The thing I can’t wrap my head around is that Inaba, the serial killer that took out all the vile men who raped his beloved could so easily turn a killing blade on Miyashita. He was so against using forced violence on a woman but then did so himself. Either make me empathize or outright hate the villain, a vague in-between is a cop out.
Ep 3 - Why why why why why do characters in Asian dramas just stare at the phone while it rings 400 times, without…
For real though! I have often wondered if this is a cultural thing I’m just not getting, or if people really do this. It also makes me crazy when a character answers a phone call, while in the middle of a conversation with an another person, as though that isn’t the rudest f’n thing in the world. I just would never answer my phone while I’m talking to someone else like that. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ll never understand why it’d be okay to snub the person you’re speaking to face to face for a phone call. How could that not make someone feel like they are less important to talk to than whoever is calling? (Sorry for the added rant. I just really feel you on polite phone etiquette in general.)
Why would it be expected that liking someone and confessing your feelings makes you deserving of receiving a person’s whole life story? Kanade is the one who deserves and has the right to come out to anyone when he feels comfortable and ready to do so. Having your feelings hurt does not make it okay to force them to confess their sexuality. Even though it was a lie, Kanade implying he had a girlfriend should have been reason enough. Both female coworkers should be ashamed for forcing their wants and needs on another person. It makes me feel ashamed as a women that this would be an expected rhetoric. Get your heart broken and grow the hell up like everyone else.
The amount of times I had to come back to this page to try and figure out the characters and who’s who during the first two episodes, it was just, it was a lot. By the third episode though, I got it. Was it a conscious decision to name the S+Alpha characters so similarly? Why Shen & Sheng? Just why? There isn’t another name they could’ve used? But that aside, I’m liking this a lot so far and I’m really looking forward to more!
This has made me realize how much I truly have been missing JBLs, and also reminded me why. The allure and intrigue. The sweet and comfy. Just really wanting to spend more time with these characters. I want to see their loving and flawed sides. I’m going to be looking forward to this one.
I don’t actually know if this is really as good as I believe it to be, or if it was just the first KBL in a long while that I didn’t dislike, not even a little. I loved it from beginning to end. I wish for this show to do a spinoff of the second couple like Unintentional Love Story did with The Time of Fever, they so deserve it (a sequel instead of a prequel though). Why don’t more shows set up the next couple for their own? I’d totally watch that, especially if it meant more Jeong U & Ji Won too.
I’m at the point where I just don’t even want to try to comprehend the S2 story being told. I’m now only watching for Kenta and Kim. And I don’t know if this is necessarily a spoiler, but it’s what I’m thinking, we didn’t see Charlie taking Jeff’s powers to not see him do the same thing again. All my money is on Willy.
I literally can’t think back on a single scene between Zee & NuNew in ep.8 that wasn’t an ad. Am I supposed to hope they got all of their product placements out of the way with this episode and that it won’t be quite as blatant going forward? I was not expecting to be enjoying the rich snob Prince and his royally assigned whipping boy storyline more than the mains. What is going on here?
Here we are, over halfway through the season, and I’m just so sick and tired of it being Charlie vs. Babe when what I really want is to see Charlie & Babe vs. everyone else. Why is their first inclination always to lie to each other when they believe themselves to be doing the noble thing? Ultimately, they’re just causing trauma while supposedly trying to save one another.
The plot is tired, there isn’t enough advancements with the side couples, Chris is obviously not a good guy, why are they being so dumb?! Watching this show is like watching a house burn down, you’re helpless to do anything about it and just have to witness the whole thing going up in flames.
Someone else please tell me this also reminds you of the series Outlander. Yo Beon & Seon Chaek are so very Jamie & Claire coded. The geography has changed and it’s not sticking to actual factual history, but still… The fantasy parts of how they’re retelling the novel makes it even more fun and appealing.
I’m totally down for another season . The last two episodes totally brought it. I want so much more of this chaos.
The star of the show for me is Chain. The whole KinnPorsche, Vegas/Pete thing that Chain and Korn had going on was honestly what kept me hooked till the end. But listen, I will be the first to say there is a lot of sh*t wrong there. Still, I’m really curious to see how that goes.
If you`re looking for no plot, misunderstandings and good NCs this is the show for you lmao.
Don’t forget travel enticements in there too. This season not quite as much maybe, but last season for sure, just smut and travel tour guides thrown together. Which I am surprisingly here for.
I’m watching this for P and Pan. That sweet, cuddly, and sexy scene near the end there, I mean, come on, it was everything. It didn’t even seem scripted. For all this show is lacking, the chemistry between P and Pan makes up for it, at least to my standards.
