This drama should be called "king of makjang Kim Tak Gu" lol But I loved it and enjoyed it a lot. Great characters and great story. I was also very satisfied of the ending.
Could you please share where you watched it? Found 55 minutes of it on kissasian but th e second half is missing.…
Hey! sorry to hear that. I downloaded it from a website that translates to Hebrew subtitles, so I doubt it will help you, but if you don't mind watching without English subtitles I can send it to you :)
Absolutley LOVED it! Great characters, great plot, great friendship...The drama was so well written. and I loved Eun Ji's character! Though everyone did a great job with the acting. It's my own little wish, but I'm actually kinda hope that they won't end up with their love interests, as this drama was so realistic all the time, that I wish that the ending won't be our typical happy ending of marriage or of the message of finding happiness only through romance.
The ending is an Interesting interpretation of the historical story. This drama is an evidence of how we can never know the real facts about those people...and actually while watching the drama I was thinking of how this interpretation could be actually closer to reality than other portrations, or that for at least the portration of some of the characters or their actions could might have been "the real story"....
I really enjoyed the drama! It was so wholesome. I think it touches many issues that weren't talked about before.…
Firstly I am surprised that no one talked about Geun Soo...I felt like his change was predictable but it still felt annoying. The drama "feels like a drama", or a manga, so if all the characters managed to get a good ending, I wished they gave him also a better one Secondly, it's good if you're looking for something like it, but the drama felt too much like a drama to me, which is understandable as it's based on a webtoon but still, because the drama talks about real life I wished they wouldn't do those cliches ...like kidnapping at the ending or evil villians that are so unrealistic... The last thing is, as many people wrote in this page, is the romance that felt forced. I'm not sure if it's their chemistry or something else, but it felt like it wasn't necessary or too much "out of the blue".
I really enjoyed the drama! It was so wholesome. I think it touches many issues that weren't talked about before. Although I think it should have been deeper, I realize that one drama has a imitation to what it can discuss. I only had few problems with it which I'll post in the spoiler.
Wow I really liked this special. It was so heart-warming and it made me want to watch the drama again (and so I did hehe) Coffee Prince was and still one of those dramas that people can say it's their "life drama".
I see they filmed in the cafe itself, but on Google it says the cafe is closed?! I have been there on 2017, and so it makes me sad to hear it's closed now...but they filmed there so I don't know...if someone knows- I would like to hear the answer!
I watched this drama something like 8 years ago and really liked it already back then, but now I decided to rewatch it as I watched the special and it made me realize how much I liked the drama and how I missed it. Now when I watch it again (and I usually don't rewatch dramas) I realized how well written this drama is. It's not only good as "a drama that has a warm place in my heart" but also the writing of the chracters, the relationships, and friendship, comedy, chemistry, realism... I was talking about the gender bender genre with my friend. We talked about whether dramas manage in crossing time..I think this drama, as it was 14 yeras ago, still get to the conclusion that "boys need to be with girls", but it's still manages to deliver the message of love as it is for the person. I think that if it was made today maybe this issue of cross-dressing could have been done differently. but it was the beginning so I don't think we can blame it as people do. It also shows a really good portration to all of the other aspects of life, so at the end I still think that this drama is relevant to today as well. I wished they made dramas like this again....
It's a really good movie. Despite the old jokes or some few things that didn't age well with time. Although it shows an abusive relationship, it's more than only that- it's deeper than it looks (not that I think that violence is ok) but I think that if you put this asaide you'll find out a really good movie, and a really good RomCom.
I really liked the movie. But I still wonder if the twist really had to happen? It could have be finished as it finshed and it would still be very emotional and deep... Also I felt they had to tell us what happened to the mom.....
But I loved it and enjoyed it a lot. Great characters and great story. I was also very satisfied of the ending.
