gosh yes, it ruins the thriller part of the drama because those two secretaries roles are not even funny one bit.
i think it should be fine with Christians as long as the Drama doesn't directly mock Jesus himself. There may be some issues with the God Lady in this drama though as she is depicted as an actual universe God; may offend some Christians but I'm sure some know it's just a drama and fantasy, it's not like it's a documentary.

Man its alright to criticise and admit Jin star the worst character since the redhead from AllOfUsAreDead. Unnecessary…
Star Jin is not a likable character yes, but Jo Hye Joo, the actress for Star Jin is actually really sweet and completely the opposite of Star Jin, this means that she did a really good job on portraying who Star Jin is as a person. I wish people didn't hate her as an actress just because they are so immersed in the story lol :(

doesnt this drama have a bad ending? Like no matter how hard he tries to survive, he just always ends up dying in the end and the message was that suicide is not always a peaceful way to go out but rather a punishment.

8.7 for this I guess Teenagers are taking over the MDL and they don't know how to rate a drama. it's good but…
MDL is for honest and how the audience felt after reviews. It's not meant to be all classy, to-the-book, and strict review ratings and scores. If people enjoyed it, they will give it a nice rating, other people can take it with a grain of salt and read other's experiences with the drama, if they watch it and like it, then good! the reviews resonates with the watcher; and if they don't like it, then the watcher's experience and taste is different from the majority of the reviews and thats okay. MDL is a place to share genuine thoughts and reviews and not nitpicking little details to a professional level.

So far i've been loving every 8.0+ rating dramas on MDL and it resonates with me.

I wish the main villain is a powerful supernatural creature. It will be more interesting to see the fight. We…
the villain and evil family stuff is just a subplot, the main plot is the romance which is why the villain isn't so powerful, but its still threatening since they HAVE to be together to be safe, they will be separated at some point to show you this danger.

Man I just love how Vigilante, our Protagonist, is completely right about everything at the ending. He proved to us how fucked up and exploitable the law and system can be. You can feel his rage in those eyes. An absolute corrupt and wicked police chief being praised for being a hero fighting against criminal organizations? Pffffttt that's going to boil everyone's blood!! That KJY scene at the end where he refuses to salute to the corrupted law is so colddd, he's going to definitely plan out the execution of the corrupt authorities and officials, but this time, it's going to be 10 times more crazy and meticulous.

Can't wait for season 2, the way the ending ended, it's 100% sure we are getting season 2 at some point later on.

Yeah 100%. He recognised him from the hospital, but he's scared of how the public would react if they found out…
It's so obvious that Kang Ok will be the scapegoat, he can be demonized into that he commits Vigilantism solely because of enjoyment and being a "fan". This could paint him badly in the public's eye compared to Jiyoung.

its because the drama isnt trying to portray Vigilante as a bad guy. They're trying to blend in the gray area…
I agree that they should tackle more bigger fishes like politicians and judges and etc instead of the small criminals that repopulates themselves all the time. But this is Disney, so they are going a medium level of depth and deepness since its only 8 episodes.

The reason why Jiyoung is tolerated more than Kang Ok is because Jiyoung can CONTROL himself, he rationalize before carrying out punishment. He GIVES second chances to those that didn't commit heavy and heinous crimes. Hell, I am surprised he didn't kill that Ganster for killing his beloved and PERSONAL old lady, but he held himself back and gave him a second chance to do better and turn himself TO THE LAW, Afterall he's still a police man but Kang Ok believed differently and killed the gangster. This shows that Jiyoung does have a sense of morality in a way, know why? Because he's still a Police Man at heart, someone who deeply cares about the victims involved and spends his own personal time researching a case and the criminals before punishing them and avoid punishing those who don't deserve it. He's a police man who's tired and stopped believing in the injustices carried out by the law of South Korea. Maybe Vigilantism can't be justified in groups and publicity, yes, but it is not entirely bad itself. Maybe my correlation with Batman was a mistake, but Vigilante is more like The Punisher but the difference is that Vigilante can control his rage. Now, where do we draw the line between MURDER and JUSTICE? well, that is entirely up to the discretion of the Punisher/Vigilante along with the victims and the people. If research is done well and truth is undeniably the truth, then it is NOT murder but justice. Take Self-Defense for an example (assuming that the self-defense lead to a fatal outcome of the attacker), is it murder according to the concrete book of law and principles? Yes of course; murder is defined as taking a life of another life but is it socially acceptable as murder and inherently murder in a philosophy standpoint? NO. Because the intentions are clear and the truth is undeniably THE truth. For change to happen, things need to be shaken and here in Vigilante drama, we can obviously see that the Law is shaken. Why do people support Viglantism the way they do? Why must they feel this way? Why have people lost hope on our judges, law enforcements, and authorities? It's interesting to ponder and this show is constantly reminding us this.

