I completely agree with you regarding the second ML. Infidelity and cheating is unforgivable. No matter the gender…
I agree, I noticed the same thing lately in Kdramas. At this point I am starting to think is a cultural thing. Their message is to be kind and forgive your spouse for their infidelity. 🤡
To summarise this drama. Is about two people which get married despite the fact that they don't know each other well and don't know to communicate with one another. They dont even understand or try to understand how their partner processes pain or grief. They are both selfish, and is no wonder they start growing apart after they encounter their first hardship. And everything spirals down in something overdramatic and more ridiculous by the end of the story. The last few episodes get really ridiculous, I really can't take this story serious anymore. The writter literally runned out of ideas about how to make everything more tear jerking. What patient doesn't speak with the doctor about the procedure they are about to get done, the risks and side effects?! I have only the last episodes left to see, but from the trailers and spoilers I saw around I know the story is getting worse. The 2nd ML is just an obsessed villain, I don't see the romantic implications there. And my poor Kwak Dong Yeon has been reduced to the role of a clown again. I get he is funny and a good actor for funny roles, but I feel he can do so much more. And the situationship between his wife and the kid, is ridiculous. If the wife you dearly love, betrays you to that point there is no return. She even stole his joy of being a father by sleeping with some j*rk and having his kid. It's almost impossible to believe that anyone would forgive that. But in drama land everything is possible. In conclusion I end up disappointed again by an overhyped Kdrama.
I dropped it after ep 13. The whole plot started to get ridiculous as the drama progressed. There isn't enough substance for 16 episodes. And the way the main Leads act like kids when they both are over 30 is a bit too cringey to watch sometimes. 😬
I barely lasted 10 episodes. It's a really boring series.
Same. I thought I should give it a chance since this drama is so popular and has a high rating but the story line is a mess. I can't waste time watching 20+ episodes for a drama to pick up. Nobody has that time to waste nowadays. And I would prefer a fully enjoy the experience of watching a drama from the beginning to the end.
Not sure where you get the idea this is only focus on romance when there're other things besides romance. It's…
I agree, i have nothing against this. But this is my message in general to those who read a comment and dont like it. Don't bully those who don't like the same things as you. Like one of the users in this comment section who's so "intelligent" that it was only able to comment profanities. That's why many people refrain from leaving less positive comments when reviewing some dramas because fans of X or Y actors will spam them with profanities and denigrating comments. It's my first time watching a drama of both of these leads. I also pointed some positive sides of the drama but people always focus on the negative ones. Anyway, I will stop checking the comments section here it's a waste of time.
EPIC!!! I hope part 2 comes out this year. I heard the other 2 parts have been filmed already. If they will follow the same schedule, it should come out at the end of this year.

The court politics in this drama is Plain Water! I saw a dramas a million times better on both war and court politics. I see that some of you defending this drama seen like 10 max dramas out there and comment how great and complex this drama this. Or you simply some Fan of the Leads and can't have an Objective point. I understand that everyone has likes and dislikes and for some this drama is great but for others it isn't. Many others may appreciate it, others don't, and everyone has the Right to Review and give their Opinion on this FORUM! That's the whole point of this platform. I hate when I see only the positive comments about a drama just to be disappointed later about it. From the interactions I had until now in this comment section and the comments I have read I drawn the conclusion that There are no Objective comments here. Just Fans of XuKai praising this drama and giving it a High rating and Positive comments.
I should have figured out. You are just a crazy a*s fan of this dude and that's all. You would praise any sh*t he plays in just because you are a brainl*ss fan. 🙄 You are UNQUALIFIED to give an opinion about anything at this point coz you have NONE!
The reason the main leads take the spotlight is that the entire drama is centered around their conflicts of interest.…
Maybe you are a fan of the drama or the Leads and can have your own opinion and so Do I! There will always be some criticism too brought over something we love, learn to accept it and move on. This drama has its Flaws! I am not watching a drama only for the main couple love story, maybe I seek for other points of interests too and this drama doesn't have it.
I Don't want to 😆. Just to make it clear. Wanting to see a drama with "little brain work" is not necessarily something negative or bad. It means you can watch this drama by getting unplugged and relaxing your mind without having too think too much about the debth of the plot. Heavy plot dramas are not everyone's cup of tea. And even if some people are fans of those dramas they still may want to take a break from time to time and watch something less complicated.
And who tf you think you are to tell others what to do and what to comment on the internet? Learn to handle criticism and get over your child like tantrums. Unless you are a 10 year old I don't find an excuse for this behaviour. Not Everyone will Like the same things as you! Learn to accept the real world.
I had to drop it despite some of the positive sides of this drama. The first few episodes were interesting and the story seemed to develop into something dynamic. There are funny moments too and the two leads have a good chemistry (a sort of cat and mouse dynamic). Their romance is not dragging and they seem to be aware of their feelings quite early on. But unfortunately the rest of the story is LAGGING. It got me bored as nothing seems to happen. Maybe I am into dramas where I can see more action and changes of situation and this drama is not for me. The rest of characters don't play much of an importance to the world building, and the story is very Weak. It almost seems like the story is only as a background somewhere in the distance and only the Main Leads romance take the spotlight. Other than that, the casting is decent (even if I never seen a drama with Xu Kai and Jing Tian before), the costumes, settings and cinematography is high quality but the story is boring. This drama is for those who are only into Romance with little brain work.
