I already forgot when it went downhill 🤣so I take your word for it. For me the scene that comes to mind was the fake kissing in the car. Don’t get me wrong if show/actors purposely avoid real kisses so be it. I find it weak for romance based drama but I get the sentiment (married leads/older conservative viewers). But please, please, please don’t do the fake kisses or worse the comedy around the ‘intimate’ moments. That makes the romance really unbelievable! From the fake kiss moment I was really hoping it would redeem itself but sadly not (yet?).

Looks like Chinese society doesn’t see it as rape (WICH IT IS). So maybe (lack of) reaction from uncle, aunt and mom were spot on with current society.
I checked again but ex and mistress are really registered as support role. Then why o why have we go set trough their boring story? The way the romanticized the divorce was so weird! I realize I use this word al lot when it comes to this show but it is the most fitting. The dance in the park as if we are ending a great love story and not a toxi, violent cheating train wreck. Story SIL is still boring even when het masters collapsed and there was no follow up I didn’t mind. Bestie wasn’t present this ep, didn’t miss her at all!
Screentime main couple: Beginning show couple of minutes (seconds maybe). Two times on the balcony with the basket. Accidentally bumping into each other in the hallway (with 4 kids and Lili Jie). And that’s it people. Hope they get an hefty paycheck for showing up. Even the scammers get more screentime! What are writers/directors thinking?
I’m really coming to dislike the FL. To me it’s like she is selling her son. I’m all for parental rights and involving both parents. But in this case it is not in the best interest of BOTH children to be in much (let alone) unsupervised contact with dad and grandma. Why is she doing this? Maybe I’m just not getting it? Can anyone explain?
The villain raped his wife who was just back from the hospital, caused a miscarriage and yet it was not reported??…
Poorly written. The rape is unnecessary plot. The way he was violent and she was already weak it was enough for them to have a fight to lose the baby (if that was wat the writers were after). SA really doesn’t belong in a show like this (or in any). But if you do at least show the perpetrator getting a real and harsh punishment.

Like ex going to kindergarten and to her house. It almost real time shown and in combination with my disinterest for the storyline it really make this show a snooze fest. 😴 I hope I will find the courage to watch tomorrow.

I really don’t get that there isn’t a kind of red flag 🚩 going off when the ex shows up at kindergarten. He doesn’t have custody so it’s kidnapping or at least attempt.
Weird, weird, crazy ass weird! Main couple still isn’t the main focus. Their screentime together is 10%. They are always on their way to something else to do and surrounded by others. If that was their kids it would be just fine but not Jie Jie, MIL (who are the only to sides I actually like), FIL, weird SIL, weirder bestie and even ex-husband. There are no sweet scenes. I get it if it’s a no kissing show. But then show is some sweetness. Not that comedic ‘spice’. It doesn’t sell us they are a couple in love. I really don’t get the living next door accept for getting away from ex and ex in-laws. Meet each others kids at a park or playground and build in from there. Not from the balcony (another ‘funny’ scene gone wrong). I’m really bored out of my mind with the storylines of SIL and bestie. It’s getting on my nerves. Bestie marrying and crying in the taxi. So unbelievable at so not funny! Don’t get me started about the ex and mistress and her family. They feel like the plot of the show by now and it’s all so unbelievable. Him caring about his mother is giving me creeps right now. And the assault scene (rape) was so unnecessary and also unbelievable. Not that I wanted a more realistic scene, not at all! And then him at the hospital. Uncle punches and the they let him stay. No police. And then him in the hospital room where she is left all alone. The things he says are not even realistic for a bad character like him. Show is so dissapointing but I will watch (and comment) till the end!