I don’t agree with ML every action but I really felt sad when grandma died .the grandpa scene made me even cry…
Our ML double checks everything before he seriously hurt the perpetrators. No criminals in this drama/show are innocent btw. It's not trying to be that murky and deep where it tries to throw in a couple of misunderstood perpetrators to twist the moral compass and direction of the story. It's more on focusing and criticizing on how flawed the law (especially South Korean Law/justice) is rather than making a line between revenge and vigilantism. And the "psycho" CEO has a lot more depth in the Webtoon, hopefully you'll see why he does the way he does.

I can't agree with your comment in the last para. sure it sounds very fair and cool but in reality it could be…
they did, he stalks them, research their biodata on the police system/database, confirm in person to check their behavior, checks if they are "redeeming" or trying to live a better life. If they still terrorize the innocents after serving time, he will go after them. He's not a ruthless bloodhound that hunts. He said it himself, he doesnt hunt, he punish and give justice to those who couldn't get justice from the law itself. Vigilante itself is not a bad thing, IF controlled and disciplined well. There's a fine line between being a Vigilante versus a Revenge psychopath.

dont think there has been a kdrama where i didnt find the journalists obnoxious lmaooo. they always waste too…
the journalists do waste time but in a way, they're helping Vigilante or our ML out. It's a symbiotic relationship that is essential for "Vigilante" to function and actually work while also helping the media criticize the law in a way that the public can AGREE and pay attention to. No public wants to watch old men debating about the law and fighting like childs, they prefer actions over words.

its veryyy fast paced. like this needed to be double the length to fully build the world its attempting to. im…
It's missing depth because of episode length, its a good show by all means. This is because Disney is on a streak pumping out dramas so quick so they're doing 8 episodes lately to compromise on the fact that they're going on a Quantity route over Quality; but quality is fine itself, it's just missing a small portion that can be looked past if you're watching this as pure fan-service or an action drama that's entertaining and satisfying seeing bad guys submit to total defeat. It's PURE revenge candy and service.

I like this a lot but it really should've been at least 14 eps to fully build the world and characters it wants…
its because the drama isnt trying to portray Vigilante as a bad guy. They're trying to blend in the gray area while also justifying and making a harsh criticism on the law and how it dictates reality incorrectly. The law here is the one that's getting a lecture. So many victims are hurt by the law and it outweighs the ones that are helped by the law. KJY only enjoy toying with the police because if he's caught, that means more victims would suffer because the law never changes and moves on. He doesn't resort to murder the first time so this means he has control over his righteousness, however, his partner in crime is completely different with a no mercy philosophy, eye for an eye. This show is more like a Batman portrayal but 5 times the intensity and scales and a lot more realistic. This is gearing towards a Superhero/Anti-hero vibe and you can clearly see the direction. A lot different than the Webtoon.

Title Vigilante Spoiler
What i like about the Vigilante or our ML is that he doesn't serially kill the criminals or repeating offenders and go on a murderous rampage like an angry bloodhound, he instead researches their backgrounds to make sure he's not killing people who are regretful and want to live a better life. And if they are still evil and scum, he meticulously stalks them and make them suffer the same/equal pain as the victims before killing them. This means that he's not just killing for his desire and urges but also for the victims; making him not a psychopath but someone who's tired of the justice system and wants to be a beacon of hope for the people who already lost faith and hope in the justice system. We can see this in Episode 2 when he avenges the Mother and the Son who were ruthlessly murdered by the criminal. He got emotional and upset when looking at the Mother and Son's Instagram page of them being happy all to be taken away by a criminal who was let out to roam free and didn't even learn from his crimes. To prove my point more on why the ML is in the right for his killings is he made the criminal watch and apologize to the dead Mother & Son by pulling up their happy instagram post before they were murdered to really let the criminal know that THESE are who he took away from this world and WHY this is happening to him; he begged to be spared but he never spared the victims when they beg. Proving that our ML doesn't just do this for his own desires and satisfaction but also FOR the VICTIMS; he really sympathize and empathize with them to be going this far. It's too many proof to show that we should be rooting for our ML's action and that this is a drama criticizing the legal and justice system; EVEN when their role is to uphold righteousness and fairness, but the drama is asking, how FAR will that go? How MUCH can that do to help the victims, restraint and stop evil? You can't end evil forever, but you can PREVENT it by using FEAR because it is a tool.