If I would be to compare this drama to "My demon" which has a similar plot I would rate this drama slightly higher. At least there are less boring scenes and it was quite interesting until the end. I had to watch "My demon" last episodes on fast forward to get it to the end. Episodes 13th and 14th were almost completely useless. Just eyecandy moments between the Leads. Too much can be too much sometimes. On a negative note this drama had a couple of moments when the FL is literally brain dead. She does some completely clueless things, putting herself in danger just to get saved later. This is a very old, tiring trope people don't want to see anymore. Some of the their past life scenes were confusing and I haven't really grasped their chronology. His 3 other friends, don't really add anything to the story, they mostly seem to hinder him than help. Other than that is a decent drama, the main cast is great and I am glad I have seen some "new" faces playing the Leads. I haven't seen Nana in a drama in a long time and is the same for Jang Dong Yoon.
I am glad to see that the rating has increased. I couldn't understand the unnecessary low rating at the beginning. Dramas where Honey Lee plays are humours and never boring. I enjoy watching her playing.
I started watching Chinese Historical/Fantasy dramas 4 years ago during the pandemics. Chinese dramas have great story telling, costumes, visuals, lovable characters and great chemistry between the Leads BUT the endings are almost always sad or vague. I came to the conclusion that Chinese dramas writers have some sort of allergy to Happy Endings. My thoughts on this drama alone, is one of the best Chinese historical drama in 2023 there is no denying. I loved to finally see a power couple, both amazing and strong and on equal grounds. The Leads had great chemistry too which made everything much nicer to watch. The whole friends squad makes everything better and funny. I loved the Princess character development. Hands down the best character development I seen in a drama of this genre. She slowly became my favourite character in the drama and won a huge place in my heart. The only character I couldn't come to like was Li Tongguang, he was st*pid, infatuated, insane and obsessed until the end, indirectly causing the death of the Main Leads. The martial arts scenes were perfectly executed and filmed, I enjoyed watching each of them. Another thing which kinda killed the mood were the endless flashbacks. I think the last few episodes have about 30% of the episode filled with flashback scenes. But that's a C-drama common trait, many of them contain too many useless "re-caps". And the ending, I really couldn't comprehend why ChuYue was the one in the field supposedly "imagining" that she sees the whole squad when she didn't met most of them when they were alive. The Princess YangYing should have been there as she was closer and spent more time with them. Overall this is a drama worth watching, is definitely one of the Top ones in terms of Quality but ofcourse is not Perfect.
After watching about 5 episodes of this drama I can say that is lacking in some aspects for it's genre.I think for someone who just time travelled the FL and her maiden became accustomed too fast to the huge changes they encountered. If I would be to compare this with "Durian's affair " which has a similar plot, at least that drama retained a sense of realism. The two protagonists in that drama who time travelled had to learn everything from the scratch like kids: they had no idea how to use the toilet home appliances, they were shocked to see the modern attires and couldn't get rid easily of their conservative style. Which kinda makes sense if you think about it.This drama focuses more on the romance side of things while trying to make it funny. In conclusion it looks like a lightweight drama without much substance. So if you start watching this don't think too deep into the plot. When I think about some funnier, much better time travelling dramas what comes in my mind is "Rooftap prince" or "Live up to your name" . Nowadays time travelling dramas seem to lack in comparison to the OGs.
I absolutely did not like it! The story itself does not seem logical to me, trouble happened to our hero in childhood,…
You are an idealist. This drama setting isn't in a "perfect" world. And very similar to out reality which sometimes lacks in proving justice for the victims and the perpetrators escape without much guilt. It shows the case of someone who takes justice on their own hands. In reality we know this could go bad in many ways. Even for the Vigilante in drama it did sometimes. But this is not about how could things should be done in a Normal world but is simply a Fantasy. About a Hero which fights for the weak.If you want to see a Legal Drama about how people solve things using Law and Justice, fighting against the system, then I recommend you looking for those.
I need season 2! I was on the edge most of the time when watching it. I feel I haven't seen such an intriguing drama since a while in the k-drama world. For me the ending was satisfying enough, it obviously closed the arc. But there is still a lot to continue and many more evildoers for the Vigilante to pursue. So it gives enough room to continue with a next season. Since the source material is an Webtoon, I am sure there is a lot to left to unfold.
This drama would have been perfect with fewer episodes. It's really dragging towards the end. Ep 12 is uselessly melodramatic. I almost wanted to skip it completely. The overall rating is way too high, it's overrated. This drama rating up to what I have seen until now is a solid 8.5. First episodes were nice but it's getting worse towards the end (like majority of K-dramas lately).
And everything spirals down in something overdramatic and more ridiculous by the end of the story.
