I have the same opinion. I am tired of Transmigration dramas at this point.
On Generation to Generation Mar 6, 2026
I only watched a few episodes, this drama has a different vibe. Maybe is in the costumes, styling, settings and the way is shot. And is nice to see a cast of so many new faces!

Title Dear X Spoiler
A crazy drama, there was no boring episode and I really didn't knew what to expect next. For the first time in a long time I enjoyed watching something where I wasn't able to guess what comes next.
Acting wise, I think all the actors in this drama proved their worth, especially the younger gen in the line-up.
The characters I felt bad for areJae O, In Gang and her boss.
I Honestly couldn't understand Jae O final sacrifice for her, this guy was always third wheeling and he deserved so much better after wasting a part of his life in jail. He still had a brother to live for and he could have returned to him and rekindle their relationship. But he was the perfect victim all this story, he didn't even need to be manipulated as he would give his life away willingly.
In Gang ending broke my heart, he deserved so much better. He really was craving for genuine love and that would have saved him in the end.
See Jun death was also pointless as she still escaped and crawled from "hell". He is also a pitiful character being used by both his mom and AhJin. But at the same time he is her accomplice in all the story.
Obviously, this is not the kind of story where the evil gets punished. There is no saving or redemption, we have to imagine that the story just goes on.

I'm on episode 4 and I'm just not sure what this is about. The scenography, costumes and actors are gorgeous just…
I watched more of it and I did not figured it out either. Is just a pretty drama.
On Love in the Clouds Dec 1, 2025
I know this will be an unpopular opinion given the high score this drama has.
This drama is very weak in terms of plot, it has nothing intersting to offer. The high rating is obviously based on the visuals of the leads, their chemistry and the costumes. Because these are in my opinion the only outstanding things from the drama.
But the story? Is inexistent, a very weak plot line that is supposed to mask a "revenge". But nothing much is happening along the way to explore the real plot. Only the leads looking cute together and taking walks from left to right. The so called "plot" is just an excuse to have our two leads appear on screen together.
The FL is a pretty doll, and thats it, thats all she does she is pretty and talks nice. From a so called warrior she was reduced to an accessory for the ML.
I saw better dramas in terms of story with less budget than this one.
Keep watching if you want something light hearted to kill your time with.

Is this why there aren’t many translated TV shows depicting historical Japanese culture? My partner and I have…
I will try to give you a serious answer as much as my knowledge allows it on this topic. When it comes to media (music, TV shows, Movies and Dramas) Japan was always focused on producing these for their domestic market. Besides anime that caught the attention of the outside audience, the other aspects remained poorly marketed in the West. Even in the other Asian markets. That's because they never invested a lot in that area and they had no interests in expanding beyond Japan. And if there are no platforms to stream their shows or have them translated the general public cannot see them. Compared to how open was South Korea and how aggressive they promoted their entertainment products or even how China does it nowadays through their dramas. Japan was left behind, because even if there is some interests from the outside audience is difficult to access their TV dramas, on paid platforms. I would say in the past you could still find a lot of their dramas being streamed and translated by dedicated fans on some platforms that have now been closed for pirating: e.g. Dramanice (RIP that one, is being missed😩). But I think after the success of Shogun last year, there is an opening from the general public too and these platforms will start investing money into developing better shows. I personally watched in the past some of the Japanese historical TV shows produced by their local televisions but even if the actors are absolutely awesome their costumes, and the historical aspects. The writing of the stories is dull and feels a bit lackluster. On the other note, they have better movies with similar themes. And I recommend watching Ruroni Kenshin movies. Those are made after an anime but the movies are quite well done.

Oh, it makes you mad I have a vocabulary and you don't. Then go back to school and stop wasting time watching dramas. Use that instead for study.
It seems you don't understand much from them anyway.

Title Love's Ambition Spoiler
Ive only just watched the first 2 episodes and honestly I don't know if I can continue for the reasons you said…
From the comments, people say her redemption arc starts 15 episodes later. I dont have that much time to waste just to be served with another sobbing story.
And from the spoilers her husband turns to be quite horrible too. So I think this couple was destined to failure from the beginning. But they will probably wrap that s*ht like a glazed donut and give the fans a happy ending.
I talked with someone who watched all of it and they mostly agreed with my view about the FL.
Ofcourse, the drama is watchable if you not bothered by any of those silly schemes of her.

Please i beg you, don't watch it again, leave the drama be. Saying get into the plot like the plot wasn't in episode…
Haha.. You are the police of this drama?
I can watch what I want, come here and say what I want. I am also a viewer with an opinion of my own. This drama wasted my time and in exchange I can write my review in the same way as the others who appreciate it do it!

If you have a little brain and reading comprehension you will be able to notice that my critique was directed towards her CHARACTER in the drama and the story itself not the actress.
You can like an actor as a person, and appreciate some of their works but also dislike others. It means that you got a maturity and acquired taste in what you like and dislike! Also that you don't have to idolise someone to the point you can no longer have a sane judgement and personal opinion.

