On The Story of Pearl Girl Nov 1, 2024
I have been in a drama slump for almost five months. I haven't been into anything recently but I believe this drama just cured it. The first four episodes were pure cinema. The underwater scenes in particular are just gorgeous.

It was a really cute rom com. I do feel like the second couple had a better storyline and romance arc and I did feel as though the ending was a bit rushed but this was a really enjoyable drama. An 8.5/10.

How many more people are going to sue saying their movies have the same plotline? I guess everyone is a thief or maybe just maybe there's nothing about Squid Game that's so polterizing that similar people have come up with the same concept. It's just the fact that this was the project that became popular and there's didn't.

This is my favorite airing Kdrama. I like the main couple but the second couple has my full attention the most. Bok Gyu Hyun is so awkward and socially unaware that it's easy to forget this man is an actual CEO. I like how Ja Yeon is written she's sweet but she's no pushover.

Okay everything aside, am i the only one who finds Seung hyo's ex kind of annoying? lol
I just don't understand why she's still needed on the show?

Wait, I'm a bit confused. Where was Ji Uk all those three months after he married Hae Young? I only saw him with…
I hope this will be addressed and why he hasn't answered any of her calls during that time.

I'm interested in the CEO and the author's storyline because the secretary seems well-suited for her. I'm usually not a fan of love triangles but I'm a sucker for the enemies to love trope.

Great chemistry, great acting, and smart characters. Solid 9/10 for me. Sometimes the humor was out of place and the ending felt rush, so that knocked it down a point for me, but still a really good drama that I'd rewatch again in the future.

Didn't you heard about other remakes too?
I'm the same age as you and I was shocked that I loved it as well. The nostalgia is probably what made us enjoy it so much. The way she reacts felt very much anime like and because I love anime it actually made it more enjoyable to watch.

The plot was abysmal but this drama has one of the best ML's I've seen in a drama. He's considerate, romantic, and incredibly protective of the FL. It'll give a 7.5.

Why do people always complain about age gaps between men and women? As if there aren't age gaps in movies and tv shows where we come from. Just enjoy the drama when it comes out or don't watch it. I think they make a nice pair and from the booting ceremony videos they already seem comfortable around each other.

I love how they kept that part too.. it show raw emotion and real emotion.. which she is developing panick attack..…
I'm use to revenge dramas glossing over that; which isn't a problem for me but adding it in makes the character feel more human.

I loved that she openly says all those things to him, knowing he can go check on "her corpse".
And he did just that, like she knew he would. That scene made me realize how smart the FL was because it didn't even cross my mind to put another body in her place.
