On the very first episode where Soo Hyun and Ga On interact on his rooftop I had a gut feeling she would meet an unfortunate fate... and as the story progressed it was predictable that the screenwriter would chose that path for the character, so to give Ga On the "motivation" and pain of loss to really get his act together and face the monsters that are lurking within that society. Many people are doubting Yo Han given his words and actions before so to have Ga On on his side, and the fact that Soo Hyun was indeed poking on his past with the incident that happened on that church 10 years ago. I believe in Yo Han. his methods are not the conventional ones, but in that dystopian world, biding by the laws only is not enough. Since the "laws" are made by corrupts and foul beings, the same ones that robbed him of someone he cherished and are taking the rights of others too. Soo Hyun and K's fate were not shocking , but as we follow the story and characters we get attached to them, hence the disbelief.
a friend of mine also mentioned something about Friday 13th... what does it mean? ๐ญ
I guess it's all superstition, for me Friday 13th is a normal day, I even own a black cat xD bad luck can happen all year round, there is no need to mind the date
Today's epi was a lucky one xD ironic to be on a Friday 13th, but I really am liking the development of the plot and characters so far. My only complaint, the epis are SHORT and it's one epi per week *sighs*
It's only the 2nd episode and it's already revealed to DM that SH is Yoon? XD wouldn't it be more fun if they would slowly, in the coming episodes at least, realize that by certain circumstances or events? I mean it's predictable that DM will keep it a secret to evaluate the kid now, although his prejudice is still evident... hope he has a development in his character in the long run. Although bickering sure is fun, there's a thin line that crosses bias and plain rudeness, which he has plenty in these first episodes.
Did you see today's episode? It seemed thoroughly Bas-centric to me. In fact it was 100% Bas-centric except for…
Right! The first scene... what a filler. Ait and James also have more screen time and always in the center for selfish reasons and unnecessary dramarama. James showed more power and guts in firing someone in the previous season and yet here he is passive and letting Tee fool him not once but twice or more. He does not have the power to fire him sure, but at least stop walking on eggshells there, the situation is tense and the production is in shambles. But what the matters most is the safety and health of the actor that was also left in his care and guidance, besides Ait. James said what he said but its all empty words, at the end of the day those two don't give a ddaeng about Bas or even Marco, their reactions simply show it. Ait is a lousy friend and colleague who only sees James in front of him and no one else. James is not even considerate to Marco, after he confessed they should have had a talk and understanding instead of those moments of silence, with awkwardness and then cracking the mood and going to see Ait who acts like a brat every time he shows up. I don't know but I think we all thought they were already end game in the first season, and by how broken Bas was this would be more centered in not only theme but scenes of Bas and Marco as a road of self healing, discovery and redemption. But 4 episodes in and well... I have no idea how are they going to wrap this in the next two episodes.
Anyone else done with Ait and James and how this season seems to be focused on them once again, instead of the whole arc of Bas and Marco, we all thought we would be able to see? Because I am ๐
i liked this show uptik now the comments seem disappointed with the ending can anyone give spoilers on if its…
To be honest its rushed in many ways, and a contradiction to previous episodes events, it's an ambiguous ending because the vibes aren't those of them settling together as couple but they do seem close again . The potential of this plot was ruined with certain events and characters and the right timing on inserting them, hence why the final episode was like so and why so many people seem disappointed. Many misunderstandings, time skip with an open ending.
WHY contradict herself in this ending... she complained he let go of her hand and she couldn't be with someone who did that for a fickle motive.... and GUESS WHAT SHE DID in like 15 minutes before the ending... that's right. Felt pointless and futile. Instead of focusing on the romantic or potential love triangle blah blah in this drama, they should have focused on the main leads relationship and finding the perfect house that can become a home for them both. Him who never found a proper home after his hard life events, and her who suffered from cons and ordeals to own a house and turn it in a home. However, why break up and ghost the man for 3 WHOLE YEARS??? And seriously they meet again, both smile and act as if NOTHING happened? Now I really enjoyed this drama, more in the beginning though, because on the second half it started to decline in value. The houses they show are good, and it's interesting but the plot couldn't be more rom-com filled with clichรฉ in between the lines and walls.
Anyone else both loving it and also intrigued by how Ga On comes and goes in the mansion or is it just me? I mean he is a regular resident by now xD we can be sure of that. Yo Han's little smile when they called him all of a sudden for a meal :') Elijah isn't the only one living in a cage there or craving for affection of a family and friends, so seeing these small acts as joint family is really heartwarming to see.
Ga On, honey, try and learn from the best XD Yo Han is teaching you valuable lessons in under 5 minutes. I mean in this episode alone the math skills he did, by subtracting the gold, add a few bills. Who cares if it's fake, the probabilities were endless there. It really shows that greed brings out the worst of people. It's just like he said, "There is no such thing as an innocent person in this world." And by the end of this episode he really gave the right examples to his newest pupil to see the true evil...
