Props to the Princess for bowing out and respectfully moving on. I can't tell you the number of costume dramas where the Princess is a complete psycho that obsesses over a man who doesn't want her.
i kind of hope that they hold off on this one until March/April(cherry blossom season/spring) just so that, selfishly,…
Rumors are circulating that's when Flourished Peony second part will be out for that exact reason you want this drama to air around that time. I hear that this may air Feb 25th so that's close to March and First Frost would have aired a decent amount of episodes, so The Best Thing won't be completely overshadowed.
I enjoyed this drama and thought it was nearly perfect but I had to give it a 9.5 for a couple of reasons.
One: The FL was supposed to be 28 but to me, she looked on the verge of 40; even older when she was makeup-less in scenes. Not age shaming but I was taken aback every time the other lawyers would call her and the the 2FL young. Why not hire a younger actress or better yet let them play as there actual ages.
Two: The discrepancy on how the FL wanted to handle her husband vs the mistress. I get it the mistress was no angel but neither was her husband and the way she went so hard for a man that left her for dead was crazy to watch. It made me lose respect for the FL; especially at the end.
Three: The ML's lack of screentime was abysmal. There would be episodes on episodes and he wouldn't show up and even when he did show up it wasn't for long. I would have rather watched his cases as opposed to the FL's. He was more suited as a lawyer then she was.
Her eyesight becomes blurry at times making it difficult for her to see for what seems like seconds but at the present, we don't know if her eyesight will be gone forever or if it'll eventually get better over time.
The emotion part of this drama comes across as forced in my opinion; it doesn't come across as organic, so a lot of things in this drama annoy me that I might have overlooked otherwise.
The FL has an issue with her eyes that she hasn't disclosed with the ML, but goes to a war zone of all places; as if she isn't already a liability???🙄
