I thought I saw somewhere that he was asking her "did you miss me darling" XD unless it's the subs XD Well maybe king's daughter can cure me of dias sickness. Crown Prince did catch my eye at the very start and Solnana is just the type of character I'd ideally see in Rena.

Yeah, I thought as much, thank you for answering. I am so disappointed with how Dias was treated (at least he should have been given more "screen time") and with Noel ending that I am highly unlikely to continue the game. This is the first time thar happens to me with a game and this is why I feel they cheated me. Great characters were just wasted. In fact I will put the game away and never pick it up again. Because you said what I thought very precisely: Noel and Rena are a great canon pair precisely because they can find solace with each other and both love animals. So why suddenly make her so immature and demanding? What is the purpise of bringing her down so much? It just seems so stupid.

It's like the writers don;t know their own characters or just wanted to be malicious. I am very disappointed. And the Dias scene: yes, I feel exactly as you said it.

especially in the Lab scene this is exactly what made me want to see Dias even more because that music box theme fits him as well, although I"m not sure if you heard the same version seeing that you played the original release.

If you intend to be just an rpg with a romance plot, then do that. Lunar is like that and it's perfectly enjoyable. i'm just disappointed that they essentially lied in making promises they couldn't fully deliver or didn't want to deliver. If they wanted a Rena/Claude story, they could have done it like Lunar did. Oh well, I'll find something else.

Aww, sorry to hear that. Too bad! Yes, Lunar is based on a song theme, and it is a beautiful song. The main character has this inherited trait...again she is a character with a big destiny and beautiful voice. And the characters are really involving too. It's a very good and touching story, but again there are changes between the different versions, I don't think they're major though.

That being said, music is deifnitely one of the better parts of any of these games. The music box melody in those Rena scenes was really beautiful and

Actually in the psp release each character pairing seems to have three possible choices one which is equal, one which favours playable character and one which favours the paired character. I was a little disappointed with Noel ending. Poor guy loves animals and Rena insists on shopping? I was expecting more of her. I am still curious though if the people they recruited to fight on Nede (Noel, Chisato) is all that survives from Nede?

Because it seemed obvious that Nede would have to be sacrificed to bring Expel back, especially with all the Rena talk about leaving everything behind. In that scene I was like "ask dias, he should know, what it's like to have courage to have everything behind". This is the kind of conversation to be had with a scarred lonely bishie heh. And about his ending, i agree:

That's what makes dias so great- he doesn't need to say things. I love this kind of thing myself. I am on a "save Dias' binge right now so in full dias Stalker Anonymous mode so I just may write a version of the Lab scene with Dias. He just HAS to be there ><

It's just..if you make promises of an rpg with otome elements, the make good on your promise.

The psp endings are quite cute though. Watched them on youtube in the end because I'm giving this up. The Dias endings are cute as is Ernest. Ernest is a little more vocal about things while Dias is being Dias.

I am curious to see what happens and how they get Expel back but I'm also annoyed and disappointed by how characters other than Claude are treated.

I'd rather replay Lunar Silver story. There are no problems there but the story admittedly is not quite as impressive as in Star Ocean.It's still touching though with a very good cast. And no need to produce books like crazy either >< romance happens on its own as it should. But there is no Dias there >< Oh well. Kyle at least makes me smile. Ill be able to firget the Dias disappointment issue.

Yeah >< Well I watched the psp endings instead. They are cute. i wonder if the psp version kept the two relationship-based scenes you mentioned. I think 'm never going to get them at this rate. I kind of feel cheated. The game should treat all character equally rather than force one character. I doubt I will move beyond "Im from 720 million years ago" scene though I'd be curious to see if the psp version kept those ps scenes. I watched one of them on youtube. I know one is before the final battle and it was appropriate for Dias and Rena indeed.

I feel too attached to Dias at this point to move on. That Lab Scene was the perfect opportunity to make it a value-based one. They messed it up! This is a very romantic scene >< and I wanted to see Dias there telling her things. I tink i just may write a fanfic about it though I'm sure I'l' make Dias OOC. -.-' I am disappointed. >>

Well, it was all for nothing anyway. That scene in the Weapon Lab where Rena's origins is disclosed still had Claude following Rena. I thought it was supposed to be one of those points-based scenes. I just don't know what else to do. That scene definitely ups the relationship values and its really annoying to have Claude in it. I think i'll give up for now. Unless of course it;s another one of those stupidly forced shipper scenes that Dias can;t do anything about. I swear the guy gets major neglect if this is so.

I will probably try Ocean Star 1 one day. Not in the nearest future, though as I have other things lined up..and I first want to figure this one. That shouldn't take 700 million years I hope.

it can mean that Dias is at 6/7 but it;s impossible because I gave him books at the Frontline Base and he was always fighting from that moment on.

So when I reached post-ell landing, I concluded that Claude relationship must have gone up by +5 and reset it. Then I reset Rena for Claude by giving her his books too. I also reset Ashton/Rena since they seemed to have too many points, even though I locked his ending with elanor even before I completed his exorcism quest.

I think I may have to keep checking the fortuneteller and maybe keep resetting everything besides Rena/Dias. heh. I do wonder if I should reset Dias/Ashton and Dias/Celine too. and maybe Rena/Celine, but her ending is locked on the Prince so I'm not really sure anymore.

Haha, but I'm in turn saying that the game is soo huge and complex that it's not necessary easy to remeber it all and there are more important things to memorise than game mechanics. You remember a lot anyway I think and I feel guilty for hounding you with the game so much so sorry but I find it just as fun as dicscussing dramas with you. Especially when we create so many new clubs XD

No. I haven't been looking for one to be hones but I may, I don;t really ant to spoil the events I haven;t seen yet. I've been experimenting with fortune teller and fiugred that I have to reset Ashton and Rena as well. Even if his ending is locked it seems he gained too much RP/FP points after all. That being said the fortuneteller description at 8/8 is the same for everyone now: "You and this person appear to be on a solid track towards friendship" So at least 8/8 value is definitely certain for the fortuneteller.

The only person with a different value is Dias, who is at "there is a hint of childhood romance but it's still only innocent" As far as I'm concerned it means that Dias value is now in the lead, but I can be wrong,