I really wanted to like this drama but I can't. Lots of useless, irrelevant filler scenes that makes me waste time. Get into the plot already!
I couldn't find any sort of compassion for the female character. She is just using the people around her, and playing a role to get what she want. She is a cunning, good actress.
In the end she proven that the only way she could make it in life it wasn't due to her extraordinary skills but she still needed a rich husband from a good family to back her up.
The moment she started using that old lady with dementia to get favors for her husband, I thought she reached her lowest but probably there is more to come in the upcoming episodes.
I wonder how she would have felt if someone used her grandma in the same way to win her favor in exchange?
Her sad childhood does not excuse such a spineless behaviour later in life. She is suffering from an inferiority complex and wants to prove everyone around her that she is better than them by acquiring financial gains. What this girl needs is therapy to learn to love herself and overcome her shortcomings not a "fake" marriage with a rich husband.
Also the couple scenes are boring AF, their chemistry is off and the ML is as charming as a piece of wood.
I like ZL, and I know this will be her last project for a while to come. Sadly is not my cup of tea.
On A Dream within a Dream Aug 30, 2025
I know this will be an unpopular opinion but this is only from my perspective alone. One of the flaws of this drama is that is too long. I think the story would have worked much better if they cut it to 30-32 ep or a max of 35. Even if the plot is refreshing and the drama has a good start, it gets quite boring after ep 25-27. There are too many filler moments, too much dragging where nothing intersting happens, lots of static episodes where the story goes nowhere.
I have a hard time completing this drama, and I have to fast forward some scenes even if I really liked most of it at the beginning. Overall this drama is quite overhyped because it has a few good episodes and funny moments.

The revenge did not get achieved until the end ( Episode 40 ). The FL lead plays a very important role in this…
I said the drama "falls short after half of the revenge is achieved". It means after the first main villian is defeated, the rest of the drama becomes boring pretty much.
What sizzling hot chemistry do you dream about? They had none, zero, that's the reality even if you like to defend your faves. And is not even the fault of the actors themselves, the story is not romance centered so they don't get the right type of exposure to develop their relationship. To me they seemed more like best friends or childhood friends in action.
Indeed we don't always need a kiss or romantic scenes to feel a tension of chemistry between the leads, I saw plenty of drama where even two men had more chemistry than these two together. Let's leave it like that.
Zhang Jing Yi is still a young actress, she has plenty to grow. I liked her performance in "Blossoms in Adversity", so she can do well when she is really the center of attention and gets to lead the story.
On Legend of Zang Hai Jul 28, 2025
This drama is half warm, half cold. The first half of the drama was much more interesting and spectacular, but I think the story telling falls short after half of the revenge is achieved.
Another aspect I did not expect in the drama is the supernatural one, at the beginning it looks like a simple historical setting drama but it also holds some mystery. I wish they would have introduced this aspect earlier in the drama so I could forseen it. The only thing I truly disliked was the Romance aspect and the casting for the FL. Somehow their romance seemed forced and unnecessary. Indeed this is not a romance centered story, so the development of their relationship falls somewhere in the background. Also the FL in my opinion was miscast, she does not inspire that smart, strong, resourceful and mature aspects her character should have had. Other than that the drama has many positive aspects to look forward too. Well fleshed characters, great acting, music, settings and decent costumes (except the ML wig).

Is China starting to open up to feminism recently? Lol I watched the drama for Yang Zi but the ridiculous feminism…
How is "too much"? Women wanting to have equal rights, to have the right to divorce abusive husbands and stand independent to make their own living? This drama is showing the struggles women had to face for Thousands of Years. In this case in a historical period of China, but generally speaking this happened always in different cultures throughout the world. And in some places oppression still exists.
And to teach you some history, this drama is set in the Tang dynasty, this is considered the Renaissance era of China. During this era women had the most rights, being able to hold official positions, run their own business, own properties, ride horses, hunt and even divorce. That will be probably shocking for your little incel brain.
This is also the only period in history where China had an Female Emperor (not Empress as in Consort, but as sole ruler). Look up for Wu Zetian and enrich yourself a little with some history and also educate yourself.
On Law and the City Jul 13, 2025
I started the drama because I found the Main Leads actors combination quite fresh and interesting, and I like both MGY and LJS.
But this drama seems a waste of good actors. Not a lot is happening (at least in the first few episodes), people are chilling, talking, and eating here and there.
Even if the drama is about lawyers, it seems to be more about the characters personal stories and not the cases.
I might keep watching this when I want to turn on something in the background without paying much attention to it.

Title Feud
I like Bailu and I check all her dramas. But this one gets quite boring by half of it. After episode 15 it becomes a dreadful boring story. I know that probably this is because of the arc in the human realm but not a lot seems to happen there. The story is quite poorly written and not captivating to want to keep watching. For who wants to keep finishing this drama, I recommend speeding through some episodes.
I enjoyed Moonlight Mystique so much more. I recommend that one over Feud.
