I feel it needs to be said, because my favorite relationship of this whole show (FadelStyle are a close second) is Fadel and Bison. And this is not to say I ship them, it’s that they stole every scene they were in together. Their brotherly bond and trust and level of care that you can only feel for family, they had it all. I loved how they communicated and respected each other during misunderstandings and were always family first. Their grounded and bonded relationship pushed the show forward and always made it feel like it had meaning.
This was a really great show. But I have to give the most credit that it was the first Joong Dunk series where I truly fell madly in love with them. I’m going to miss Fadel and Style. 😘
Has anyone else watched this again just to have a drink with Jung Kook and Jimin? So many great opportunities. Make sure to have at least a few beers on hand. Actually, this is the perfect show for drinking games. Every time they cheers, drink. Every time they eat, drink. Every time they say “I like this” or “I love this”, drink. Every time they say “I’m hungry”, drink. Pick any option, you’ll be inebriated and blushing red from both the spirits and these adorable men.
This is for sure worth the watch. If there was a melodrama meter though, this would definitely be pointing to the red “severe” portion of the metrics. The characters, story arcs, and many memorable moments made for an entertaining enough watch, but also for so many exasperated sighs given to the character’s continued naïveté.
I can’t really add to anything more than what has already been said about this drama, whether it be positive or negative, but I’ve got no regrets from my viewing. If anything, it shows how well kdramas portrayal of women has progressed. Here we are, almost 7 years later, and kdrama FL’s aren’t so often portrayed as the everlasting victim, but are now more often stronger willed and can even be the hero. So I’ll take it for what it is and leave behind the rest.
Huh? Even if the translations weren’t clear, what was shown onscreen should’ve cleared any confusion unless…
Do Hagiwara and Fujisawa have the same first name? It’s listed for the actor’s that their character’s share the name Kazuaki. I’m likely just confused on whether they’re listing the surname first or last.
So are they brothers? Hagiwara and the guy Nakarai is dating? Is that why the emails got messed up? I’m feeling like I’m not smart enough to figure out what is happening in this show. But whatever, I’m still here for it.
I don’t care if people are saying that ep. 3 was off the tracks. This is a train that I will choose to stay on. I just can’t get over the Thai language exchange between Sang Min and Dinneaw. Why can’t all Thai/Korean BLs figure this out? Sang Min is damn adorable speaking Thai, but those few times he speaks his native language, it’s almost as though he’s two different characters. And hold me back, because woah Sang Min, how can you be so adorable in one language and sound so fierce in another? Sang Min and Dinneaw speaking Thai with each other is my favorite part about the whole thing. I sincerely don’t care about what else this show throws at me. I’m here for it.
I told myself I was done with web series that air weekly episodes that are under 15 minutes. Yet, here I am again. It’s just that these Korean BL’s get me every time. It’s a burden and a balm.
