I didn't knew about the story of Ada Liu, its my first time seeing this actress in a drama and to be honest her character is my favourite among the 3 ladies. Chinese Nitizens are real Bullies, always the victims take the blame. 😢

Indeed. And I haven't really saw their relationship as something based on Love it was more of a Lust driven relationship. Hence the whole seduction process which was emphasised. The xxx scenes made me uncomfortable. 😂 They were weird, like the 1st scene when he was peaking through the door.

I hated those thin blonde eyebrows. Is like they wanted to make her look expressionless.
The actress natural eyebrows are gorgeous and thick. If you compare her makeup with the one It's Okay not to be Okay, is a huge difference.

I liked the drama but everything you said makes sense.
In a real world we know that things wouldn't be like this. The drama also failed to mention the many other crimes Han Pan Ro committed. For example the drama debuted with a part were he and his people killed 2 guys by letting them being mauled by the dogs. Another crime was the situation with the lady which was running the club and has been hit with the car. Why those crimes have been brushed of and not mentioned in the court or by the press?
Also there are is a scene were Han So Ra is getting called by some random dudes were they said they have some compromising pictures of some girl and wanted money in return but HSR just closed down the call without asking. What was that scene for? Who was the girl they were talking about?
I was waiting for an explanation of that scene but nothing was said.
The drama was mostly saved by the actors wonderful performance and ofcourse the whole setting and visuals.
I usually don't expect these dramas to make too much sense in a logical sense but the last few episodes things looked uneven.

Genre wise the 2 dramas are completely different. After I finished watching Wrtw I started this one. I have to say this one is more enjoyable until now. I definitely like the ML so much more in this drama. He is both handsome and cute and really good at playing. YangYang might be a famous actor in China but I haven't found him so enjoyable. I watched Wrtw for the FL.Anyway, if this drama continues to be so good until the end, with this flow and no boring/draggy moments then it's definitely gonna be on my top faves. I think it comes very close to a 9 at least.

The drama is barely mediocre. Sometimes there needs to be some realism and criticism also. It can't be only positive comments. I have the right to say my opinion as a viewer just as much as those who praise the drama. I am watching K-dramas since 2009, I saw all sorts of dramas.
And indeed I had another comment about the tacky styling in regards to some of the characters.

The biggest Plot hole of the drama is the Master-Pupil relationship between the two main characters which doesn't exist. Since he met her indeed he gets through some life threatening situations which are unlocking some of his powers. Those are just pure Luck. Even Naksu acknowledge that UK is just Lucky. And the only thing Naksu does is to say "this situation has unlocked your surge of energy... Blah blah". She didn't taught him anything useful except for some terms and the part where she told him to wield his sword though the water droplets. But there wasn't any major training arch up till episode 8 were we can see any Master-Pupil worthy moments. They just stare in each others eyes and that's kinda it. This is just another overrated drama getting attention only because is different not necessarily great. A praise worthy drama needs to be Perfect and have a flow which makes sense from top to bottom. Probably I will give a chance only for a couple of more episodes to see if there is any chance of redemption.

I think they tried to do something different and I appreciate their effort. But in my opinion there was still work to do. Some fittings are bad and look tacky.
I can give them points for creativity, and ofcourse given the unusual setting of the drama they had to give them a between unusual look but it could have been a bit more well defined. Now it looks all over the place.
About Dangu going to the brothels and being a trendsetter, this is not very well explained at least up to ep 7 where I am for now.
I wouldn't describe Mudeok servant clothes as stylish. Are just an edgy reinterpretation of the traditional basic clothes worn by the peasants. Her reinterpretation was alright but is not stylish. She is trying to disguise herself as a maid.
If they win an award its going to be for their uniqueness, as there aren't any recent fantasy kdramas made with a reinterpretation of the traditional hanbook.

Everyone has their opinion, likes and dislikes. I haven't got up to ep 10 yet.
But her hairstyle is just some loose curls with a fake braid coronet added in front. That coronet looks kinda poorly done and cheap.
They wanted to give her a Disney Princess vibe. A good hairstylist can easily make some braids from her hair and tie it over the ears and add the accessories after that. It would have looked natural, even and worthy of a noble lady which has attendants to help her.

The styling in this drama is awful to watch sometimes. Especially for some of the characters. For example that Jin girl. They could have made some braids from her real hair and stuck some flowers or accessories in it. The curls look awful, and poorly made. That fake braid also sticks her ears out.
The same with that blonde guy, is he a historical K-pop idol wannabe? I don't understand what they tried to do with his styling either.
They wanted to do something different in terms of styling with this drama. Like a mix of traditional and modern. But there was still so much work to do. Everything looks unfinished and floppy.

It took me about 2 months to finish this drama (because I have watched other dramas at the same time). But it was worth watching it until the end. Sometimes I found myself quitting some Chinese dramas right in the middle as the story becomes to draggy or make no sense anymore. And also because most of the time the characters are no longer true to themselves, suddenly the FL turn into brainless, weak damsel in distress or other characters become utterly st*pid.
But this one had a pretty consistent flow of the story and the characters improved in some aspects as the story progressed.

**S ALL SPOILER**
The only idiotic moment I recall is when the FL is almost loosing her life because of her st*pid martial sister and later on they are like nothing happened. B*tch your cute martial sister almost sent you the other world to meet your ancestors because she couldn't use her tiny brain and then you just brush that up like this? I hate this cliché of extreme benevolence often used in Chinese dramas were people don't have any grudge against someone who wronged them deeply.
It's also my first time watching a drama with Yangyang, I often heard people praising him but I personally wasn't so impressed. Neither by his visuals or acting skills.
Overall I enjoyed watching a drama where we had a strong FL and Zhao Lusi did great in this role.

I did the same. I really couldn't feel the story, everything was a mess. I found this drama interesting only for the first few episodes but it soon became boring.

Worth watching, the cinematography and story is beautiful.

That's bull***t. How can their clothes from dramas look anything like Japanese Kimonos?

I only have a few things to say:No character development + No chemistry.
I have started watching this drama for the main leads, the drama had a promising start. But again this proves that you can't have a proper story line and character development in a few episodes. She didn't developed any chemistry with any of the male leads in her life. Why even having her to go through a short fling with Raphael so she would just get back to Kang Jae in the end? She broke up with both of them for silly reasons. If is to draw a realistic line, none of them was better tbh.
The female lead was naive and immature, but is no surprise given the fact that her mother was also a naive women, having unhealthy relationships with men and she even got scammed for money. The grandma was the only women in this trio which had some brains.
I don't even know why Sung Hoon was listed as a Main character if he treated more like a 2nd lead. I hope he will get the chance to have a main role in a proper drama.

The rating on this page is really Unfair, this drama deserves at least a 9/10.
Lately Sagguk dramas are up to their game and I like that.

I had no idea. I just found his SNS account. I hope he will consider opening is own personal Instagram în the future.

I started this drama without high expectations and only out of curiosity as the theme and the plot seemed funny and interesting.
The drama was better than expected and it didn't felt draggy. The last 2 ep were a bit more melow but it was expected since they were supposed to close some chapters there.
The ML is great, I have seen him in other dramas before, the FL was also a good pick.

Unfortunately this drama didn't had so much success in terms of viewership in S Korea. I don't think their society is ready to accept their own flaws and wrong doings. Everything in this drama was like a mirror of their shortcomings as a society.

I agree, it was silly and unrealistic. He is an old dude, a grandpa literally.
