML beats and tortures her and even look…
Beats? You mean duels? To have a duel between two army commanders is normal. The only active ātortureā was pressing hard with his thumb on her injured palm. Thatās very light in comparison to the true torture prisoners of war went through in those days
I really was impressed with Prince Annan. Turned out, he was such an honorable man.
He wouldnāt have been so respected by all of the ministers if he wasnāt an exceptional Prince. He literally got the court on his side just by showing up š
I had paused watching at ep 15, waiting for Duan Aodeng to be back before picking up the drama again, and Cheng Lei has most definitely DELIVERED! Wow! His presence, speech, clothing, everything screams: Royal Excellence! The drama has finally picked up its pace past ep 30.
Binge-watched it, loved the chemistry between the FL&ML, the plot was okay except for the Demon Arc, which I think couldāve been executed in a better way. The Mortal Realm was great and their last-first meeting in the drama was perfectly set up.
The Douban one is harsh... Maybe also due to the readers who don't prefer how the drama has adapted the story…
Thereās giving space for development and then thereās unnecessary filler scenes. Iām afraid the drama production team have yet to learn that less is more. Iād say only the first few episodes and the action scenes truly did justice to the novel.
The Douban one is harsh... Maybe also due to the readers who don't prefer how the drama has adapted the story…
Is that sarcasm? Either we have not read the same novel or watched the same drama. The pace of the novel is a thousand times ahead of the drama. There is way too much padding & fillers added in the drama.
Sheās very pretty in the scene where she cries and eats her pear flowers though š„ŗ
