1. Is the Crown Prince Zhang San's(Male Lead) son?2. I'm assuming Luo Zi Zhuo is playing both young Zhang San…
No. Shanyi (the woman from Yan) wasn't the CP's mother nor did she slept with ML. She was an assassin sent to act to sleep with ML. Just like his usual thing, he let her sleep on bed while he sleep on the floor but suddenly, Shanyi tried to kill him in his sleep. He fought back and killed Shanyi accidentally. Shanyi is the 2nd person he killed himself and since then he became a tyrant.
Who all have transmigrated in this apart from ML and FL
just ml and fl. sfl transmigrated too but not in real world, she's from a fictional modern world. in the novel that the fl was reading in the first ep, sfl's character is supposed to be someone who transmigrated into a cannon fodder who fell in love with the sml
if this drama goes by the novel route, then the answer is he's just guessing. he don't know they're characters,…
The arrival of ZS inside XHD's body caused the prince to act very villainy. (He witnessed something when they were a child and hated XHD). But to be fair, I think he is already wicked. On the original novel (the one FL transmigrated into), Prince Duan used FL to kill the tyrant then killed her too so yeah. He is already evil. His ways were now only different because ZS's arrival caused an effect.
I think you got the timelines confused, there's three stories/timelines here that changed through transmigrations.…
spoilers alert: (novel based)
For the first question, not all died in the novel. There were 6 scholars: One drowned in ep8, One was killed as an envoy, One died in illness. Only the trio: er lan, li yunxi, yang doujie survived (they are the trio in ep 10 who watched the taxes act on the street).
For the last questions: 1. ML invited them because he needed their help. These scholars are the greatest scholars in the novel so taking them in is the biggest advantage. He needs to turn them to his side before his brother steal them. 2. They passed the exams because ML gave them money to bribe the officials and to secure spots in different ministries (to be insiders). They used bribery because they can't enter in a moral manner. This is the only way to not arouse any suspicion and avoid being targeted. 3. They reside in a different house. ML gave them houses and also other names. (SFL already gave the list of these scholars to SML so our mcs needs to hide these scholars' identities to hide them from SML) 4. Based on my understanding: For outsiders, the scholars are nothing more than corrupt men who bought their way into office—unbacked, unaffiliated, and politically irrelevant. The high ministers pay them little attention, too preoccupied with the ongoing power struggle between the Queen Dowager’s faction and Prince Duan’s. But well, we know that's not the truth because they are actually good people and sided with the emperor.
im confused why xia hou bo knows theyre only characters?
if this drama goes by the novel route, then the answer is he's just guessing. he don't know they're characters, he thinks they're some sort of other worldly person like divine beings that could foresee the future. he wants to take an advantage so he wants SFL, and also turn FL into his side because well, in his pov they're useful because they can predict what will happen
read the novel because I can't wait for the episodes to drop and I really love it! I hope they tweak the story a bit and change the supporting characters fates 🥹
Guyz, I am confused. Why is SFL acting like she's been in love with SML for a long time. I thought she got transmigrated…
SFL is still a character in the book. Basically, the book is about SFL transmigrating, so her being a transmigrator was already her predetermined fate. She is not the same kind of transmigrator as our FL. SFL loving SML is also one of her fates in the book. In reality, it's not normal for concubines to have affairs with other men but the emperor wasn't strict with his harem. Also, the empress dowager like the concubines having affairs because in this way, the emperor won't conceive any child and she would still be in power. (as you also notice, there is no empress in the harem because the dowager wants to take all the power)
I came here after finding out that Meng Ziyi and Wang Hedi were cast in this drama. They were honestly the last actors I expected to play these roles. Novel-wise, I don’t really think they fit the characters, but if the story is changed a bit, then maybe it could work. (I 100% think they will change the story or remove some arcs)

I don't know if I explained it clearly or not...
