Well, if one is to trust the fortuneteller. The ending may be possible to force still but as I played through the various files I had saved I discovered there is a scene coming up to do with Rena's past, which should have the intended character because that next scene definitely changes the relationship values. And that one will be based on the base points so I want to force that scene to have Dias rather than Claude.

Nah,I'm just too involved at the moment but I am determined to crack this haha. I have enough saves to retrace if need be, for now it needs experimenting. It;s a good thing I'm not bad at beating the dungeons in good time. I make my own forruneteller guide. There doesn't seem to be one anywhere at all. Still, it;s just made me alert that for both Claude and Dias after the ell landing the relationshio descriptions were the same. I hope I did the right thing by resetting Claude using the books >< Maybe it;s still too early on after all Dias will gain relationship points every 100th battle and boss battle too i think. So either I have to battle a LOT before that scene comes up -which isn;t difficult considering there are four trials or just keep resetting until I get it right. I am keeping notes of this though. I'll be sure to post them somewhere :)

I don't think I'd be able to rember all this after 4 years either ahaha, there is just too much and your memory is best used elswhere too :)

No, I never tried switching her with Noel. I did use them together at one point but that can't happen for obvious reasons, especially with no Chisato around.

Well, I have decided to experiment with the Dias action plan a little. The result? I came to the conclusion that the Ell scene actually ups the Claude relationship by a fair amount. When visiting the fortuneteller in Fun City as soon as you can right afterwards both Dias (who received books before Ell) and Claude's relationship is described as "innocent childhood love".

I'm pretty sure, then, that Ell scene doesn't change relationship with Dias but increases relationship with Claude tremendously. That means the heroine has the same feelings for both when in Nede. When I give Claude the books, his relationship according to the fortuneteller changes to that of "classmate level", Dias is still described as "innocent childhood love" I guess this means that you have to reset Claude after Ell. Unless the fortunteller is just messing with the player but the fortuneteller seems the best shot at working out the affection levels.

Fighters keep the monsters at bay by taking them all unto themselves and I prefer to "tank" in this way because it does give the casters the necessary room for casting.

Haha.So Dias won't steal Rena if she's going for Claude but will for Ernest. heh. Someone's being very kind to Claude here, but I get the impression Dias considers him his younger brother too at some point.

Yeah, I'm mpre into whacking things. It;s easier for me to protect my casters than the other way round haha. But it depends on the situation. If there are many many enemies in one fight then I prefer to control Celine and cast away. But if it's a boss, then usually melee fighters and whack away. The rate of Rena;s healing is excellent so I don;t usually have anything to worry abot, only in extreme corcumstances I am forced to change tactic mid-battle. You could say I am paranoid unless I'm the one who's protecting the most importnant member of the group, that is Rena. >>

Hm. I played this game two years ago last time. I think they may not update the website, but it;s worth checking the forums and the "internal site" where deer members have blogs and communicate with each other. That and they have yearly events running..still, I would hope. Also these guys are busy developing their commercial games, i still see them on FB sometimes announcing things bit come to think of there haven't been any updates in a while. Shame. I hope they haven't given up due to lack of comemrcial success. That's always a problem for indies. They are very good though and their games have a special feel to them.

Removing the only healer from a party is not a good option. I'm terrible at long range attacks so I always control fighter characters to just whack things and let the casters cast away on their own. Running around avoiding monsters just to cast a spell isn't what I like doing. This automatic setting is really helpful, makes fights a lot easier for someone who's used to turn-based battles only.

Anyway, a low level Claude is a good dummy for the Moutain Palace boss battle and that one should be enough to level him to 18. After that he's out of the game. Why must a game make a Dias Stalker Anonymous club member so paranoid though XD

some ideas in Lines of Heroes for that, there is even a couple of gods: a deer I think and a snake, if I recall, they are actually kinda cute XD

Speaking of deer, there is an original online game called Endless Forest. You play a deer. There is no talking but you can communicate and parter up with other deers. It;s really cute, if it still works. Tale of Tales indie group developed it, they also have some other interesting games

I don't even want to imagine how awkward it is :D I like Bowman though, too bad. In that case I'll have Ashton, Rena and Celine until Leon joins for Hoffman ruins and then until Dias joins in the Base. I may need to level Claude to level 18ish first so that I don't have to worry about him in the Armory Contest.But as soon as he hits 18, he;s out. I don't want to take risks. I'm a determined Dias stalker now XD

The thing with replaying games like this is that they areally are an awful lot of hard work, though. Don't you find it tiresome to read the same lines again? I lose patience especially with long cutscenes if I've already seen them. Isn't Awakening the newest title? So something fresh. I hope you have fun with either choice :)

well I don;t really know what to call it. Just not watching at the moment. I;ll return to it sooner or later and I"m not going away from MDL either. If I switched n a drama I would be able to watch it but I just don;t feel like turning a drama on for the moment.

LOL I'm sure our Rena doesn't dream of anything else but stalking Dias XD. Yes, I wish he could be recruited earlier. Would avoid so much pain. But you know Dias. He's playing hard to get XD, much to the chagrin of his little fanclub outside the game :P Again, though, have to understand the man. Jealousy is not a good ally in battle. that's what I'd do too just to be sure: lock Celine with Clauzer and lock Ashton asap. At least two safe members. I thought Bowman is secure too, though, since he's married, I don't really get why would having him in the active party be a treat. Well once I accomplish and get to that scene I'll let you know how it goes.

haha. So much possibibility. Most of disney based fims are female based so there could be a lot of adapting to do. The last one disney film I've seen was Princess and the Frog and this one was slightly more..equal since they were both frogs so in the same boat! That was fun for a change. They sorta did a reversal in that mixed-media title with Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams. it would have been more fun for me if Patrick Dempsey's role had been played by soneone else. I find him too wishy-washy. Have you seen Frozen perhaps?

So I figured that the best way is to keep Claude low by doing what I just decribed AND give Dias a book as soon as he joins in order to bring out the value by two and put him in the lead for Dias<<Rena. As soon as possible I'd have Dias do the same for Rena to bring her ponts for him to 8 too just to guarantee the lead. There is a chance that I may do that before the Ell landing. So I was just wondering if the ell landing woulld destroy all of this hard work by bringing clause values too high up?

Just a couple more because I"m trying to figure it out and talking to you helps a lot :) Does the Ell landing scene significantly impact the relationship values? That is, let's say: I start a new file and do early PAs with Claude specifically in order to LOWER the base points he has with Rena. There are at least three PA's I can do in order to bring down their mutual FP and RP early on, but will the Ell landing scene bring these values up them again?

I"m asking because you mentioned that further in the game two romantic sequences would be based on actual points. I reached two conclusions: that they will happen during storyline events and that they will be based on who Rena wants to see rather than on who wants to see Rena. But it may be best to lower everything where Claude is concerned as far as possible and up the values for dias as soon as possible. He is recruited very late on >< >>>

Heh. I think I do have the drama mood but am otherwise occupied in many senses of the word. But Seoyong can wait for now :)