Ji Sung's acting is superb like always, he embodies Yo Han so well that it fits him like a glove. They couldn't have chose better, this role was made for him. Every single scene he does is enthralling to see.
Soo Hyun can be so infuriating sometimes, honestly why act so recklessly when in the company of a disabled teen.?? She should have called for backup right away the minute she decided to intervene and stop the car to stop the goons, placing herself in danger and Elijah no less.... brainless decision. SURE after everything is done she uses her cellphone to do just that. All it took was a dangerous situation and Yo Han and Ga On to show up for her to act up. Give a break I can't stand her attitudes like this.
once a week? solely 20 minutes episodes... the only good news it's that I get a bday present xD but oh the struggles of following this, they could have released everything like certain short dramas did. Why make us wait aish... And why only 20 minutes when they have these talented kids as leads *sighs*
for fans of FMV's here is one, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gHyWGJhiCQ woah it has been a long week, but episode 9 is near ๐ I cannot wait, so many theories over these past episodes that its hard not to grow suspicious of the turning of events and of course the clash of intentions of the main characters. Let's see how this brotherhood will get through everything.
Weirdly, I loved the movie Cruel intentions (1 and 2). Although, it was pretty cruel too, it did not come off…
as a fan of the original movie Cruel Intentions, I agree on that. Despite the ending of that movie, there was a certain closure and the bet and play wasn't depicted as cruel as the intricate scheming plot that they tried in here. Also the fact that it ended as it did, for the characters gives a cliffhanger vibe to the viewer who tends to expect more.
Maybe i'm reaching here, but I feel like the chief of justice (the guy that asked Gaon to spy on Yohan) has a…
Good theory. I am weary of his intentions the minute he made Ga On his spy even more so from this last episode. From what we can see in this drama, everyone seems to show a part of their greed in times of need and show their true selves no matter their position. We've seen cops and even firefighters who should aid innocents, take bribes and be silenced by the so-called rulers of this "free" dystopian world. So, why is so biased on Kang Yo Han and to take him down, it's a mystery of his own, and I don't think it is in the name of Justice either. I bet there are more plot twists coming in this intricate web of complex characters and he might just be one of them. I wonder if is using Ga On for a purpose, or if he is also involved into Ga On's parents death and is paying his dues or burying some secrets by trying to expose others.
Yo Han may be manipulative but he is also making himself be the monster people around him always made him out to be, from his childhood years until adulthood no one believed in him and tried to understand him. He is bad at showing feelings so it seems, and the storyline might be dubious on some of his intentions but that's what theories are all about. He is one of those who is in law but knows some criminals won't be punished easily by it, so he is creating his own laws, the cons of that are those idiots creating cults of his decisions by their sick mentalities. Unfortunately that is bringing him down but also by people who already have a cognitive bias when it comes to anything related to him, and Sun Ah planting seeds of doubts will be a thorn in many characters path. Yo Han is also trying hard to protect and punish those twisted psychos in that group by being undercover himself. They are only open their eyes now too, hopefully Ga On will open his too and start assuming on his own rather than being over emotional or trusting what anyone might say. A judge should learn proper facts before judging. I wonder if he did tried to know more about his parents death or accepted because he trusts others easily. I mean he has a cop friend, who is willing to do anything for him and help him out. So, it's rather intriguing what the next episode will be all about. It's up to Yo Han to stir things of the past, however by doing so, some secrets might be unveiled, and some I believe are quite related to that foundation who buys anyone no matter their status. People might say Yo Han will or is using Ga On, but I think it's the way he works, people might take him as a monster or a deity, but in the end he is human and we all have our own demons inside waiting to be unleashed. And isn't Ga On using him too? From this episode even Elijah, she entrusted him a secret and over night he takes her without her guardian consent to meet his best friend who so happens to be a cop, that all of a sudden tries to dig dirt on Yo Han. There are deep wounds there and resentment in that child, mainly towards her uncle but there's is also worry when he isn't around as she said he is all she has. Perhaps she resents him for not being able to save her parents and of course she has the survivor guilt the same as he does, She is not a child, but is a minor. It was a wrong move on Ga On's part to do so, Yo Han acted rashly there but there was also this desperate worry in him when not knowing of Elijah's whereabouts. Elijah is his weakness and maybe within time Ga On will be too because of the similarities with Isaac and their bond. Still, I believe in both ML. They have their personal agendas there, and may clash. But the snakes are being hunted down and the major viper is the mastermind behind all schemes and she seems to be having the time of her life trapping Yo Han, she is setting traps to make him go to her or to catch him with his guard down. She is taming the wolf down so it seems. It's quite intriguing to see their hunt game displayed like that. So, place a bet on your best fighter folks, because this war is just getting started ๐
